I have to correct my review! We were in the restaurant today, the food from the buffet was very good and the price-performance ratio was great! (30.- per person for all you can eat) The service was also very friendly! I would be happy to come back. Points for improvement: Most of the meat comes from abroad, which is a shame! Maybe it would be possible to make a curtain at the entrance, today the cold air came into the restaurant, so it was quite cool.

Very bad experience. Will never go there again anymore! I was asked immediately what I will drink? The waiter came and told me my little kids should put the water away because it is a restaurant. My kid is small and he made him afraid! He was angry. I advice nobody to go there! Food quality and staff behavior got worse.

Alcohol-free, very cozy, food and service top

I, being Indian, have experienced dining from Australia to the USA, consistently steering clear of imitation Indian cuisine. Sahar offers genuine Mughlai dishes, reminiscent of those served in India and Pakistan. The Saturday brunch buffet is truly exceptional. In comparison to other Indian restaurants in Zurich, the prices are reasonable, and the portions are ample.

Visited Sahar for dinner, straight after 7+hrs of driving from Paris. Easy nearby parking was available. Spacious and well decorated restaurant with soothing ambiance. Just what I needed after a tiring day. The gentleman serving us was amazingly helpful and caring. Service was excellent and efficient. We did not have to wait for long. We ordered a variety of food and everything was of high quality, delicious with authentic flavours. I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant, if you are in Zurich and feel like having quality halal Pakistani food.

Execrable welcome, to avoid for foreigners

This restaurant is just across the road opposite to Glattzentrum. It has nice ambience and service. Foodwise I liked their starters more, main course is okayish. Staff speaks hindi and they also play hindi songs which I liked the most.

My experience was delicious with this restaurant. It is located in a restaurant complex on the street. The area is very nice and quiet Prices are as usual in Switzerland. I ordered chicken biryani or plain, I forgot, tikka masla and 2 Pepsi. Our account was 70 francs, approximately 300. But the food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the place is clean and classy

Worst service in Switzerland. Food was old, costly and also tasteless. We ordered Dal makhni & Paneer. Staff was rude and degraded quality of food. I do not recommend it to anybody. Please save yourself from this.

**Not Recommend** Food taste is not good - Cooked by non-professional, unnecessary food colours added, which are not good for health. Staff behaviour was very rude. It was my first visit and it was vacant. Not a single customer. Definitely a no repeat customer. ☹️

** Worst Experience ** Had the worst experience till now in Switzerland. Sky rocketing prices for tasteless food, worst hospitality I have ever seen in a so called Indian restaurant. Dark atmosphere, rude staff and bad service.

From the buffet, very tender chicken and very tender, tasty lamb in a fine sauce with a firmer consistency with various side dishes at your discretion. It met my taste exactly. If you like spicy, you can add chilli and co. to your liking. season. Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. Gladly again! 👍🤓

I think the owner is Pakistani, the food is very meat-heavy. It has little South Indian food, generally less vegetarian food. Nordic or Pakistani food is okay, nothing special. In terms of price it is rather expensive. Service is nice. Location is great, very central and yet quiet.

I'm a total fan of the takeaway vegi box. You can't have enough of their spiced rice, daal and spicy vegetables.

I love the fish curry with sesame naan and rice. Lamb dishes and chicken dishes that I have tried are also highly recommended. The take-away offer at lunchtime is super good and has a very good price-performance ratio. The dishes on the menu are a little more expensive in proportion. Brunch at lunchtime is also very tasty and recommended.

Service staff give advice on the buffet rather than from the menu. Ordered two vegetarian dishes, the waiter repeated the order twice - when we got home, there was a meat dish. Palik Paneer, watery and tasteless (ready-made product). 67.- for a meal you can't eat. Simply a disgrace!

Excellent desi buffet, halal and alcohol free. One of the few restaurants that publicly states it on their home page. They also have an official prayer room, which is something I've only seen in the US and UK.

The best Halal Pakistani food restaurant in Zurich, Staff is so cooperative & helpful specially Mr Abbas is a very nice person, I highly recommend specially for families or Orgniaze events.

I was there at lunch buffet for 21.50 chf. The staff was not friendly. Curry fish was finished only curry sauce left and the other food was not so tasty. They also dont have draft beer. I do not recomend this place.

I am very happy to visit and take away my lunch from Sahar. Very good taste and services. Highly recommended if you are in Zürich,Switzerland. Owner was very friendly and shared his experience how he has this Restaurant since quite long time. Owner also gave us some Indian Chai to take away while we were leaving for Hotel. It was non chargeable as good gesture 😇. I felt like I am home in India. Thankyou!!

This is a very good restaurant. A must try if you visit Zurich once and looking for a good quality food. We were lucky to have weekend Buffet menu. All dishes were traditionally prepared and each one had a unique taste of its own. Comfortable sitting place and good customer service.

I incorrectly put in my order as "pick up" instead of "delivery" and when I contacted them about it a nice man brought me my order. I'm very grateful for that.

Lovely restaurant with amazing service and located in a nice location. Only downside was (maybe because we have alot of options in the UK) is that felt like alot of the food was the frozen ready meats you can buy. But tasted non the less and was halal!

I love the buffet. Price performance is right. There is always a great selection of food. I also really like ordering the mango lassi. Thats so yummy. The service is very friendly and we always feel comfortable in this different culture. The ambience is also very nice. There is even a stage for family celebrations of Pakistani and Indian culture. One thing you should know is that no alcohol is served here. I don't miss it. I just love exotic cuisine. We like to go there again and again. The flatbread is always the personal highlight for me. This is best warm. They always make it fresh. My plate can't be seen so well in the sun. Here I put together dishes from the buffet.

It was good. We will be back. Very friendly service and the main course was very tasty. Unfortunately the soup couldn't keep up. I would like a little more Indian touch in the restaurant.

Unfortunately, the restaurant does not have any Indian flair, neither in the furnishings nor in the background music, which unfortunately was not there at all. Therefore deducting a star. The staff is very friendly, courteous and quick. You can also see into the kitchen, which is always a sign of quality. We didn't have to wait long for our food either. The menu is very extensive and it was difficult for us to choose. Murg Narri Shorba soup (no picture) was unfortunately very tasteless. The Malai Botti Murg (chicken grilled in a tandoori on a bed of vegetables) was very well seasoned and mild in taste, the vegetables, which were also grilled, were fresh and crunchy. There was also garlic naan, which was tasty, but not very strong in taste. I had Handi Gohst Laziz (lamb stew with rice). At first the portion seemed small, but I actually couldn't finish it all 😁🙈 It was wonderfully seasoned, pleasantly spicy and the meat was incredibly tender. I left out the coriander. Another mango lassi in the picture 😋 For dessert I treated myself to a Gulab Jamum. I thought it was great, my love found it too sweet. There is also the opportunity to try something at the buffet, which we will definitely try out.

Since my brother-in-law likes Indian food, we were recently invited there to celebrate the day (wedding dinner). Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for the food and the food was postponed. We were a group of 10 people. The chicken was just fine and the lamb was extremely crumbly. It was served on a hot stone, but it was cold on the inside and had a lot of fat and was tough. (Pretty sure TK). The room is carelessly decorated, far from cozy. Even to celebrate the day, nothing was decorated. When we asked about the food whether it was tasty, one person dared to say his opinion politely. There was then zero understanding from the restaurant, the person was rather insulted as to why they had eaten it...it's a shame

This restaurant is becoming more and more of a thorn in my side. Apparently part of the space is currently being rented to a clothing store (or a flea market or whatever). I understand that restaurants have to be creative in times like this, but it's simply not possible for the sidewalk in front of the restaurant to be blocked by clothes racks. There is still a very narrow passage left. It's extremely difficult to get past there and I don't think it's a good escape route. is. The positive first: The food itself (take-out), assessed in isolation, was very good. 3 stars for that. Unfortunately for the rest, zero. Unfortunately, our cozy dinner at home was overshadowed by a sloppy order and grumpy staff who obviously didn't want to deal with the problem, asked for all the information separately and made it clear that they just didn't feel like it has customers. “Customer threatens to order” in its purest form. The prices are astronomically high for the ridiculously small portions, and the rice for the main course is charged separately.

Distributes advertisements for cheap clothes. Unfortunately also in mailboxes with “Please no advertising” stickers.

The ambiance was good, we had the dinner buffet which was ok. I am guessing the ala cart would have been better. The service was good, however was surprised by the cost of water. 8chf for a bottle of still water (800ml)

We ate there again at lunchtime for the buffet, as always, very tasty 😋 for lunch, and 21.5 Fr per person I think it's very worth it, comfortable chair, elegant restaurant, the food is very, very fine, the meat is very tender and juicy, friendly staff, although can't speak perfect German, but we have no problem with that. Again any time. Highly recommended.

Prices are way too high for their mediocre food. Went for dinner, probably prices are better at lunchtime.

Fine Indian/Pakistani food. It is suitable for Muslims because the meat is halal. In addition to the normal menu, they offer an all-you-can-eat buffet, at lunchtime (Mon-Fri) and on weekend evenings (Fri&Sat). There is a special brunch on Saturday lunchtime.
