Seebad in Richterswil

Since the renovation, the pool has been very nice. The food is also good and local. Unfortunately, the prices are so high that it's more likely you won't buy anything to eat than already. It's a shame actually. Otherwise great.

Food and ambience is top. The location by the lake combined with the simple but very good food always results in a successful evening. We deducted the star because the staff often doesn't work particularly professionally and the waiting times are too long when there is a lot of traffic.

Nice spot if you want to enjoy a yummy fondue in a cozy environment 🫕❄️ Make sure you book with enough time in advance as their “Fonduezelt” is only available for a month (24.11-23.12). You’ll see how seriously these guys take Xmas decoration hohoho 🎄🎅🏽

Beautiful seaside resort with well-kept facilities and sanitary areas with cabins, showers, etc. Picnic tables available, but also a restaurant with snacks at Zurich prices (4 chicken nuggets 7.-) The platform in the lake is clean and invites you to sunbathe

We went to Badi for lunch. You don't have to pay entry if you just want to eat. The service was very good and attentive (there weren't very many guests there). Food came very quickly and it was delicious too. Still nothing out of the ordinary. Unfortunately the vegi burger was not available. The beef and chicken skewers were well seasoned. The avocado with the vegetable vinaigrette is delicious and the falafel is not dry. Even though the ambience is fantastic, I think the prices are very high. A chicken skewer with sweet potato and sour cream (unfortunately not lactose-free) plus water for just under CHF 35 is a proud price.

Refurbished in a stylish way, very nice setting and very good food. This is not (and is not meant to be) a simple Badi food court, also from a price perspective. Really happy that here is a nice slightly upscale place at the lake in Richterswil at last. Try the fish of the day or the hand-cut tatar.

Seaside resort great for everyone. Playground by the water for children. Large lawn. Next to a self-service snack bar or restaurant with a view of Lake Zurich. Food delicious. Prices in Switzerland. Great day again and again.

Nice ,quiet relaxing. Even though there were kids it was good. Food was fine, they have some good wines too . There are WCs, showers and a changing room. Such a pity is rather far away from Zurich

The food was very good, but a bit expensive, I think. The service, in my opinion, was inadequate (if you ask for something extra it is forgotten, plates are not cleared, etc.). The ambience, nice, but loud and hectic due to the swimming pool business next door. Not very child friendly…

Unfortunately, the only thing that is good here is the view of the lake and the restaurant operator can't do anything about that. Most of the staff speak neither German nor English, are unfriendly and untrained. There is no waiting list for a place in the serviced part, you just have to stand there and wait until something becomes available. This was told to us by the staff in a blunt and rude manner. The prices are outrageous and unjustified. The buffet is not replenished and doesn't look very appetizing. The food would be okay, but by the time you even get to that point, you've already grown tired of it. It's a shame, because the pool itself is great!

The pool is beautiful, there is absolutely nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, the restaurant is completely overpriced and the food is good, but there are often long waiting times. Marco is great and super accommodating. At the self-service counter, you pay €1 for a single gummy bear - crazy. Intended for families in a swimming pool, but unfortunately not made for families... because the food is simply far too expensive.

Yesterday we were able to celebrate a birthday there with 6 people. The food was very good and the service was attentive. I was able to order a lactose-free dessert in advance! This was great and my mother was happy! Thank you for the flexibility! We would love to come back...

Thanks to Peclard we have City of Zurich prices. An espresso and a latte macchiato 12 francs! We then wanted to buy ice cream take away because 6.90 for an ice cream potli was too expensive for us. The ice cream freezer smelled like frying oil, so we didn't feel like eating ice cream anymore and went home.

The location is great. Sunny day, dinner there and the lake just nearby. We had the chicken a discretion, which is really delicious. However, the service was really not good. Multiple times they want to bring something we didn't order or brought something different. This can happen once and probably the staff was new, but it should get better. But staff was friendly and apologized for it. Other than that it's always worth a visit.

The restaurant has lost its appeal. Bland food, fried too greasy, the atmosphere is uninviting - no comparison to the previous tenant. The staff is nice but not professional. It's unclear who the target audience should be here - the price-performance ratio isn't right at all, typical Peclard. All that remains is the beautiful backdrop.

Today, 2 years after the 5 stars from back then: large tartare = 120 grams, small would be 70g. Ridiculous or outrageous.

Wonderful place to go with your family.

Unfortunately my experience was a very bad one. My husband and I wanted fish crispy. We ordered these and after 50 minutes we still had nothing. In the meantime, other tables that came after us have been served (including fish crispy). We asked and the waiter said: "Yes, there is a puff in the kitchen, I'm sorry. I can't do anything". That was enough for us. We paid for the drinks and left. Yes, the scenery is fantastic, but that's it...

The Peclard principle: location great, food passable, service catastrophic. A shame about the beautiful place. Instead of whitefish I suspect roach...

Location is great. Lovely view and a chance for your kids to play around as well. The vibe of the location is a bit like 'Seebadi+'; but not everything matches that. E.g. the tables are wobbly and very close to each other. But the main point for me writing today: between 2022 and 2023 the prices went up and the portion size went down. In 2022 it was expensive for a Seebadi-Restaurant, but now it became over the top. Example: 28.50 for calamari is the most I have paid in my life for calami; but the portion size was probably the smallest I have ever gotten: about 12 battered rings. I honestly thought we got the small portion; I even asked. The fishknusperli same story: not a lot of fish and underwhelming in taste: also 29.50. We are talking easy fried food. Anyway, enough complaining. My family and the in-laws went often in 2022, once in 2023; but it left a bitter taste.

Real waste of the great lakeside location. Unfriendly service where you have to wait for 1 hour to be served with one drink. Waiter seem to ignore you. Menu is way too simple for a such exaggerated pricing. No entertainment program at all. You could definitely make much more out of such location.

After over 1 hour. While we were waiting, we asked the service staff about our order. The answer was very dismissive and extremely disrespectful! When we asked him directly about his disrespectful manner of communication, he at least apologized and at the same time complained about his 15-hour shifts. Sorry, we don't support that. Families are discriminated against We visited the Badi today and wanted to have lunch as a medium-sized group with 2 children. Since our children are still quite small and rarely like to eat the food offered (1.5 and 2), we take a lunch box with us to every restaurant for them. It hasn't been a problem anywhere so far. Today we had to leave our table because of this, we were exposed in front of the rest of the customers and treated as inferior. We were informed that we would no longer be served. In a family-friendly place like this Badi, something like this is absolutely unacceptable. We have reported this to the management of the seaside resort and hope that consequences will be taken. It's a shame, we wanted to celebrate August 1st with a bottle of champagne, but unfortunately we chose the wrong place. Note: There were hardly any guests in the pool today, but there was simply no need for it.

Mr. Peclard, you are ashamed! Children are not welcome here at all. Food brought for babies may not be consumed here. Today we were kindly but firmly asked to leave the restaurant straight away. We have never experienced anything like this in any restaurant. We really enjoy going to Peclard. But something like that doesn't work at all.

I must say the food was quite delicious! We loved it, it is a bit pricey, but I would say average for Zurich. The service was friendly and super helpful. The location is beautiful, just beside the lake. The atmosphere around was for family and children. And you could come and enjoy the whole day at the badi, in the sun and at the lake.

Unfortunately, the quality of the food for bathers is still just as poor and overpriced as it was last year. The ice cream selection is also very limited, and there is no information board about which types are offered. It's a real shame that you can't combine a stay at the beach with enjoyment. Unfortunately, today there were also some napkins with the Seebadi logo and packaging for refreshing towels floating around in the children's swimming area. This spoils the bathing experience. Please take care of nature!

Very overpriced food & drinks, bad management of the restaurant and the buffet, long queues for everything, very few employees for the demand & for sure the badi has seen better days!

Visiting a restaurant to get seats without a reservation was quite an adventure! Service was not an expert, we always served the “better ones” first, even though we were still thirsty. The food was good, but the prices were exorbitant, the Wienerschnitzel included fries, which cost extra. When we asked for the invoice receipt, we complained that it would take at least 5 minutes because he just didn't feel like it! On the split bill we saw that he had billed incorrectly! Conclusion: it would be a great restaurant if you treated everyone the same and hired experts to get the results!

The staff is, to say the least, completely overwhelmed. We tried calling all day to get a table. When we got there, they said there was no time to answer phone calls. The manners of the staff also leave a lot to be desired. It's better to go to the Pizzeria Gartenhof across the street. You will be greeted warmly and served with hearty food

The location and the concept for the Badi are great - 5 stars for that. However, the fish crispies are unfortunately bone dry - even after 3 different tests. The fish - almost certainly frozen and fried in old oil. The color is too dark, the taste is a disaster. @Dear Mr. Péclard: I told the waiter to tell the chef that he was going to the island of Ufenau to get inspiration. Fresh fish of the day - great! Now the shock: Michel Péclard will take over Ufenau Gastronomy from next season. I hope, Mr. Péclard, that you do not switch to your cost-optimized concept. I'm dreading it!

Very nice facility, unfortunately it used to be a family home, less chic... The restaurant has very nice staff, but the manager still has a lot to learn...the price/performance ratio for the food should be reconsidered.

It's a shame... I've rarely experienced such bad service. We arrived in the afternoon and were greeted. There weren't too many tables occupied and we were allowed to choose a table ourselves (directly by the lake). After waiting for 15 minutes, one of the three employees present made it to our table to ask for drinks. Until then we were ignored, forgotten or leaning on the counter was probably more important. Motivated staff clearly looks different and I have experienced it completely differently in other Peclard companies. The only plus point this afternoon - the food was delicious.

Price a no go once and never again

Wäre die Lage nicht so wunderschön, gäbe es keinen Grund in der Seebadi essen zu gehen. Wir hatten um 18:00 einen Tisch reserviert. Erst eine gute halbe Stunde später konnten wir eine Bestellung aufgeben, wobei von den Vorspeisen zwei bereits ausverkauft waren. Die Vorspeise traf ein, bevor die Getränke da waren usw. Kurz gesagt, es war für die Anzahl Gäste viel zu wenig Personal im Sevice, was natürlich gut für die Kasse des Pächters ist, aber ärgerlich für die Gäste. Am enttäuschendsten fanden wir allerdings, dass es nur eine vegetarische Hauptspeise auf der Karte hat: eine Gemüsequiche mit Salat. Das ist im Jahr 2021 absolut unzeitgemäss und altmodisch.

preis leistung stimmt überhaupt nicht auf der fleischplatte war mehr gemüse als fleisch für 38.- fondue brot alt und hart kartoffeln kalt und schnitzel knorplig... 1 mal nie wieder

Nun, wir waren im Zelt zum Fondueplausch mit den Kids wie letztes Jahr im Mönchhof. Nur dass das Zelt im Mönchhof beheizt war, aber in Richterswil direkt an der Blache waren wir nach bereits 10 Minuten schon ziemlich durchgekühlt. Obwohl erst 3 Tische belegt waren als wir ankamen, wollte uns das Fräulein keinen anderen Tisch geben. Die Rechnung stimmte leider auch nicht und sowohl das Wienerschnitzel als auch die Felchenknusperli von den Kindern waren CHF 2.- teurer als auf der Karte. Leider habe ich dies erst zuhause bemerkt. Falls das Fräulein dies mit System macht und jedem Gast hier und da einige Zusatzfranken abnimmt, kommt sie auch ohne reguläres Trinkgeld auf ein schönes Sümmchen ende Monat. Das Essen war aber ansonsten ganz ok, feines Fondue und den Kids haben das Schnitzel und die Felchen auch geschmeckt. Leider bleibt der Nachgeschmack der unflexiblen Art der Bedienung!

Oh well. You can definitely eat a fries there. But the salad is no revelation. We were in the self-service area. I ordered fish crispy. My uncle veal bratwurst with Bürli. After 20 minutes the pager buzzed and I picked up the food. At first I thought: "Who ate from my plate?" But no, there were actually only four little crunchies with a tiny pot of tartar sauce on my plate. Very disappointing for 4 p.m. francs. The veal sausage was okay. The Bürli was very small. A miniature version of the Bürli in the Mönchhof (belongs together) So we definitely won't eat there again. Even the view can't make up for it.

Meine Erwartungen an das Seebad Richterswil mit dem neuen Betreiber Michel Péclard waren gross, schliesslich hat dieser stadtbekannte Gastronom einen wirklich guten Namen. Die letztjährigen Betreiber wurden nach nur einem Jahr des Einsatzes ersetzt, obwohl die Gäste im Grossen und Ganzen zufrieden gewesen waren. Entsprechend gross war die Erwartungshaltung, wenn auch nur an das Free Flow Restaurant.Was soll ich sagen? Meines Erachtens klappt hier nun gar nichts mehr. Die leckere Speisekarte wurde durch den Badi-Einheitsbrei aus Kalbsbratwurst mit Bürli, Chicken Nuggets und Flammkuchen ersetzt und dementsprechend verkleinert. Man mag annehmen, dass der Ablauf vereinfacht würde, wenn nur noch 10 Gerichte auf der Karte stehen. Den Hamburger für CHF 8.50 (!) wollte ich mit einer Scheibe Käse aufpeppen lassen. Die Erklärung, warum man dies nicht mache, war sehr einfach: man habe kein gelerntes Personal in der Küche und die würden bei einem Sonderwunsch aus dem Konzept gerissen werden, was den Ablauf komplett durcheinander bringt. Aha. Der nun ohne Käse bestellte Hamburger bestand dann aus einem Convenience-Paddie mit Ketchup auf einem Brioche. Keine Zwiebeln, kein Gürkchen, kein Salat oder ähnliches, einfach ein Fleischklops im Brot. Dafür war der Flammkuchen fur CHF 10.50 kalt, wenigstens haben wir uns hierbei den Mund nicht verbrannt.Wenn das Konzept, vor allem jedoch die vielen jungen und am Gast ungeschulten Mitarbeiter bleiben, war es für mich das erste und das letzte Mal im Seebad und guten Gewissens empfehlen kann ich den Laden leider auch nicht.
