Starbucks in St. Gallen

Super nice staff, Thomas does a great job and motivates his team! On the topic in the recession about a month ago with the shiny beans and the quality is completely unrealistic, here's the reasoning: Coffee beans have an oily shine when the fatty substances in the bean come to the surface in the form of oil. This can be caused by the heat during a long roast (in the case of Starbucks (dark roast)). ;-)

Quality of coffee and cake impeccable, but very high prices

I really liked the service at Starbucks in St. Gallen. The employee Boki particularly stood out among the staff. He had a very positive demeanor and was extremely friendly to me and my friends. Would go there again at any time.

That's not coffee! The beans are shiny which indicates that the quality is not OK! Properly roasted coffee beans don't shine! The cookies and everything else should be made fresh daily! What's so difficult about making cookies fresh in the morning??? Good employees.

I was at Starbucks station this evening and I bought my favorite cake and the waiter was so cold the first time, the second time he just slapped the cake in the box for me, I'm just disappointed.

Staff are always friendly and quick, the coffee is always very good. Sure, overpriced, but you know what you're getting into at Starbucks. The ambience is a bit gloomy as there are no windows (train station underpass), but completely ok for take away.

It was prepared very well, even hot, which is not a given at StB. They still need to practice a bit when it comes to being relaxed

I'm not a fan of the Starbucks brand lol but the staff here is nice and the atmosphere is actually too. Always go there to study. Greetings go out to the nice lady who always says my name with a K instead of a C.

I've ordered a hot chocolate and a ham & cheese sandwich twice via the app. Both times you only had the hot chocolate. Since I ordered via the app, I have already paid for both. Now the second time I at least got a voucher for a free drink. But if you don't have something then you shouldn't be able to order it.

Servicewise one of the most unfriendly Star Bucks I ever went to.

A Starbucks like almost any other. Drinks as always 1A. We know prices. Very clean and very nice staff.

Best Starbucks branch in the region! I order my latte to go here every morning. Simply a brilliant team, always super friendly, takeaway always extremely punctual and 100% customer-oriented. Everyone here is ready to go the extra mile for the customer, thank you very much!

Your standard Starbucks with all your standard drinks, snacks, comfy chairs and wifi access right at the central train station.

Amazing place; As an exchange student, I find it easy and comfortable to talk to the workers there as they can speak really good english! Their opening hours are also very convenient as many stores in Switzerland close early.

Almost 7.- CHF for a dried out ciabatta roll with “chicken”, which tastes reminiscent of an ice cube and the consistency is more like a dry biscuit. Zero spice, so tough my jaw hurts and as a bonus incompetent staff who somehow only spoke poor English. Even a star is too flattering, you definitely don't deserve one. Get a handful of soil from the florist upstairs, you'll have more taste for the same price!

I ordered an iced chai latte SMALL. That was 1/2 liter. Unfortunately also way too sweet (I like sweet). And paid 7.50 for it.

Nice Starbucks with friendly employees. And if you ask nicely you will also get a coin for the toilet :)

Basically, I think it would be good if we used fewer disposable cups. But for an expensive coffee that costs 7-8 euros, I find it outrageous to pay another 10 centimes for the cup. That should be included, in my opinion.

I found the staff totally unfriendly, there was even no greeting. Additional sales were also missing, no wonder the store is always empty.

Pumpkin speech is my favorite. Only 3 stars because I think the prices are exaggerated. 7.80 Fr for a coffee is too much.

Starbucks: primarily coffee drinks in all possible variations at a relatively high price - but the logo cup in your hand is a stylish accessory 😉. The selection is quite large, the variants and customization options can be a bit confusing. Unfortunately, I don't find the decor in this branch particularly inviting. The entrance is already hidden in the dark corner and the lighting concept would be more suitable for a bar. A pity.

When you pay CHF 15 for an espresso and a "Christmas coffee" with cream, I really feel like I'm in Hollywood...

Large selection of cafes. Unfortunately a bit too expensive for my taste. But otherwise quite fine.

No own toilet, you can get a token for the SBB toilet on request.

Modern Starbucks, unfortunately the typical ambience is missing here. Everything was nice and clean, but it seemed kind of cold. The croissant was tasty but way too fatty.

I had A wafle and a drink at Starbucks in the station in St. Gallen, it was delicious! The envoirment is also chill with nice music, il be returning to get the same drink and waffle!

Card system failing, waiter didn't understand what I was asking for (and was giving unclear instructions), the floor was dirty next and under the seats, and there were a bunch of flies bothering every 5 seconds. Not the best ambiance to enjoy a coffee

Big seating area, warm & friendly staff and efficient service. It was an unusually hot day and they had AC!

It is a nice new place. Maybe a bit dark but it let's you relax quite a bit. The new one also is quite good to cool down in summer since it is below ground. The interior looks very neat. Service is fast and friendly although in rush hours you need to expect queues. There are sockets and USB plugs everywhere so it is a nice place to learn and work aswell.

Sometimes the wait was longer at the train station, but otherwise friendly service.

They don't let you use the restroom and tell you to use the paid restroom at the train station. It's absurd.

Better than expected but expensive.

The new Starbucks branch in the new underpass is stylishly furnished and invites you to linger. It is rather cool, but within a very pleasant range. The drinks are served quickly, the service is somewhat exotic and very friendly, as is typical of Starbucks. Despite the location, it is very quiet and the usual “coffee house” music is playing. Really ideal for reading a book or studying. The only minus is the lack of a toilet. Maybe it would be possible to introduce tokens that allow you to use the toilet without having to pay a fee?

Had to get on the train. We waited, the waitress chatted with each other instead of serving us after we asked. So they left again.

Waited 2 minutes (a reasonable amount of time if you have to get on the train), no service anywhere to be seen.

Starbucks, brought relaxation and recovery to me. You can withdraw and be for yourself. You can also communicate with people depending on how you feel. 🙂

When I sit down for a coffee, I also expect to be able to use the toilets there and when I asked, I was only directed to the station toilet, which I had to pay for myself. As if I didn't already pay enough for coffee and this Starbucks just opened this summer. What a sloppy job!

Very nice Starbucks. Brand new. Cozy. Friendly staff. I like it very much. The train station sounds cannot be heard. One star deducted because it doesn't have a toilet. You have to go to platform 1 and pay Fr.1.- there. And for the price, unfortunately the toilets aren't really clean.

Great place. The guy working overthere was very polite, Canadian. I felt like I was in American movie or something. He spoke Hochdeutsch (clear German) and he helped me not to feel like the only one.

Nice place to eat, drink some coffee and wait for your train. It also has good wifi connection, so if you are not from St.Gallen (like me), yo can contact everyone you need. Prices are a little high though - Starbucks in general aren't cheap, but this particular one is in Switzerland.

Just Starbucks. You can love him or hate him. The staff changes often. So it's usually a bit slow.

Typical Starbucks feeling to it. I was there near lunch time and there was plenty enough of available seating.

Actually everything was very good, especially the friendly staff. However, you shouldn't save on heating costs for a cozy café. 90% of the guests are wearing winter jackets (including me, although I'm usually not sensitive to the cold).
