Really we have loved the taste of the food. Worth for every bite and money. Thanks restaurant Shiva for serving delicious food.

Lovely home cooked feeling. Tasty food and happy to substitute for dietary requirements. Cheap (by Geneva standards) and big portions. The chilli sauce was really spicy!

Had veg thali, fish thali, and piddu for dinner. The taste was good, and the thalis were unlimited.

4.6/5 pretty good Indian food. I'm not sure about this place being truly sri lanken, but for sure it's some sort of Indian food maybe with some sri lanken stuff mixed in. But the food was really good and made fresh. The quality of the meat was superb too. I had the chicken thali for I think 18 francs. Would recommend!

Amazing South Asian dishes and a good host. When everything is blant this is the place to go to revive the spices and flavor. Loved the Masala Dosa and the Vegetable Thali. The Fish Thali and Chicken Thali were equally good and filling after a long day.

It was an authentic south Indian/sri lankan cuisine experience. The Dosa was jumbo, I mean really jumbo, aptly filling for one person. The prices are reasonable if we compare it with the quantity being served. All in all, a good restaurant.

Had the special Dosa. Crispy, filling and tasted great. Prices are reasonable. The cheese filling was sumptuous but it was a bit too oily on the outside. I had to wait quite a bit for the Dosa to be prepared but it tasted fresh. Maybe they could try replacing the white raita base with white coconut chutney as is standard with Dosa and increase the potato filling/stuffing a bit more.

Srilankai/South Indian food is genuinely close to authentic. Samosa can be skipped.

The food was ok, however waiting time was extreme and we had to remind the waitress what we had ordered. Control the receipt!!! At home I discovered one more dish for 17 CHF I had not ordered! But living in Basel I doubt I visit the Shiva again…

Great restaurant! South Indian/Sri Lankan cuisine. Very welcoming and pleasant lady. We regularly ask if we want a little more accompaniment, samosas offered as a starter. And above all the same taste that I experienced in South India and that you almost never find among Pakistanis/Indians in Europe. Not to mention the reasonable price... Also good for vegetarians like me. I advise.

We visited this restaurant for lunch and had selected this place as this is the only restaurant in geneva that serves dosa s. The restaurant is located in a side street of the area les grottes, and has indoor seating of some 10 tables and also some outdoor tables next to the road. Its decoration is simple and functional. We ordered a masala dosa and a vegetarian thali. We had to wait a while before the food was served. The dosa was nice fresh, large and not to crunchy. The potato stuffing however we were not too impressed about. It lacked salt, spices and we had the impression it was not freshly prepared that day. The vegetarian thali was small, as there were only a couple of subji s. The dhal, spinach and patato subji were tasting well. However we did not like the beans and their sauce. When finishing the thali a refill was offered of the rice and dhal.

I visited this restaurant recently with a friend after the lockdown. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to have traditional, clean and tasty food. We had the masala dosa and the ghee dosa, which was remarkably cooked. The lady was extremely sweet, and had an amazing conversation with her. It is indeed time to save small businesses, highly recommend this place.
