Gutes Preis.-/Leistungsverhältniss. In der Menge wird stets nie gespart, grosszügige Füllung, auch das Eis ist sehr lecker und äusserst gross. Und immer sehr freundlich(Bedienung Sanja!) und unkomplizierte Atmosphäre, man fühlt sich einfach sehr wohl. Der Campari Spritz kostet z.B. CHF 10,-!

Man bestellt sein Essen am Tresen. Die Angestellten waren sehr freundlich. Wir haben eine Pizza und Gnocchi in Salbeisauce mit 2 Getränken bestellt. Das Essen war innerhalb kurzer Zeit fertig. Beides hat wirklich sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir haben für alles 42 CHF bezahlt.

Nice Italian style restaurant. They serve classic Italian specialties for a reasonable price. The pizzas are my favorite.

Die Pizza war sehr gut und die Bedienung trotz vieler Gäste schnell. Ein Nachteil ist, dass das Restaurant extrem eng bestuhlt ist und somit sehr lärmig, kaum ohne Abstand zu den Gästen am Nachbarstisch. Seltsam auch, dass man nicht am Tisch bezahlen kann, sondern extra zur Kasse gehen muss - das empfinde ich als schlechten Service. War auch etwas mühsam, wegen der vielen Gäste, der engen Bestuhlung, man konnte sich nicht zur Kasse durchkämpfen ohne andere Gäste anzurempeln. Ungewöhnlich auch, dass das Personal einem duzt. Das Essen war aber sehr gut.

Im unteren Stock wird man bedient, im oberen Stock ist Selbstbedienung. Wir hatten 2 Pizzas, 1x Thon und 1x Prosciutto Funghi. Sie waren gut belegt, jedoch schmeckte uns der Teig nicht so, da haben wir schon deutlich Bessere gegessen. Für einen schnellen Imbiss ist es ok, auch weil die Stühle so hart sind dass sie sich nicht für langes Sitzen eignen. Unten hat es Polstermöbel, jedoch ist da aufgrund der offenen Türe immer Durchzug. Punkteabzug gibt es für das nicht so schöne Ambiente im oberen Stock und für den Pizzateig.

The salad - "super verde" was a substantial bowl full with a good variety of fresh ingredients for 19 CHF. The meat lasagne was also freshly prepared, piping hot and made with good quality mince and a reasonable proportion of of sauce Ok for 20 CHF in Switzerland. 5.90 for a latte macchiato is a bit on the steep side though. There is partial waitress service. You order at the counter & if you need to wait whilst food is cooked then you are given a vibrator that alerts you when its ready. The location is very close to the Mittlebrucke (middle bridge) on the Gross Basel side of the river. It is a pleasant place decorated tastefully to an Italian theme. Only criticism is that the waitress should be more attentive to keeping tables clean after guests have left. It give a bad impression when you walk in & see oil or mess on the tables - & it sticks in the mind. Since the waiting staff do not have so much to do - (for example there is a wagon for guests to put trays with their empty plates on) - this should be achievable.

We went to this particular restaurant because it was written on multiple website that Spiga is particular child friendly and has a play corner for our 2 year old (pictures of it looked great) Unfortunately the corner was very dirty, the toys all broken and very very dusty. There was 1 highlight, a huge chalkboard but....no chalk. It's a shame, because if they had this corner we were promised online we would come more often as normal restaurants are drama at the moment with our energetic 2 year old.

Located close to the Rhein and easy to find, very friendly staff and delicious Pizzas. I recommend Feta Marinara and Donatella. It has a ground floor and 1st floor, try the 1st floor with a better view to outside.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Dafür, dass man sich teilweise lange anstellen und das Essen selber holen muss, sind die Preise deutlich zu hoch. Deshalb komme ich nicht so oft hierher. Bei vernünftigeren Preisen wäre ich öfters zu Gast...

arrived at 22:30 simply to get a takeaway ice-cream (which they normally sell). The waiter who happened to be conveniently stood just behind the ice-cream counter at the moment I walked in (a counter with several open tubs of ice cream right in front of me!) refused, claiming the restaurant was closed...yet the website clearly states they are open till 23:00. In fact he spent longer arguing with me than it would have taken him to just serve me a scoop of ice cream! I finally gave up and enquired if he knew of any other place in the vicinity where I might be able to purchase a gelato, to which he replied it'd be difficult in Basel at this hour. Well, thankfully I discovered 3 open places happily selling ice cream within about a 300m radius! Good to know I'll never have to go back. But they'll forever stick in my memory: as I have never, and doubt I will ever again, encounter a place which tries this hard NOT to sell something :-)

Ich gehe sehr oft ins Spiga, weil Preis und Leistung einfach stimmen. Grosse und gute Speisekarte. Viele verschiedene Getränke, im Sommer kann man draussen sitzen. Grosse Tische, auch alleine gibt es immer tolle Gespräche. Ich gehe sehr oft ins Spiga auch wegen der leckeren Pasta Auswahl und dem sehr freundlichen und sehr hilfsbereitem Personal.

Very slow and unpleasant service. We were waiting for pizza and pasta with kids for 30 minutes, after 2 reminders they finally arrived. Better to go to another restaurant.

We were walking around Basel and happened upon this place. It’s thought it would be hard to mess up pizza and salad so I didn’t look up any reviews. Not only was it outrageously expensive for what is is (I’m not used to Swiss prices, clearly) but the food was just ok. The salad was drowning in a mayonnaise dressing and the pizzas had potential but were all burned on the bottom. If you are not starving, keep moving on to find a better place.

Samstag in Basel. Wir haben sehr viel Gutes gehört über dieses Restaurant in Bezug auf Kinderfreundlichkeit. Kurzerhand entschieden einen Test zu wagen. Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht, feine Pizzen und Pasta, nette Atmossphäre und mittelmässige Preise. Im OG gibt es eine grosse Wandtafel zum Malen und an der Kasse kann eine Tasche mit Malsachen verlangt werden. Gerne wieder...

Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist hervorragend, die Bedienung leider jedoch nicht. Insbesondere die Bedienung an der Kasse (Mann, Mitte dreissig) scheint desinteressiert und unfreundlich.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal in der Schweiz, dies war unser erstes Essen. Grundsätzlich 45 USD für eine Pizza, eine Bestellung von Lasagne, eine Limo und Eistee. Bestellen Sie an der Theke, sie benachrichtigen Sie, wenn Sie fertig sind. Das Essen war sehr gut.

ich war gestern mit einem Besuch im Spiga in Basel zum Mittagessen. Sehr wenige Leute anwesend, trotzdem steht man vor dem Tresen mit den Angeboten einer eher gelangweilten Bedienung gegenüber! Kein "Hallo Guten Tag " oder sowas. Und vor allem kein Wort über vielleicht eine Empfehlung etc. Ich muss wirklich sagen, die Bedienung ist unfreundlich, schnodderig und unmotiviert! Schade, ich besuche den Spiga in Basel nicht mehr.

I visit Basel every year for work and make sure I come to Spiga as I love the raw salad here. It’s great even without any dressing and ofocurse delicious with it. I also like the pesto spaghetti.

Open on sundays!:) i go there whenever i am in the neighbourhood; the decoration is very nice and the food is ok. Only thing is it is always full and you might have to take the stairs to go upstairs..

Pizza, pasta, risotto, with a Swiss twist in places. My risotto was fine, overly saucy which I have found to be a little bit the Swiss way?My Negroni was delightful.The service was good. Both people who helped me spoke great English and couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming.

Service sympathique, ambiance décontractée, bien placé. Idéal pour une pause lors de son shopping ou simplement pour un moment entre amis. Les prix sont très corrects et les quantités suffisantes. Pour un établissement situé à Bale, il est très abordable de s'y détendre!

We came here on a Thursday night. It;s in a nice location just a few metres from the river. The service was good, the food was good - just what you would expect, nothing particularly special. The choice of desserts was very poor.The price I felt was expensive. We had Bruschetta, Bolognese, Caesar Salad and a Pizza - some soft drinks, and the price was 91CHF. (£75). I feel that is not good value, however when you look at Switzerland prices it's probably about right.

Located in the city centre it’s a good place if you need some comfort food, especially if quickly!Pizzas were ok, premises clean and comfortable, staff very helpful and professional.Recommended.

Tagliatelle al profumo di tartufo recitava il menu ma il piatto seppur abbondante mancava di sale nell`acqua di cottura, praticamente un piatto di tagliatelle e panna con forse qualche goccia di olio di tartufo senza una guarnizione o un trito di erbette a dare sostanza visiva...per quello che costa una delusione su tutta la linea. La caprese era fatta con pomodori forse congelati visto che erano farinosi in bocca, il condimento sul fondo del piatto era un misto di acqua olio e balsamico, immangiabile. Vivo a Basilea, si trova di meglio.

This is a fast food, order at the counter type of place. It was convenient, near our hotel. The prices are reasonable. The staff wasn't very friendly, but that is okay since you order and pick up at the counter. We ordered a pizza and a pasta dish. Both were ready in less than 10 minutes. Pizza was actually pretty good. The pasta was pretty bland.If you are in a hurry and don't really want to spend a lot of time, then is a good place. If you are looking for an italian dining experience, find another place.

“Un insulto à la Cucina italiana” Pour commencer j’ai dû laisser la poussette en bas avec un bébé qui dormait, et que j’ai dû garder dans les bras pendant il dormait, donc pour manger pas vraiment pratique. Personne ne parlait français, heureusement il y avait une serveuse qui parlait Italien, très sympa, on a dû attendre pour avoir à boire, entrée rapide mais un antipasto misto a 21.- avec presque rien dans l’assiette, pour manger on a dû attendre presque 1heure, et finalement on pu rien manger, un risotto au champignon ultra cuit, au goût de rien et froid, on a commandé pour la petite rigatoni à la bolognese mais on a eu le penne et la bolognaise avec un goût bizarre de boite à conserve, mon mari avait pris saltimbocca avec du riz, mais on a eu les tagliatelles ?!?! Deux tranches de veau minuscule avec une sauce qu’on a pas pu déchiffrer!! On a payé hyper cher pour rien manger!!! Jamais mangé si mal!!

Restaurant italien self-service bien situé très sympathique.Nous sommes venus simplement pour un café, mais ce restaurant propose une grande variété de plats italiens. Nous y reviendrons une autre fois pour un repas. En résumé, je vous conseille ce restaurant pour un café.

Our group of 6 had lunch here on a busy Saturday afternoon. The pizzas were very good as was the Penne Arrabiata. There is no table service, you place your order at the counter and wait for them to call your number...so kind of a fast food place, but with much higher quality food. Conveniently located in the historic district of Basel. The prices are also not "fast food," but Swiss prices are high everywhere.

Die unmotivierten und unfreundlichen Mitarbeiter bzw Filialleiter laden nicht einem ein hier zum verweilen. Eine begrüssung beim eintretten sucht man vergeblich. Das Essen schmeckt Solide gut. Es gibt andere schöne Restaurants in Basel.

Dieser Ort macht wirklich gute Pizza und Pasta. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, aber Sie müssen das Essen selbst abholen.

Schönes Lokal und nettes Personal, für ein Mittagessen sicher ein guter Ort. Mitten in der Stadt an einer sehr guten Lage. Es ist halt Pasta mit irgendeiner Sauce. Ob man für einen Teller Pasta wirklich um die Fr. 20.- ausgeben möchte, muss man selbst entscheiden. Ich hatte Tagliatelle al Salmone und meine Begleitung Rigatoni alla Bolognese. Meine Pasta war kalt und klebte noch aneinander, und war zu sehr al dente gekocht. Die Sauce war heiss, mehr als 5 Lachsstückchen konnte ich leider nicht finden. Die Bolognese war anscheinend zu salzig. Immerhin: die Portion war gross. Mein Fazit: die Fr. 20.- gebe ich nicht mehr für Pasta aus, sondern lieber für Pizza. Nur bedingt empfehlenswert.

With my 3 friends we go to Spiga in Basel at Eisengasse for lunch at least once a month. Every time it is a major deal if you want to take their aalad with chicken without chicken .... it makes me think why is wanting salad as a vegetarian option such a major issue? Heard about customer focus anyone? And even if not, just leave the chicken out!

Ristorante situato in centro, a Basilea, molto frequentato anche da persone di passaggio e professionisti. Menù self service, tipicamente italiano, ma pietanze dai sapori non certo nostrani, compresa la pasta alla carbonara, l'arrabbiata e le varie tipologie di pizza. Consigliato solo se si ha molta fretta e poche alternative

I had coffee here on a couple of occasions and lunch once. It is in a nice location very near to the old Mittlere Bridge and the staff are quite friendly (despite my lack of German language). I had a Spaghetti Carbonara which, although not the best I have had, was very nice and there was enough of it to fill me. I also had a mint iced tea which was not so nice. As with nearly all restaurants (and everything else) in Basel it was very over-priced (CHF25+ in August 2018).If you are staying in Basel this is not the most expensive restaurant and worth a visit.

The food is so lala but not very good. The service is mediocre, things are ordered but not brought to the table. Unfriendly staff, that doesn’t seem very motivated to do anything. Little space as they often close off the upstairs, dirty tables.Regarding the bad service and okay food, the prices are way too high.

Today I chose this restaurant for having lunch with my 2years old son. Due to the fact that I could not go upstairs carrying at the same time the baby and the tray, when the food was ready in the tray, I asked for help to bring it upstairs to the man who was attending the bar and surprisingly he told me the best that I could do was to go first with my baby, let him upstairs ALONE, and to come back downstairs to pick up the food. It was totally insane, so first of all I thought he was kidding, however he wasn’t. In addition, he told me he was a father of three and it was normal to do things like that. So I refused for the second time, and again I kindly asked for help. He directly refused to help me by confirming I should do what he suggested the first time. I was in shock. But the worst thing happened when I realied this: he was in charge of the restaurant, Mr.MST. This restaurant seems to be a “kids friendly” one but I felt just the opposite and it was also a very sad experience because of the bully manager’s attitude. After insisting several times, he gave up and asked one of the staff member to carry our food.

We stopped in for lunch while in Basel and have to say the food was amazing, tasted lovely and was cooked fresh to order, I had pasta and my husband had a calzone, beautiful food we would have gone back but it was closed Sunday which was our last day. Would highly recommend.

The boss is incompatible, arrogant, malicious person, who shouldn't work in hospitality!He acted with me, like I was a hobo, while I wanted to get my take-away coffee (which I just bought there) to upstairs for 5 minutes, to say goodbye to my friends. He literally just showed me the door and said ": Out!I tried to expain, that it's just 5 min. and I'm on my way, he didn't give a heck.And after that, I asked for the book of complains and he said, they have non, ( of course!) and I should send an e-mail. I did and I didn't get any answer, because he doesn't care at all! He's just a d*bag!Noone has ever done anything like this before with me! I was so upset and I just wanted an explanation and an apology. Is it that much to ask for??? I wouldn't recommend to anyone to go there just because of him! He doesn't deserve a prosperous restaurant!! He deserves nothing, if he handels the costumers that way!!!!!

I went to this restaurant on my recent trip to Basel with my husband. We stopped in at lunch, and we both loved our food. I had a grilled chicken salad, and he had a salad with buffalo mozzarella with tomato and basil. It was so good and fresh that I went back for another salad another day! We sat outside and watched a world cup game. It was a nice memory. It is nothing fancy, just good food.

If You don’t have too much Time and You Want to eat excellent pasta or pizza Then this is the right Place.

Para comer un plato d pasta/pizza o ensalada. Sin pretensiones y correcto por el precio. Ha sido una buena opción, al contrario del resto de opiniones no he visto mal servicio porque no lo hay. Pides y esperas tu plato en barra y luego te lo llevas tu mismo a la mesa. Es self service.

We stumbled across Spiga just before the heavens opened and were certainly glad we did. After waiting an age to be served we were greeted with a profound apology for being overlooked and service after then was impeccable. I had a delicious pizza pomodorini e rucola (cherry tomato and rocket) which was very generously topped. My elder daughter opted for a more traditional margherita, which was a little more heavily seasoned than would have been the case in the UK. The pizza dough was excellent in both cases. My younger daughter opted for spaghetti pomodoro from the kids' menu, which was also generous.The size of the main courses meant that anything other than a small gelato was out of the question. I had a glass of merlot - beware that a standard measure in Switzerland is 1dl, even less than the smallest measure (1.25dl, only available on request in the UK). All in all, I would return here out of choice, regardless of whether or not we were looking for somewhere to shelter from the impending storm!

Ждать заказ пришлось достаточно долго, но я была терпелива и предвкушала нечто особенное.Какое же меня ждало разочарование. Красивое многообещающее описания блюда в меню так и осталось только в моем воображении.Рыбу принесли на жаровне с тремя помидорками черри и веточками трав. Лосось был никаким. Единственные два прилагательных для его описания, которые приходят на ум - горячий(что хорошо) и безвкусный. Я впервые с таким столкнулась.Отдельно подали салат. Такой же безвкусный, как и главное блюдо. Порция тоже маленькая.В итоге заплатив 36 шв.франков я вышла из ресторана разочарованная едой и полуголодная.Не рекомендую это место. И Базеле полно предложений, где можно с хорошо покушать. Здесь нет.

The food is very good although the staff is not friendly at all with parents. I’ve been there with a few friends and my baby during a teething episode and the staff has told us “your baby has been crying for 1,5hrs - you should take your baby outside for fresh air”. We were basically invited to leave the restaurant not to bother themselves as the restaurant was empty that time of the day. My baby has not been crying for 1,5hrs and in fact he slept a bit, was breastfed and his diapers were changed. Before I left, my friends were so disappointed that they asked why did they say that and the answer was “if your friend doesn’t feed nor change her baby’s diaper of course cries like that”. I’m extremely disappointed with this restaurant and would like to confirm to other parents this is a non-baby friendly. In fact, the diaper changing table and playground area is upstairs whereas you can’t go up with strollers making it very dangerous for parents to go up the stairs. Although the food is great, there are other delicious and baby-friendly Italian places in Basel I’d definitely recommend but not Spiga.

If you are in Basel this could be an option for a good Italian. I recommend to try local pizzas and if the weather is nice, enjoy the mood outside.

I don’t eat out a lot, but when I do, Spiga is one of my top picks. It is not fancy or high end; the food is good, the portions gene our and the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. Stop by for a glass of prosecco or a cappuccino, or for a full meal. The pizzas are top notch. Sunday brunch is good too. If you have young kids, the play area upstairs is great and has just the right amount of separation from the main dining area. I have enjoyed many meals and glasses of wine with my husband and/or out of town visitors in peace, without rushing to get the kids fed and out, because of that play area. Thanks to Spiga for that.

Nice place to have a short lunch or dinner, not worth to stay longer i.m.h.o. Two levels restaurant, you should order on ground floor and sit upstairs waiting for your dish to be cooked. After you pay the order they will give you a small machine which will buzz when the order is ready, then you should come to the counter to pick up your food. I tried rigatoni bolognese (was more or less average, absolutely plane) 19,90 CHF and pizza tonno (was good enough) 18,90 CHF. Not cheap surely but what is cheap in Switzerland?!All in all I could recommend this restaurant.

We have visited this restaurant twice. Service a bit patchy, but very pleasant staff. The pasta and risotto dishes we had were very tasty. Basel is a very expensive city, costing roughly double that of the UK and this restaurant represents relatively good value with a pleasant atmosphere. For most visiting Brits, Swiss restaurants represent poor value, quality and usually indifferent service, but that's just how it is.

Nun ja, wo soll ich anfangen..Das Essen war leider nur Durchschnitt - nichts spezielles und bereits abgekühlt. .Ein ganz grosses MINUS gibt es jedoch für die Bedienung. So etwas haben wir noch nie erlebt:- Spezialwünsche wurden nur sehr ungern angenommen - man musste fast dafür kämpfen (Laktoseintoleranz)- Die Teller wurden äusserst "grob" serviert - angemessene Servier-Regeln wurden regelrecht ausser acht gelassen. Die Art und Weise wie das Essen serviert wurde, lässt definitiv zu wünschen übrig-Wir starteten die Kommunikation auf der Siezen-Ebene, wurde von der Bedienung jedoch laufend geduzt.-Freundlichkeit scheint ein absolutes Fremdwort zu sein - wir haben kein einziges Lächeln zu sehen gekriegt, stattdessen herrschte in Gesicht der Bedienung mit leicht grünen Haaren (der Name wird nicht publiziert) drei Tage Regenwetter. Klar, jeder hat mal einen schlechten Tag, trotzdem sollte man professionell bleiben können und die Berufsrichtung in diesem Falle definitiv nochmals überdenken.-Kurz vor Feierabend liess sie ihrem Frust nochmals freien Lauf. Die junge Dame stellte sich mit bereits angezogener Winterjagge neben uns und teilte uns ihre Meinung betreffend dem servierten Wein und der späten Konsumierung mit. Die Wortwahl so wie der Ton waren leider sehr unangemessen -wir trauten unsern Ohren nicht. Trotz der Bitte um "etwas Freundlichkeit und einer normalen Kommunikation zwischen Ihr und den Kunden" verbesserte sich die Lage nicht.So etwas lassen wir kein weiteres Mal mehr über uns ergehen und ich rate definitiv JEDEM davon ab.@Spiga vielleicht sollte die Besatzung des Lokas nochmals geprüft und im besten Falle komplett ausgetauscht werden..

Gestern Abend war ich mit einer Gruppe bei Ihnen im Lokal. Ich habe mich im Vorfeld bei Ihnen gemeldet betreffend einer veganen Alternative und per Mail Auskunft erhalten.Somit habe ich mich gestern an eine Ihrer Angestellten gewandt. Eine Alternative wurde mir erst wirklich angeboten, als ich gesagt habe, dass ich eine Allergie habe. Es tut mir leid, dass ich das Restaurant damit angelogen habe, aber wenn ich nicht ernst genommen werde und mehrmals gefragt werde, ob es denn eine Allergie sei, habe ich dies als Ausrede verwendet. Mir wurde dann gesagt, dass die Penne ohne Ei sind und somit habe ich mich für Penne entschieden. Zudem wurde mir noch ein Risotto gemacht (ohne Butter und Käse) und das schätze ich wirklich sehr.Trotzdem finde ich es „unter alles Sau“ (äxgüsi die Wortwahl) dass ich aufgrund meiner Ernährungsweise diskriminiert werde und lügen muss, damit ich ernst genommen werde.Die erwähnte Angestellte war zudem den ganzen Abend kein freundliches Gesicht. Mir ist bewusst, dass man im Service auch einen schlechten Tag haben darf, dies an uns auszulassen ist aber keine Option! Wir sind bei Ihnen Gäste und erwarten Gastfreundschaft und vor allem Anstand und Respekt!Die Angestellte war den ganzen Abend passiv und schenkte uns kein Lächeln. Die Teller wurden plump hingelegt (das war kein servieren mehr!) und wir fühlten uns permanent als ungebetene Gäste. Ich bin kein Mensch, den man siezen muss, aber wenn mich jemand so respektlos behandelt und dann den ganzen Abend noch duzt, habe ich ein Problem damit.Wir haben dann die Rechnung bezahlt (es war eine Pauschale) und gemäss der Rechnung durften wir noch zwei Flaschen Wein bestellen, die wir bereits bezahlt haben. Wir sassen am Tisch und haben somit noch eine Flasche bestellt. Wir genossen den Wein beim Plaudern und plötzlich kam die Angestellte in Winterjacke, als würde sie gleich Feierabend machen, zu uns und sagte uns wortwörtlich: „Nur weil ihr den Wein bezahlt habt, ist es nicht das Ziel, dass ihr den jetzt trinken müsst!“. Wir waren nicht nur von der Aussage an und für sich schockiert, sondern auch von dem Tonfall. Solch einen respektlosen Umgang habe ich noch nie in der Gastronomie erlebt. Wir haben sie darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass wir den Wein bezahlt haben und dass wir den jetzt geniessen möchten. Zudem haben wir ihr gesagt, dass wir Freundlichkeit und Anstand erwarten. Sie lief wortlos davon.Wir haben den Wein leer getrunken und haben uns auf den Weg gemacht, wollten jedoch noch die zweite Flasche Wein, welche ja bereits bezahlt ist. Unten an der Bar wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass wir diese jetzt nicht mehr haben können. Zwei Männer der Gruppe sprachen nochmals mit der Dame an der Bar (nicht die unfreundliche Angestellte von oben) und sie meinte, das Restaurant würde gerne schliessen. Ich verstehe, dass man Feierabend machen möchte, aber wenn es noch Gäste im Lokal hat, kann man das Restaurant doch nicht vorzeitig schliessen (abgesehen von uns hatte es noch ca. 5 bis 10 andere Personen im SPIGA)? Wir mussten dann noch ein bisschen diskutieren, haben dann aber schliesslich den Wein, den wir ja bereits bezahlt haben, erhalten.Wir hatten einen schönen Abend, die Stimmung bei uns war gut – aber das SPIGA hat definitiv nichts dazu beigetragen. Ich werde dieses Restaurant bestimmt nicht weiterempfehlen und werde auch nicht mehr bei Ihnen einkehren. Solch eine Frechheit habe ich in meinem Leben noch nie erlebt.

Nettes Ambiente, Essen max. durchschnitlich, nichts wo man unbedingt nochmal kommen will!Einmal mehr..

Nous avons mangé une pizza sur la terrasse du restaurant le soir. A ce moment de la journée la circulation est très restreinte, ce qui rend le lieu très agréable !Le service est au top et souriant.

Ich hatte heute die erste und wohl auch letzte Pizza bei Spiga bzw. habe ich sie nicht mal gegessen da sie ausgetrocknet und kalt war. Ich lasse mir in der Regel normalen Mozzarella immer gegen Buffala Mozzarella austauschen da ich letzteren besser vertrage. Das war auch noch nie ein Problem. Als meine Pizza kam müsste ich allerdings feststellen dass der Mozzarella nicht wie üblich eingebacken war und die Pizza eher einem leicht ausgetrocknetem Brot mit Mozarella Salat ähnelte. Statt mir anzubieten die Pizza nochmal mit Käse aufzubacken hat man meine Beschwerde einfach hingenommen und mich eine Reguläre Pizza plus Topping zahlen lassen... interessanter Ansatz Missverständnisse zu klären und auf Kunden einzugehen. Man sollte nicht in der Gastronomie und im Service arbeiten wenn man dies nicht kann.

Very cozy place with nice offer of pastas and pizzas. Plenty of tables inside divided in two floors with modern decoration. During sunny days you can also enjoy the Basel mood outside.

Nice atmosphere, but average food. Can't say it's authentic Italian but we were so hungry, it had to suffice. We ordered tagliatelle primavera, which was a bit bland and the veggies tasted like boiled and pasta Bolognese that was decent.

Trotz bereits mehrfacher Unfreundlichkeit und mangelnder Servicequalität, war ich heute Abend im Spiga um das Studentenmenü zum Mitnehmen zu bestellen. Die Bedienung war extrem unfreundlich und wollte meinen Studentenausweis nicht akzeptieren, da dieser vor drei Tagen abgelaufen ist. Grundsätzlich absolut verständlich, wäre da nicht die Tatsache, dass das neue Semester erst im September beginnt und der neue Ausweis erst in einigen Tagen zugeschickt wird. Wie gesagt, kann ich dies grundsätzlich verstehen, aber nicht die Art, wie mir dies kommuniziert wurde. Mit einem schadenfrohen Lachen im Gesicht und unverschämtem Ton wurde mir gesagt, da könne ja jeder kommen, Studenten kämen mit dieser Ausrede noch Ende September... Mit ein wenig Kulanz oder auch nur Freundlichkeit hätte man sich einen Stammkunden erhalten können, nie wieder Spiga.

Wir haben Spaghetti a La Carbonara gegessen und es war sehr lecker!!!!! Zum empfehlen. Self Service bis 18 Uhr danach wird serviert. Gleiche Preis. Pizza al calzone auch sehr lecker. Kinder Spielplatz auf dem 1. Stock

Nous avons trouvé cet établissement dans le vieux Bâle car les prix pratiqués correspondaient à notre budget. Nous n'avons pris toutefois qu'une pizza chacun. Cette pizza était par ailleurs très bonne. Bon accueil du personnel.

Ich mag die Lockerheit und die Freundlichkeit der Kellner. Mann merkt sie haben spass bei der Arbeit und das gute Essen passt dazu. Eine Tolle Lage nur leider eine zu kleine Terrasse :) Also wirklich sehr empfehlenswert.

Very unfriendly and unprofessional staff.I would like to remind the management that despite the quality of the food (not too bad but average) the difference it is done by the service and the personnel's attitude. Hopefully attitude will change, nevertheless I will not pay a visit to Spiga for a long long time.

I used to always go to spiga. Really liked the kids corner. Food was nothing special but the service was good. Since it was child-friendly we used to enjoy going there. Last time we went they already told us that the stroller cannot be taken to the 2nd floor. They didn't tell it in a nice way. Sorry, kids corner but you cannot take the stroller upstairs? Isn't it ironic?Anyways today we went again. We left the stroller downstairs as we knew from last time and both kids were awake. We had a 2x1 ticket that was valid until june30th and hadn't realized it was july1st today. The man at the counter without even greeting us, just told us those are not valid anymore, in a rude way. We ordered a pasta for our son. Asked for an extra plate and a small spoon but no , this is only for coffee. No possibility to get it...Then we took the parmisan which is on the upper floor. On top of the parmisan it says in german not to take it. We took it, hadn't read what it said honestly (what if someone does not speak german?) The way the same guy at the counter (who was now upstairs) told us not to take the parmisan and put it on a table, was really rude and unpolite. Spiga just lost 5 customers...our family and a friend of us who also used to go often and realized even the quality of the pizza is worse. Sadly another of many places in Basel who start good and then when they have achieved a good rate of customers just don't care anymore. Bye bye Spiga

Wir hatten einen Coupon (der billigere Hauptgang gratis) und so ging wir dieses Restaurant ausprobieren.Der Merlot war billig und eben nicht wie ein Merlot schmecken würde. Der Salat war gut und der Hauptgang eigentlich auch. Die Wartezeit, bei einem Restaurant, dass halb voll ist (Samstag abends um 19:30) sollte doch weniger als 25 Minuten zwischen Voressen und Hauptgang sein.Der Preis ist wucher. Für Spagetti ai gamberoni bezahle ich einfach nicht 36 Franken.Sorry, nicht mit uns.

The food are nice but not really Italian, still good enough.The service was sooooo rude with us they talk to customer like a dog, probably because we don't speak German..$US60 for 2 with eat and drink, normal price for Swiss.I know how that restaurant service are not the best job ever but try to be nice with customer, I'm from US virgin island and there sympathy and welcoming are included with the price.

Gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Menü geht von einfache Pasta's /Pizza zu mehr Luxus Mahlzeiten. Der Service ist gut, so ein schönes Hotel für (schnell! ) Abendessen.

Im Restaurant Spiga gibt es sehr gutes Italienisches essen zu fairen Preisen. Durch den Tag ist Selbstbedienung, nach 18:00 wird serviert.

食事ではなくカフェで利用しました。カウンターで注文する手軽な感じでした。食事で利用している人、カフェで利用している人たちの半々くらいです。さっと入って出るのに便利です。

Die Selbstbedienung ist nur bis 18h00 aktiv, danach wird man am Tisch bedient. Wir waren das erste Mal in diesem Lokal und fühlten uns sehr wohl. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Leckere Speisen, feine Pizzen. Ich werde wiederkommen.

Nous avons choisi le restaurant car on nous avait dit qu'il était adapté pour les enfants. Première déception, à notre arrivée, on nous a demandé de laisser la poussette au rez-de-chaussée et de monter les escaliers alors même que nos amis nous avaient dit qu'il y avait un ascenseur et que les personnes arrivées au même temps que nous on pu le prendre. L'un de nous a dû manger avec notre bébé de deux mois dans les bras alors qu'il aurait tranquillement pu continuer de dormir dans sa poussette. Deuxième déception, au premier étage, la grande table pour une dizaine de personnes dans le coin enfants était vide. Nous avons demandé à nous asseoir, on nous a rétorqué que c'était réservé. Deux minutes plus tard, un autre couple est arrivé, et le gérant leur a, tout sourire, proposé la grande table alors qu'ils n'avaient pas réservé non plus. Le reste de la table est resté vide jusqu'à ce qu'arrive un troisième couple avec enfants qui eux aussi ont eu "le droit" de s'y installer. Pendant qu'un de nous restait à table avec le bébé dans les bras, l'autre a dû rester debout à 10 mètres pour surveiller notre enfant de deux ans qui jouait dans le coin enfants. Troisième déception, la nourriture. Les tortellini 5 P étaient vraiment mauvais. La pizza passable. Bref plus jamais.

Das Restaurant ist sehr zentral gelegen in Basel.Es ist Selbstbedienung Art Restaurant.Ich bestellte Thunfisch Pizza und es war eine gute.Obwohl die Preise im Restaurant sind sehr teuer - denn es ist die Schweiz !

Spiga macht verfügt über einige der besten Kaffee in der Stadt. Mein Favorit ist ein Cappuccino. Die Salate sind klasse und die Pizzas zum bestellen. Es ist unser Lieblingsort für Mittagessen oder ein Kaffee treffen - bis. Das Personal ist freundlich und spricht Englisch, so dass immer hilfreich ist für Besucher.

Vielen Dank für den guten Service und das gute Essen ihr seit Spitzee!!!!! Das Risotto ist sensationell und die Bedienung stets freundlich und aufmerksam!!

Super cool decor, nice ambient music, very good coffee (and croissant included in the morning), dolce, good, basic Italian fare - mamma mia, you've found the right place.I come here for business meetings all the time - plenty of space upstairs, music is not too loud, the coffee is good, and the (self) service is friendly and nice. I just love the photos they have on the wall - really makes you feel like you have walked into an Italian café. The food is very nice and the right price (cheap eats for Swiss standards - so lower priced, higher quality meal).

Récemment ouvert, prés du pont et de l'embarcadère, Spiga Restorante avec un décor désign est un lieu sympathique et la cuisine italienne est à l'honneur.On déguste des bons plats végétariens, des Gnocchi al Gorgonzola, des Raviolis maermmami, des pizza savoureuses accompagnés de vins italiens.

Très belle deco, de bons plats préparés rapidement. Top pour une pause rapide le midi.les tarifs sont un peu élevé pour un quasi-self..

Nettes Ambiente, gute Lage an der Schifflände (für Autofahrer: jedoch in der verkehrsfreien Zone), aufmerksame Bedienung (im 1. Stock wird bedient) und alles sauber. Die Pizza Diva war super und die Desserts, z.B. Panna Cotta, gibt es in sehr kleinen Gluscht-Portionen für wenig Geld. Gerne wieder :-)

Abbiamo pranzato e non avevamo molto tempo a disposizione. Questo ristorante self-service è molto variato e l'ambiente carino e discreto. Molto pulito all'interno, i bagni sonp impeccabili! Anche i collaboratori gentili e speditivi. Cucina molto buona e porzioni discrete, l'insalata di tonno era squisita e fresca, i maccheroni con salsa bolognese erano molto buoni e abbondanti. Sicuramente ideale per chi lavora con poco tempo a disposizione.

Wir haben oben im Restaurantbereich. Der Service war gut und die Preise nicht zu schlecht. Viel Auswahl inklusive eine gute Auswahl an Spezialitäten. Pizza waren groß und sehr lecker.

localino carino e curato, personale svizzero ma menu italiano, mangiato bene, buon servizio, prezzi più bassi della media di Basilea ( molto alta e di qualità relativa). ci siamo tornati più volte in un week end perchè la scelta altrove era o di scarsa qualità o dai prezzi folli per noi italiani

Die Atmosphäre ist toll und das Lokal ist nett eingerichtet. Essen-/Besteckholen ist mühsam, da die Plateaus recht klein und die Bestuhlung sehr eng ist. Wenn man Vor- und Hauptspeise haben möchte, muss man das Prozedere 2x durchlaufen oder helfende Hände haben.Die Pizzen sind sehr sehr lecker, aber meine Tagliatelli mit Lachs und Zitronensauce eine totale Enttäuschung: Furztrocken, fade und von Zitronengeschmack keine Spur...

Ich muss sagen, ich war richtig enttäuscht und werde bestimmt nicht wieder dirt hin gehen. Ich wohne in Basel, bin oft und gerne unterwegs und habe selber lange Jahre in der Gastronomie gearbeitet aber das finde ich einfach nur frech. 5.- für ein Cola zu verlangen, welches ich mir a.) selber holen muss an der Theke b.) in einer Pet Flasche erhalte und c.) mir ein Glas wieder separat holen muss und kein Eis oder Zitrone vorhanden ist. Wie bitte sehr rechtfertigt sich da der Preis? Das Kaffee/Restaurant liegt ja ganz nett und sieht einladend aus aber das unterstütze ich sicher nicht. Ich finde keiner sollte das unterstützen und besser an einen Ort gehen, wo Mann/Frau auch wirklich was bekommt für sein Geld!ä. Sorry Spiga.. sehr sehr schwach
