Great Swiss Alpine ambience - with goats and St. Bernards. All that's missing is Heidi. Great terrace with wonderful sun and a great view. We came here from skiing. Tip for all snowboarders: take the descent via Nagens (red 18). The blue piste is an adventurous path through the forest, which is nice for skiers, but as a boarder I cursed quite a bit. (The directions on the website could be more detailed). The food was very tasty - of course we all had hash browns. The dessert was also great. We'd love to come back - next time we'll know the way. 😋

The Restaurant terrace is perfect for having a hot soup after a long walk or after a day of skiing. It is up the mountain on the slopes. You can get there by skiing or walking. The landscape is spectacular.

After a short walk you arrive at this small refuge where you can have lunch. The dishes are good (Rosti a little small if you are someone who likes to eat a lot - the pizzoccheri are very good and served with apple) and the service is effective. The price is consistent with the prices normally found in this area of ​​Switzerland.

Very good local cuisine. The service was a very poor and disappointing experience. What happened: Small accident while eating, the Runca Höhe employee watched and didn't help. He didn't help with the cleaning and the replacement of the spilled food had to be paid for again. In addition, his constant, strange and curious looks were very disturbing. Too bad for the good food, we won't go to this restaurant again.

Typical local food with a view over the mountains and valley of Flims. Great stop if you are hiking or biking in the area. You can get traditional and vegetarian capuns which were great, as well as pizokels. Atmosphere was relaxed and quiet, with no background music. Decor is also basic.

Eating a Rösti after a long hike before heading back down into the valley in the sight of bustling orienteering runners who are bursting with fitness is an experience.

We come here every year at the end of the year and it has always been excellent. On sunny days it is advisable to make a reservation due to the large number of people. Be sure to try the Rösti specialties.

Fantastically located, pretty house with a large terrace at about 1300m, great view with mainly a view to the south, very fine (including local) specialties, very nice, courteous service, top value for money. Great stop... no matter whether it goes up or down, long or short tour... either way, not a bad choice. Price/performance in itself is completely ok. There is enough space, including a playground. Friendly service. Easily accessible from the last parking lot in about 20 minutes

The food is simply great. The pizokels are simply great, and the sausage salad is great. The innkeepers put in a lot of effort. The boss simply cooks delicious food and the boss takes care of the service. Plus an amazing view. Just great!!!

Really relaxed hut. The St. Bernard "Ramses" sneaks around in a deeply relaxed state. There are goats and a rustic playground with an adventurous zip line. Don't expect a fancy hut inside or out, but rather an honest affair at a beautiful vantage point.

Small cozy mountain hut, friendly staff, good food

Very tasty food, good service, great atmosphere!

Located on the Flims waterway and invites you to have a leisurely drink and satisfy your hunger. Don't be alarmed by the big dog that greets you upon arrival. We showed up there accompanied by our little Yorkshire lady, who wasn't even paid much attention to, so other dogs shouldn't be a problem either.

Runca Höhe - stopped here by chance. Rustic mountain restaurant with a fantastic view. Friendly welcome from the pretty landlady and the beautiful St. Bernard. At first I wanted Rösti, but then decided on the Graubünden classic “Capuns”. My capuns were a culinary delight - as were my wife's alpine macarons. Prompt, friendly service made our stay on the Runca the highlight of this holiday week in beautiful Flims!!

Very good regional food, rustic hut. Very nice service and a deeply relaxed Bernese Mountain dog that belongs to the hut round everything off.

We reached it very easily on foot by taking bus 125 to Nagens from the Val Vau bus stop. The Oberland Pizokel were very tasty! With the family pass, which you can purchase as a guest card holder, you get a large family portion for 30chf. *Thumbs up*

Well I've never been here. BUT! Yesterday in a vintage junk store in the Detroit area I found this awesome sticker that I knew was a restaurant and the art made it look fun - beer and desert! What's better? I had to look this place up as I had no idea what Flims was. Now I know it's a place - a very wonderful place! The views look amazing so much so that I wonder who cares about the food? Well only someone from a flatland like Detroit , Michigan would think like that - those that are accustomed to such beautiful scenery when dining would expect great food too. Either way I hope to make it to Switzerland one day soon and when I go I'm definitely going to this place to have beer and 🍨

Cozy, friendly and down to earth

We are happy to be guests in bad weather as well as in good weather. This also applies before and between seasons. the food is great and the atmosphere is cozy. Unfortunately, when the staff outside is busy, they don't have an overview of who came when and leave out those who have been sitting at a table for a long time and have also reported to the staff for an order. After waiting 40 minutes to order we left.

Actually our favorite hut in Flims, which we've been going to after skiing for years: great food, rustic, nice people, not too big - but unfortunately they've been playing popular music and advertising après-ski for some time now. This spoils the good mood and reduces the rating from 5 to 2 stars.

Very dedicated service. Unfortunately, the food is pretty standard gastro wholesale, especially the Capuns. The pizzokels had practically no vegetables and were more like dumplings in shape. All in all, a good place to stop for a break.

Referring to the other one star ratings, it is essentially copy-paste: service extremely slow or not available (waited for more than 30'), eventually took our own initiative to find out, that the items we wanted were not available anyway (along with some unacceptable excuses)..... what finally had us leave for good, were disrespectful clients who squeezed themselves in on our table without asking and then lighted multiple cigarettes to fumigate us away. Sorry, we tried multiple times, some experiences were a bit better but this one did it. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area that can cope with Xmas/New Years Eve holiday, perfect snow and wheather conditions and lots of clients!
