Great kitchen and great service. Highly Recommended. Unfortunately, 1 hour after the fine meal, everything came out again up and down. The enjoyment visually and on the palate was brilliant.

We were able to attend a wonderful wedding at this fantastic location on Lake Lucerne. The food was absolutely top class and the service was very accommodating. Prices are rather high.

Perfect, under every aspect! The wines were superb, the plates delicious and innovative, the service excellent.

Not cheap, but a great experience. Full recommendation for anyone looking for a special kind of taste experience! (This is the first and only time so far that I give all stars!👍)

We had one of the most wonderful dining experiences we have ever had here. The food was impeccable, the service was friendly and accommodating, and the dock was absolutely charming. It's a really unique place The dock is a great option for calm weather, but the restaurant has great views of the lake indoors as well.

Food and ambience were top. There are drawbacks in the not so professional service and the wine accompaniment, which worked against the wonderful flavors of the food or covered them up too much.

If you want to forget the world for a while and just enjoy the good things in life - you should definitely come to Sens. The awesome food, the relaxed atmosphere and exceptional service will leave you happy and content. It's The Best in Switzerland!They also welcomed our 3 yrs. old daughter like before and made sure that she is having a lovely time as well. The staff was very accommodating of our request esp when she asked for her desert earlier than expected. They delivered it with a big smile. You will be very surprised how different ingredients which are not usually combined can leave your palet craving for more. The wine pairings are also spot on. I like that they use the best local produce around Switzerland and have their own herb garden beside the restaurant. Chef Achtien's book will also make you appreciate this restaurant more. Thank you Sens for another magical meal.

We spent an unforgettable 6 course dinner at the Sens, starting with amuse bouches and champagne on the terrace, accompanied by an Ibiza like sun set. The 6 courses were heavenly and very inventive, daring, contemporary without being too much. The team with Alex, Sue, Luca, Alice, Germ and Robbert were extremely friendly, multi-lingual and caring. An exceptional experience which makes you travel the whole world without leaving your table. No stiffness at all, on the contrary a cool and open minded attitude which is rare in places of this kind. We will be back !!!

Par contre, heureusement qu’on nous a servi beaucoup de pain sinon nous aurions eu encore faim en sortant de table. Les portions sont minuscules et la seule pièce de viande servie, du boeuf wagyu, de piètre qualité et sans aucun intérêt, devait bien mesurer 1cm sur 3. Ok c’est du gastro mais quand-même... avec une ardoise de plus de 500.- pour deux, on s’attend quand-même a avoir quelque chose dans l’assiette. Nous avions explicitement demandé un repas sans fruits de mer et on nous a servi... des huîtres. Le vin est très cher, rien en dessous de 95 balles la bouteille. Enfin, le plus désagréable dans ce repas a été le service, d’une lenteur incroyable! Plus de quatre heures pour nous servir 6 plats. C’était interminable.

We first visited this restaurant after the spring lockdown. We have low expectations when we eat in Swiss restaurants as we usually get disappointed. After visiting Asian street food stalls we steered away from fine dining restaurants. Restaurant Sens brought back our joy and enthusiasm in fine dining. It reminded us why the joy of restaurant experiences. From the moment we stepped in, we were ushered into this beautiful terrace right beside the lake where we were served with our apero. Executive Chef Achtien himself prepared his own Caesar Salad creation. From there wonderful appetizers were served. At that point we knew that we were in for a magical evening. The food were just the right portions and beautifully and thoughtfully plated - reminded us of one of our meals in Japan. The produce they use are of highest quality, they have an herb garden outside and from the window you can see the kitchen staff picking herbs and garnishes. The food engages all your senses - sight, smell and most importantly the taste. The food taste and feel good in the mouth. You can taste Chef Achtien's creativity in every course. What is impressive is how he can combine meat and seafood on one plate and how a curry ice cream with celery or a yuzu youghurt with wasabi taste heavenly. How these desserts prepares you to transition from the savory to the sweets. Everything taste good from the sourdough bread with browned butter to the very last dessert. The wine pairing was very well-thought of as well and brought out the best flavors in the food. It is also good that they use fresh local produce. We stayed in the Vitznauerhof and booked a table in this restaurant long in advance.They offer a surprise menu and we chose a 6 course menu. The presentation and the dishes was at its best. Needless to say that the chef is very creative. Have you ever proved an ice-cream made of a potato? A mix of different lamb variations? The evening succeeded and the the restaurant is worth attending once more.

Aber war sicher nicht das letzte mal das wir dort waren.

We booked there to celebrate and it was really great! The view is breathtaking, the food is delicious and the service staff really nice. One thing we really appreciated is to have the chef himself bringing two of the courses and explained them. The staff is young and the restaurant is small so it gives a very good atmosphere (less stiff than other Michelin restaurants).We really enjoyed and recommend the place.

We have been to many fine dining restaurants, including 1, 2 and 3 star Michelin restaurants. These are usually amazing on food & service, but room decoration & location aren't usually amazing. We've also been to a lot of restaurants with amazing locations and decoration and they're often overpriced, with food and service that are below par.This restaurant has it all. The food is Michelin star worthy. Not only are the tastes great, but there is more creativity in each course than we've seen in a long time, including in the way it is assembled at your table. The service is well paced, and extreremely friendly (perhaps not Michelin star quality, but sill very good). And the location is stunning, literrally on the lake, with views of the mountains and cliffs from Rigi.If you can (and assuming the weather is nice), get one of the few tables on the pier - it is a unique experience and view. If you have time and can afford it, go for the 8 course menu - the more the merrier (and the portions are really small so you don't feel full midway). We also took the wine pairings and thought that the wines were all quite interesting and really well paired.Regarding food, we would agree that sometimes creativity came at the detriment of taste (a tiny bit - it was still very good), but, hey, we really enjoyed the creativity.This right now is for us the best restaurant we've ever been to.The price was quite reasonable given the above. In fact, we were two and when they noticed that we were not finishing our glasses of wine, they spontaneously offered to only serve half the quantity and only charged us for 1 set of (8) wines, instead of 2. Unbelievable (and, so, you should know this is an option).

Die Lage mit Außenflächen ist wunderbar. Wir saßen aber Innen und bereits nach kurzer Zeit bei vollem Restaurant wurde es stickig (Investment in AC ist empfehlenswert). Aber die Kernkompetenz eines Restaurants besteht aus Essen+Trinken. Hier zeigt das SENS wirklich auch innovative Ideen (z.B. Abschlusseis passend zu den am Anfang ausgewählten Gewürzen). Auch die Feinheit der handwerklichen Arbeiten und die Vielfalt an Farben und Geschacksnuancen macht Spaß. Leider macht vieles gar keinen Spaß. Die Küche ist extrem schwer und fett-lastig. Fleischfetischisten werden sich bespw. über Eis mit Dry-Aged-Fett Geschmack freuen. Diese Fett-Lust geht leider auf den Geschmack der anderen Produkte. Üblicherweise servieren auch hier die verantwortlichen KöchInnen, was sie auch freundlich und souverän erledigen. Völlig inakzeptabel ist aber das Durcheinander beim Service, was nicht zum eigenen Anspruch des SENS passt. Die Damen dort sind zwar alle sehr freundlich, aber unkoordiniert. Weinkenntnisse fehlen. Alle wollen Wein und Wasser ständig unabgestimmt nachschenken. Leere Gläser werden sehr lange ignoriert. Bereits kurz nachdem das Brot mit spannender Beilage zum Vorab-Naschen auf dem Tisch kam, wurde bereits der nächste Gang unsanft vor uns drappiert. Fazit: Die Küche ist interessant und lecker, aber die Fettlust ist nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Die Mängel im Service ruinieren den Besuch eines Restaurants mit diesem Anspruch.

Wir waren am 8.August im Sens und haben unseren Abend in vollen Zügen genossen. Ich habe das 8 Gänge Surprize Menu bestellt und meine Freundin das 6 Gänge Surprize Menu (vegane Variante, im Voraus angemeldet) wir waren beide von der Qualität der Speisen begeistert! Nur schon die diversen "Grüsse aus der Küche" sind einen Besuch wert! Einfach nur köstlich. Ein grosses Lob an das ganze Sens Team! Wir konnten einene perfekten Abend bei euch geniessen! Macht weiter so!

The service was attentive and friendly, but they did not manage to serve "Chickenwings from the Green Egg" hot.The accompanying rice was also almost cold. The soup was fine and the desert was a superb blend of ice-cream, pineapple and nuts. Any average Chinese restaurant serves food on a rechaud (heating plate) and especially chicken wings and rice they always manage to serve hot. I think this would be a valuable investment for a restaurant with these superb qualities and location (and prices). But we might give it a second chance, if the Season is long enough.

Cuisine très élaborée, une utilisation des techniques françaises conjuguée avec des goûts de World Food. Bref, une très belle soirée, le seul bémol étant une lenteur exagérée du service (ou peut-être plutôt de la cuisine en amont), surtout au début (et pourtant, je n'aime pas quand ça galope, ce qui vous indique que c'était vraiment très lent !).

Ce restaurant est à couper le souffle sous tous ses aspects. Cadre, cuisine, personnel, tout tout!!Des assemblages culinaires inédits, le montage du plat sous vos yeux, des surprises étonnantes... je n’en dévoilerai pas plus... Jeder Gang für sich ein Gedicht. Top angerichtet! Hier stimmt einfach alles.Kommen gerne wieder.

Wir haben jeden Moment genossen. Vorspeisen und Getränke auf der Terrasse, während die Sonne über dem See unterging, einfach herrlich. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam, vollkommen in Ordnung und wir fühlten uns entspannt und willkommen. Die Kurse waren sehr lecker und wir haben die kleinen Überraschungen dazwischen geliebt. Es war der perfekte Ort für unseren besonderen Geburtstag.
