Spaghetti Store in Lugano

Our pizzas and spaghetti are excellent, the staff is quick and friendly, the location is beautiful by the lake and very convenient in the centre.

I'll start by saying that the place is very nice and welcoming, the staff welcomes you really well, you feel at home, the food is excellent and of very good quality, the staff are very professional and friendly, I hope to return when I return to Lugano!!

Be careful, we were a group of 20 people The staff offered to “fix” them with tasting dishes. In the end the pasta was not good. Even at home I make them better! And we paid low prices. They scammed us 😡

How to say: very very disappointed! Not great food, very rushed service. Offer from the staff to let us taste their dishes. It's definitely not worth it! And we pay the price 60.- for pasta it’s a scam!!!!

What a gem! Visited here during our short stay in Lugano and stopped here for dinner. Great view of the water and mountains, cute outdoor seating and a nice selection of pasta. We ordered the house special spaghetti which was excellent and flavorful, pasta texture cooked to perfection and sauce was complex and not overwhelming. Tiramisu and Cannolo were also fantastic. Service was prompt and very friendly. Our waitress saw that we liked the candied nuts and surprised us a whole bag full after we were done! What a great experience, highly recommend to anyone staying in the area 🩷

Good pasta is difficult to find, and unfortunately this place was pretty average. When I go to the restaurant, I expect to eat something better than what I would make at home. Service was very fast and friendly.

The one service girl that is working tonight (23.02.24) is so unfriendly that she immediately killed our good vibes. Eyes rolling, unfriendly and not welcoming at all. The other service people were friendly but this review is specific about this one girl. The food was okey so far.. we have ordered in pressure because this girl was stressed about us not knowing what we want to order. Everything is so good. The price is good, the food was delicious, the waiter was nice and friendly. The seafood pasta was fresh and good tasting. The margarita pizza is the best dish in Switzerland: hot, with good, fresh ingredients. If we have chance to go back to Lugano, we would like to visit this place again.

Not fresh pasta (which is shocking given this restaurant's name). I ordered the carbonara which the menu lists as containing cream. Carbonara does not contain cream so this shouldn't have even been called carbonara. Was very bland and tasted only of cream. My partner got the seafood pasta which was equally bland and didn't taste of seafood. Staff were lovely and attentive but food is poor. Won't return and wouldn't recommend.

Excellent Neapolitan pizza! Spaghetti alla matriciana too! As for the Babamisu, according to my boyfriend who is a fan of tiramisu, they could have avoided it 🤣 but the one I had, I don't remember what it was called, visible in the photo, was very good!

OLD REVIEW: Great food and service but very noisy at times. UPDATE: I had to update my review because I must been extremely lucky the first time I stopped here with my wife. I came here three more times and sadly the quality of the service and the food just crashed .... but putting on a side the quality of the service, the quality of other dishes I tried over time and that the bread provided as a side wasn't fresh (was at least 1 day old if not more) ... microwaving an octopus is just SHAMEFUL, no matter the reason, but if it's even sold for more than 30CHF ... it's just insane. Honestly both me and my wife left the octopus there and I ended up ordering something else via divoora once arrived at home. The pasta might be ok but as restaurant if you are not capable of cooking certain menu items you should just take them off the menu'.

The food is not the best, the service is bad, their behavior is very bad, the waiter is annoying, and they are confused and do not ask for any order for the table in Arabic, and the prices are high.

This is my personal experience after travelling around the world. An usual swiss customer care behavior. You walk in to a shop/restaurant/or any place whatsoever, the typical customer care would welcome you as if you asked for a big favour from them. However, I have seen 2-4% exception in the french region of switzerland.

First time there. Food was excellent with large portions. I had the personal pizza and my wife had eggplant pasta. We finished it off with tiramisu for dessert. If ever in Lugano, Switzerland, try this restaurant.

We ordered two dishes: a Margherita pizza and carbonara spaghetti without bacon, along with a cola. Unfortunately, we had a negative experience as we felt discriminated against due to not being from Italy or Switzerland. It was only when we returned to our hotel and translated the invoice that we realized we had been overcharged. This poor service left us feeling like our money had been unfairly taken. We cannot recommend this place. 85 euro is too much !

I have known and frequented this place for several years, let's say about 2-3 times a year and not only in summer but also in other seasons. I have always felt good (both myself and those who accompanied me) regarding the food (quantity and quality). I often enjoy vodka and salmon bark (but also other things) On my last visit, however, I had the impression that something had changed (particularly in the dishes), to the point that I asked the waiter who served us if the management had changed. After his response, in which he confirmed that nothing had changed since my last visit (which took place about 3-4 months ago), he asked me why I had asked this question. After explaining to him that the quantity of my dish (wodka bark and salmon) was at least half of what I had obtained in the past and therefore decidedly insufficient, the waiter - without apologizing - limited himself to telling me (even hinting at a certain grin) that he actually recognized that the quantity was insufficient and that the cook had probably been light-hearted. After I replied that the chef's hand had been very, very light, he left. I (as a good "gullible") had thought that he had gone into the kitchen to report the matter, but above all to remedy it in some way (at least a refresher). Instead, I unfortunately had to reconfirm to myself that I had been gullible. If I were a restaurateur and assuming for any reason that I couldn't do a "review" of the dish, I would at least do the courtesy of offering a digestive/coffee to the customer. In short, a small gesture. Oh yeah, by the way: obviously the price paid was still the "full" price. Last but not least the food on my plate was very lukewarm…. All of the above even led me to think that they had brought me a dish that was left in the kitchen from a previous incorrect order. For the rest, unfortunately, I also have to confirm some last negative aspects of this time which - by chance - I read shortly before writing this review of mine and which were added by another customer who frequented the place only a month before myself. The waiters were in a very hurry and were talking really loudly between the tables, so definitely annoying for customers. The waiter brought the bread in a paper bag (as always) but this time he threw it on the table. Last but not least when asking to pay, I had to ask for the bill twice and wait again to pay. It's really a shame. Concluding feedback for those who manage the facility: Remember that the most precious asset of any company is its customers, without whom….

Nice place to eat delicious pasta. Lots of choice and something for everyone. Unfortunately, some ingredients were not included in the pasta we ordered. As a starter you got bread, chili oil and lots of parmesan. The spaghetti carbonara was a little too weak in taste. But that's a matter of taste.

Pizza and service were good. For a short stop we enjoyed a pizza with a wonderful view of the lake.
