Sammy's Bar in Saanen

Old World charm and hospitality meets creative fine dining...the service was excellent (by the mother-daughter proprietor team), the view on the terrace was beautiful, and the food! Top notch. With my boyfriend, shared the carrot/mango/coco/ginger cappuccino (starter) and the boletus ravioli and chicken with summer truffles...all were delicious...for dessert, we had baked chocolate ice with some fresh fruit/basil on the side (which was just ok...not my favorite dessert). We also had a good Portuguese red wine...overall, a wonderful place to enjoy a beautiful meal.

Sammy's is a great little gem of a restaurant. We asked what they were known for and our waitress said the "meat". So we ordered the Cotes du boeuf and it was amazing! Local meat and cooked to perfection. Our kids who are vegan loved the tofu and salad bar. Something for everyone.

Accueil sympathique, le service est impeccable et le repas délicieux. Ambiance agréable dans l'hôtel Alpenrose où nous logions.

Situé dans l’hôtel Alpenrose, qui dispose de 2 restaurants, un gastronomique et un grill, nous avons opté pour le grill pour son ambiance décontractée et n’avons pas été déçu. Nous avons pris une fondue chinoise qui est composée de viande de bœuf et de viande de veau vraiment très tendre et succulente. Les sauces sont également succulente et j’ai demandé en plus un peu de sauces béarnaise (délicieuse) qui ne m’a pas été facturée. Nous nous sommes régalés.Les plats de viandes grillées nous faisaient également envie, car elles sont cuites devant vous sur une broche géante qui amène une ambiance chaleureuse dans ce restaurant au cœur des montagnes.Un moment unique que je recommande.

Lokal ist im Keller. Tische sind einfach. Ebenso Gedeck. Service ist locker. Gute Musik. Auswahl der Speisen beschränkt, aber lecker zubereitet. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis Service OK.

Das Essen ist Super der Preis ist gerechtfertigt und der Service lieb und aufmerksam Genau dass was zu der Region passt immer wieder.

Hier wird Gastfreundschaft gross geschrieben. Nicht nur haben wir sehr gut gegessen, sondern wir haben uns mit unseren beiden Kindern auch sehr wohl gefühlt. Herrvorragendes Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis.

Eine köstliche Mahlzeit in Sammy's (traditionelles Fondue für mich, lecker!) gefolgt von Zeit in der Bar zu Live-Musik - sorgt für einen tollen Abend. Schöne Erinnerungen!

Très bonne cuisine locale et service impeccable, nous l'avons essayé et avons apprécié le coté exclusif et romantique de l'endroit.

Le soir nous avons visité le restaurant Sami ou nous avons été très bien accueillis. La nourriture était très bonne et le personnel sympathique et attentif. Si mes souvenirs sont bons le nom du responsable était Martin qui nous a aussi bien renseigné sur la région.

We had a great meal here, there were options from the restaurant upstairs, pasta and pizza options or the chance to have various cuts of meat spit roast against a standing wall of coals which we could not resist. We were celebrating so went for the Chateau Briand, possibly the most expensive steaks I've ever ordered but honestly they were incredible, the chef knew exactly when to take them off the spit and let them rest properly before serving it sizzling on a hot stone plate. Our starters were also great and the wine list is very good, especially if you like nice Bordeaux (there were plenty of cheaper options!).We loved our meal here and would be very happy to return.

Machen Sie nicht den "Sammy's Bar", ein großartiges Ambiente verpassen, gutes Essen, gute Auswahl an Getränken. Die perfekt nach Ski Refugium zu verbringen den Abend mit Freunden oder Geliebten. Martin wird Sie willkommen heißen und teilen sich seine Leidenschaft für diese herrlichen Region und teilen sich ein paar Geheimnisse. Lassen Sie sich nicht als Überraschung kommen auf einige Berühmtheiten dies eines der Ort ist. Ein Ort und ein Besuch wieder.

Auf den ersten Blick sah aus wie ein gemütlicher Ort zum essen. Freundliches Personal, aber das Essen war ungenießbar.Das größte Abzocke.

Wir haben in diesem Restaurant zu Abend gegessen und waren von der Qualität des Essens sowie das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr enttäuscht. Wir haben eine Pizza Margherita und einen Teller Pasta in Olivenöl mit Garnelen bestellt. Die Pizza ist anscheinend im Steinofen zubereitet, schmeckt aber wie eine Fertigpizza, die mit Ketchup bestrichen wurde, überdeckt von einer Handvoll Basilikum. Die Pasta war ok, aber auf dem Teller haben sich gerade mal 3 Garnelen befunden und das für 24,- CHF!!! Der Service war gut, aber zum Essen würden wir nicht wieder hingehen.
