Super cozy restaurant/bar with a playground and mini golf, right next to a pond/campsite. Very centrally located, home-style cuisine with exceptionally friendly service. Thank you very much for the rescue operation of the motorboat today! Fredi, you are the best!

Nice mini golf course with a restaurant located by a pond. Unfortunately, the facility is completely run down, as is the restaurant. Food is tough in terms of price performance. I won't go there anymore, I'll clean the kitchen properly and invest a few francs otherwise I'll see a dark future. I complain about the service because the ladies at the counter just call out the food over the counter in a grumpy and incomprehensible manner all the time and if you don't respond, they'll add a comment at the back. Sorry that doesn't work, I don't know what my neighbor at the front of the queue ordered. Coordinate this better.

I actually found this place by accident, and it was a lucky one. The place is super nice for children with many ferries and toys, and a mini gold with lots of sculpture. My two year old didn't want to leave the place.

Our daughter really liked it here. She would run around the sculptures in front of the restaurant and on the mini-golf course, and try various swings, ladders and carousels. I am sure these objects require some effort to maintain, but they were there for everyone to use. I don't know who owns and runs this place, but it's a really nice gesture from them to setup all of this and just let potential customers to use it. Sure enough, we also are in the restaurant, but it was not expensive. The dining place had a *real* metal stove with burning wood. The place certainly needs renovation, ... but it gives away this interesting nostalgic feeling, that somehow compensates for occasional hole here and there. I recommend everyone to stop by here.

The food was good. Also the ice cream. Very great for families too. Playgrounds, mini golf next door, Robinson playground, pond, many walking paths.

Yesterday we were invited to a mourning meal there in the Weiherstube. The food was fine (ham ham, carrots, potato gratin and beans wrapped in bacon. The gratin and beans tasted really delicious) but could definitely be served warmer/hotter. The tables were set invitingly. The young waiter was very friendly, but I noticed how some guests were immediately talking about the unfriendliness of the lady serving and in two situations I was able to observe how guests were disappointed and not satisfied with their manner of service.

Simply cult. A place where various childhood memories come back. Simply cult, these hamburgers and the other food are simply top. I don't understand these various negative recessions - it's precisely the fact that hardly anything has changed for some time that makes this restaurant what it is!!

This is the second time I've tried a very well-cooked lunch menu here. It was absolutely good and a fair, low price.

Great restaurant right by the water lily pond. Here you can get very fine food, or various gelatos, etc. at a fair price. Also very friendly, helpful staff. On Saturday evening, various live musicians also play here for couples who love dancing. Right next door you can also play mini golf on a very well-maintained and beautiful facility. The whole complex is also very suitable for children's birthday parties, for example. Can only recommend this restaurant and the mini golf course. R. Keller

Ideal place for a meal with friends or family. The two Polish service employees were very friendly and extremely helpful. Schützenhaus is absolutely recommended! Gladly again!

After 3 minutes the two double burgers were ready. Rich and very tasty. The service was super friendly. Price/performance unbeatable. Happy to be a citizen of Schützenhaus again at any time 👌

The “Schützi” is a tried and tested restaurant and every Saturday there is a couples dance in the dance hall with live music and plenty of parking space.

So I like being here and sitting by the pond, I don't think the food is bad, unfortunately there's no boss to direct and there's no one at the checkout, it's a mess. But the ambience is good and good for being in Winterthur.

Like 30 years ago, it's always worth it

The place is beautiful! But you could invest in the restaurant again and not just cash in! It's been the same for at least 30 years. The playground is a complete ruin!!

The restaurant by the pretty pond looks unchanged for more than 40 years and therefore looks quite run down. It's a shame, because it would be very nice there by the pond...

It looks exactly the same as it did 30 years ago when we were kids. The same playground equipment... There's not much left apart from a lot of nostalgia. Many devices are broken (pinball machine...) or in need of renovation. You could get so much out of this playground, you would just have to invest... But since it is always full when the weather is nice, you probably have no interest at all

Really very good hamburgers, large portions for a fair price. As a dessert, I recommend the soft ice cream, which is available in 8 different flavors. I ordered pistachios with Moretti and it was really good! keep it up and see you next time!

The food is tasty and well priced, but nothing special, which is not what you should expect from a "snack" style restaurant. The service is very friendly and even asked for a bowl for the dog. The ambience is a matter of taste, no offense intended, but it looks a little as if Walt Disney had chosen the restaurant :)

It's a great place to enjoy a small lake with fish and ducklings, mini golf and some entertainment around nature. It's worth visiting .

Ordering food in the self-service, took about 20 minutes, 1 sausage and crispy fish with fries. So you have to be there very early or you should hire learned staff and not unlearned people who have no idea. Otherwise, the Stützenhaus is always a very good excursion destination.

The Schützenhaus is a time cable. Everything still looks the same as it did 40 years ago when I visited there as a teenager. Even the music playing is still the top hits of the 80s. The hamburgers are still great and distorting them brings back fond memories of the good old days. The place, although so close to the city, invites you to relax and linger.

Good food at reasonable prices, the staff is sometimes not very attentive, but still nice and the service works.

Very nostalgic restaurant. I've been going to this one since I was born, my sisters before me. It's not innovative, but that's the beauty of it. Schützi is schützi, it's part of our life!

The brunch in the Schützenhaus restaurant was fine with a classic Swiss selection. However, the restaurant could use a renovation as it seems a bit dated. Overall it was an okay experience.

This restaurant is in dire need of an overhaul. With its outdated condition in every respect, it gives off an unhygienic and dilapidated impression. This restaurant is definitely still running purely because of its geographical location.

Once again very good. Highly recommended for brunch. Price / offer: Very good. We will be back definitely.

Nice place to eat and relax, the food is very good and the quality is appropriate for the price. The waitress asks a few times what you want. Maybe it's because they want to do it without errors, but otherwise all the employees are very friendly. For me they are the best burgers in Winterthur.

Wow, thank you for the great service last night 😀 Even though it had actually been closed for 5 minutes, they made 2 more burgers for me 🍔 “no problem, just come” and this was so friendly and obvious, which it isn't, I was really happy. Thank you very much to the nice gentleman at the grill 😀 I would love to come back, next time earlier 😉

Unfortunately only one star... the worst chicken nuggets I've ever eaten (rubbery shaped meat), the bratwurst and fries were ok, burgers without salad with simple ketchup were very uncreative.

Actually a very nice place with the idyllic pond. But now this comes... Toilets dirty, staff very unfriendly, food not really tasty, playground some safety-related deficiencies… It's really a shame that such a beautiful destination has been allowed to wither like this😢.

Beautiful surroundings (pond). Playground is not possible at all! So outdated that it is sometimes dangerous, apart from the enormous squeaking noise when used! A lot of the vehicles and slot machines have been broken for years. Viennese iced coffee is awesome. Restaurant and terrace are dingy. The mini golf course is old and cracked, but playable and beautifully decorated for kids.

They have very good hamburgers there, I can only recommend them. The location is by a pond, very beautiful there. I really like it there.

Went to Sääli for a private occasion, the plates for the children were so hot that we burned our fingers, the food was good, the staff was friendly. You could simply do more with this place, it has looked the same for x years.

The reason for the one star is the lack of hygiene. This leaves a lot to be desired here. The restaurant only gets a second star because the burger is one of the best in the city. If you want to eat a very tasty burger, you've come to the right place, but ignore the poor conditions.

The New Year's Eve menu was great, rich and good. It was beautifully decorated, only the ancient and dingy lamps spoiled the overall impression. A renewal is recommended.

Always great here, I grew up in Winti and have known Schützi since I was a child... every time I'm there it reminds me... it's great that there's still something like that... praising the best burgers like before ... I hope for more years...

Yes, I can only agree with others, it's a really nice place, the food is great, the facilities for children are great, the staff is great too, but the toilet facilities stink, if you want to eat something in the restaurant room, you'll unfortunately lose your appetite because you're sitting there Constantly opening the hall door and inhaling the smell of the toilet facility again and again...it's a shame, it's a shame

I lived at the campsite next door for a good year and during this time I often ate in the Schützenhaus restaurant. The burger doesn't get any better. The atmosphere - very unusual but cool.. lots of unique sweets and decorations.. There is also a hall to play games In the summer there is plenty of space to eat outside :) I always go by when I'm nearby.

I've been eating here almost regularly for many years. I can give the food a good 4+ stars. Why do I only give 2 stars? If someone has already earned so much money in such a great location for X...... years, they should also make a larger investment in certain renovations. For example in the toilet facilities........

Perfect place for showing to your offspring what it was like being a Swiss kid in the 80’s. Beats any hipster-curated retro 80’s BS with authenticity as it probably hasn’t been renovated since for a decade or three… Good value (simple) food and beverages.

Paradisiacal beer garden located directly on the pond on the outskirts of Winti! Very friendly staff, excellent food (I had fish crispy with homemade tartar sauce and chips and a softice for dessert). Everything is very clean and well maintained and prepared with great attention to detail. Casual with children thanks to lots of play equipment and mini golf next door.

The much praised burgers are just industrial patties, the bun is ok, the lettuce and onions are coarsely chopped, and mayonnaise is only available in a bag that has been opened with your teeth. It tasted like old fat and there were enough roasted aromas. Brought back again, the young man didn't understand my problem, burger looked good! Took in then went back for Ghackets with Horndli. Well man could eat it. The sauce was simply poured on without first stirring the pan, the edge of the pan was full to the top, any trained chef would pay more attention to it. The vegetables were already on x plate beforehand. The volume of the music is just right for people with hearing impairments. The average age of the staff is around 21, which is also noticeable in the quality. The best thing at the end is that it wasn't just a joke. Menusalt is large and elegant, the benches outside are clean.

The same location for what feels like 45 years. Including machines, playground, tables and benches, bumper cars. The food looks like it did back then and tastes the same. If you like eating, like back then, surrounded by smokers and overflowing ashtrays, you're in good hands here as a full-blooded nostalgic. For everyone else, it's just a traumatic experience.

I'm allergic to cheese and the hamburgers are twisted with the same tongs as the cheese ones. I expect a clear separation here. Otherwise very friendly staff and a great place to have a bite to eat.

Disgusting, dingy, dirty and unfriendly. I'm disgusted! Deep fryers look horrible, drinks are never chilled. Staff unfriendly and unhygienic. Assortment more than overpriced for what you get!

A location that seems very run down with no real concept. A renovation would definitely be necessary. Unfortunately the staff wasn't really friendly. It's a shame because the place next to the pond is very idyllic and beautiful. You could definitely expect and get more out of this. I can't rate the food because I was only there for coffee.
