Ordered food via Just-Eat. Food came way too early, not everyone was home yet. I received zero support over the phone, no response, nothing. I only ordered there once and it was the last time.

It's a shame, my wife and I were really looking forward to the meal, but the order arrived very disappointing, the worst sweet and sour I've ever had.

Hmmm. What can I say. Food ok, not great. Very bland and not seasoned at all. Unfortunately there are better Thais in Baar. Unfortunately we won't be going there anymore. Sorry

Food way too spicy, even though ordered extra mild. No new food received. Would have had to pay for the whole thing again in full and wait another hour. No accommodation and very unfriendly. Not insightful. Stay away from this restaurant!

Very good Thai restaurant in Baar. The service was friendly, but could have been a little quicker. Especially since there weren't many guests in the restaurant. The food, however, was very tasty. The price is quite high, but not okay.

For take away you have to use the back entrance (!). Take away customers are not good enough for the main entrance but still have to pay full price. The taste of the food was okay, but for CHF 26 I expected a little more meat and much, much less beans. The beans made the food watery. I won't come here again.

Very nice and cozy little Thai restaurant in Baar. The Pad Thai was really nice. Personal very friendly. I am only giving 4 Stars because the sauce of my entry dish was not home made, was actually from a bottle. Be specific if you want your food to have some extra spicy 🌶️ chilli.

We took some take away food here and it tasted good to very good (4 stars). The portions were big and the cost of the food (chf 20.- tofu; chf 23.- chicken) was okey. The interior of the restaurant was very nice and so was the staff.

Very nicely decorated small Thai restaurant with warm atmosphere and excellent, freshly prepared and traditionally served dishes. The menu covers all relevant Thai flavors, supplemented by vegetarian options. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

Ich bin auf das Ruan Siam während der COVID Phase über Uber Eats aufmerksam geworden und habe dort mehrere male bestellt. Das Menu, auf der Webseite und insbesondere auf Uber Eats ist gut, übersichtlich und verständlich aufgebaut. Positiv ist, dass die Allergene überall aufgeführt sind auf auf Uber Eats auch Fotos bei den Menus vorhanden ist.Das Essen welches bei mir zu Hause per Uber Eats geliefert wurde war frisch und warm. Geschmacklich war es ein Genuss und ich habe sicherlich nicht das letzte Mal hier bestellt.

Ordered take away. Spring rolls, dumplings, red curry and a wok dish. +hot, ready on time - bland with the wok / special taste with the red Thai curry. Unfortunately we didn't like it at all. No comparison to Benjarong!

We used to come here from time to time, but the quality had deteriorated a bit. There was a change of ownership about a year ago and we were positively surprised in every respect. Good food, friendly service, beautifully presented dishes, fair, almost cheap prices. We will definitely come back.

Das Lokal ist klein und dezent eingerichtet. Sehr nette Bedienung, etwas schüchtern. Wir waren zum Geburtstagsessen dort. Ich habe dies Info mehrmals erwähnt, aber leider keine Reaktion vom Personal. Schade, da hab ich schon schönere Erfahrung machen dürfen in anderen Restaurants. Das essen war sehr lecker. Der Dessert der thaimango für fast 16 fr. Finde ich jedoch zu teuer, wenn sie auch geschmeckt hat.

I find the selection to be broad and, as before, most of what I received in front of me didn't taste bad at all. The restaurant is really beautifully decorated. No cheap decoration, instead the colors were very beautifully coordinated. Super tasty summed up. This restaurant really has the potential to become my next favorite place. Really quick and nice service. I think that the entire restaurant staff did a great job.

Delicious home made Thai food in nice atmosphere

Auf der Suche nach einem thailändischen Restaurant wollten wir dieses Restaurant ausprobieren. Leider war der Abend eine grosse Enttäuschung. Wir waren oft in Thailand und sind mit der thailändischen Küche sehr vertraut. Als Vorspeise haben wir Tom Kha Gai Suppe und Glasnudelsalat bestellt. Die Suppe war fad mit zuviel Kokosmilch und ohne die nötige Schärfe. Auch beim Glasnudelsalat hat die Schärfe gefehlt, ausserdem war es ungewöhnlich, nebst Shrimps auch Muscheln vorzufinden. Das grüne Thai Curry war angerichtet mit einem Übermass an Bambussprossen aus der Dose. Lediglich das Paneng Curry war akzeptabel. Verwunderlich auch, dass nur eine Sorte von einem Produzenten offener Rotwein auf der Karte ist. Wir hatten noch ein Mango- Dessert bestellt. Dieses war schlichtweg ungeniessbar, aufgrund des chemischen Geschmacks.Das Ambiente gleicht eher einem Schnellimbiss. Aufgrund der Qualität der Speisen und des Ambientes finden wir die Preise zu hoch und nicht angebracht.

Ruan Siam is a lovely cozy restaurant in Baar.After not being there for a while I was pleasantly surprised. The food is very tasty and nicely presented and the staff are very attentive and kind.I enjoyed the Thai Curry & a dessert which was like art!It was a perfect lunch with a lovely view of Fassnacht on the streets!Grateful, Thanks Ruan Siam.

We have eaten in here many times (it can be hit or miss) but fancied an easy meal at home.The staff are always so sweet but regardless of that, this was a vile tasteless mess of dishes which I couldnt be bothered to drive back to get a replacement. Shall save myself SF60 and make cheese on toast next time.

Under new ownership, there's no store anymore, and the atmosphere is less nice and more clinical now (before they remodeled you could see into the kitchen for example.) Still friendly service, but the pad Thai was one of the most forgettable ones of my life.

Been there one evening, hoping for a beautiful and fragrant Thaï meal.It was indeed very pretty, really tasty and it looks neat and delicate, home made...but how can we justify this price...?CHF 90 for two people, sharing a starter, 2 soft drinks and 2 meals.Even from a Swiss standard, this is expensive.The tastes do not redeem the price.

Used to be much better. Price is high for what you get. I really expected better food. Service is truly good though and the selection is very good. I personally find it too toned down for the market's taste. I find the Thai restaurants in Lucerne much more authentic. Probably won't eat here again.

Authentic Thai cuisine! This is a family run restaurant with terrific service. We arrived quite late but they were still very hospitable and let us stay way past closing time to enjoy our food. Food is also superb with beautiful presentation. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant!!

The food from the previous owner was better and more authentic. Now the food is like a takeaway from a Chinese restaurant mixed with Thai. Unfortunately, it's not that special anymore. The portions are also much smaller.

Super Essen mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Das kleine, aber feine, Restaurant hat ein sehr schönes Ambiente anzubieten mit reichlicher Auswahl an Speisen aller Art. Das Dessert gab dem ganzen Abendmahl einen ruhigen, aber geschmacksexplosivem Abgang. Sehr empfehlenswert!

We were able to spend a wonderful evening here. We chose this small restaurant for our company Christmas dinner this year (13 people). The location within sight of Baar train station is perfect for such an occasion. A small buffet was prepared especially for us. The tables were lovingly decorated, the food was excellent and the hospitality was fantastic. Thank you very much for this unforgettable evening.

Mein Mann und ich fuhren über eine Stunde von Interlaken nach Wattwil. Wir haben uns das Online-Menü angesehen und es sah so gut aus. Es war jedoch schrecklich, als wir dort ankamen. Es gibt anscheinend nur eine Kellnerin, die uns nicht einmal an einen Tisch geholfen hat, den wir selbst finden mussten. Wir lieben Tom Yamsuppe und Papayasalat. Also entschieden wir uns, 2 Suppen und 2 Salate mit Getränk zu bestellen. Der Kellner bestritt jedoch, diese Bestellung anzunehmen. Sie sagte, ein Hauptgericht sei obligatorisch. Sonst verkaufen sie nicht. Wir waren schockiert. Ich sagte ihr, warum das so ist. Sie sagte, es sei in der Menükarte erwähnt und wies uns darauf hin. Ich sagte ihr, dass ich ihr Online-Menü durchgesehen habe, aber es gab nichts. Sie sagte, sie könne nichts tun; Entweder fügen wir einen Hauptgang hinzu oder sie kann nicht dienen! Nicht einmal eine Entschuldigung von ihr. Sie sagte, der Chef sei nicht hier, weil es Sonntag ist! Schrecklicher Service, also gingen wir.Wird dieses Hotel auf jeden Fall nicht empfehlen.

Disclaimer- i Review all places as a vegetarian. Based on taste and selection. For vegetarians, this place has TONS of options. I felt like a kid in a candy store!! But the taste was super average. If you come here, choose the curries and spring roll. The noodles smelt really weird and was sweet. Overall, a three for taste and 5/5 for selection. Would I come back? Only if I had no other option. Its also very pricey. But portions are good. Btw they are open on sundays.

Letzten Samstag Abend ging ich mit meiner Mutter und meiner Schwester in dieses Lokal, da die durchwegs positive Resonanz unsere Neugierde geweckt hat. Das Ambiente ist schön eingerichtet. Obschon das Essen geschmeckt hat bewegen wir uns hier in einer eher höheren Preisklasse. Nichts desto trotz - wir kommen gerne nochmal!

Meine Freunde und ich hatten lust auf etwas asiatisches. Per Zufall entdeckten wir dieses Restaurant. Am Anfang war ich sehr skeptisch da der Preis relativ hoch war. Ich ass das Menü: gebratene Poulet mit Chilli (weiss nicht mehr genau wie es richtig heisst). Jedenfalls hat es für uns sehr gelohnt. Das Essen war mega fein!!!

Die Bedienung war sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Dafür mangelte es bei der Qualität des Essens. Die gebratenen Nudeln meiner Partnerin waren sehr fade und meine Ente mit Curry war völlig trocken. Für diesen Preis erwartet man einfach eine bessere Qualität beim Essen, auch ein bisschen ein schöneres Ambiente und ein besseren Blick fürs Detail. Der Tisch war lediglich mit Papiertischsets gedeckt.Bei all diesen guten Bewertungen hätten wir wirklich viel mehr erwartet.

The restaurant is nearby the train station. I stopped there for lunch. A buffet was proposed for 26 CHF, including 1 drink: Chicken Tom Yum soup, Sweet&sour vegetable, Green Curry with parfumed rice.All is flavoured, delicious, with friendly, smiling welcome. Highly recommended.

Schon anfangs falsche Getränke serviert. Statt Nudeln mit Shrimps wurde ein verkochtes Reisgericht serviert. Gerichte werden plump serviert ohne Dekor oder Blumen wie sonst bei Thailändischen Spezialitäten üblich ist. Das Küchenpersonal war gleich der Service. Für solch ein Preisniveau geht das gar nicht. Fastfood Style!

Durch Zufall auf dieses Schmuckstueck gestossen. Der sehr nette Thai service war 1A, sogar eine interessante Weinkarte ist vorhanden, wer haette das gedacht! Gute portionen zu fairen Preisen! Das sieht man genre. Unbedingt probieren, beef with hot basil und das traumhafte chicken green curry! Der Gastraum ist etwas klein, daher besser reservieren!

The best Thai restaraunt i have ever been in. I have travled around. Eaten in a lot of places. I considder eating out a hobby, it is one of the most enjoyable things a person can do. Goo food and company is pure pleasure. And this place really dishes up an incredible plate of food. I can highly recommend 206. A dish that is just above the spicy line of hot spicy. Wonderful sweet chilly crispy chicken beef or prawns. They are deep fried in a delicuous batter coating served uo in a piping hot dish with plenty of sauce with spring onions and chilly. Complemented with a very tasty bowl of basmatic rice. This with a cold beer. Any day of the week. Fantastic food.

Sehr authentische Thai-Küche in kleinem Restaurant mit sehr freundlichem, thai-schweizerischem Wirtepaar. Mittags Buffet mit verschiedenen leckeren Gerichten (auch Take Away), abends a la carte. Es hat von allem etwas dabei, von Currys über Stir Fry und Tom Kha Gai bis Papaya-Salat, von sehr spicy bis mild und auch vegetarisch. Faire Preise, sehr lecker und immer wieder einen Besuch wert!!

Ich liebe das Essen im Ruan Siam. Die Küche ist dt frisch und schmeckt wirklich wie in Thailand. Die Portionen sind gross und es wird nicht an Gemüse oder Fleisch gesparrt wie in vielen anderen Asiaresturants. Das Essen ist leicht und nicht zu fettig. Aber die Preise sind astronomisch hoch! 30Fr. für ein vegetarisches Nudelgericht, 14Fr. für einen Vorspeisesalat... Fies gibt leider einem Punkt Abzug.
