Stefanie's Creperie in Zermatt

This lady clearly lacks a lot of professionalism, is very unfriendly and gloomy. Furthermore, from what Madame tried to make us understand, it is that she has a problem with the French language! We need to change jobs if we don’t like what you do, ma’am! We have been going to Zermatt for 2 years, we will not forget to keep our positivity by avoiding this boring creperie. However, the pancakes are ordinary, but good.

Came for a quick takeout lunch for our train back. Had a lovely experience - we got the mushroom crepe with ham and sour cream and the toblerone crepe. The service was super friendly and the food was so good! Really hits the spot - cash only

1 star because we walked all the way to your establishment and you only accept Swiss Frank. We have been using credit card throughout our trip in Switzerland and its very unfortunate that we were turned away. Very disappointed.

Crepe was good but the lady was rude

There is actually nothing better than eating a Toblerone crepe while looking up at the Matterhorn. I mean, come on. I don’t know what Stephanie is putting in these, but they’re addictive. A cute little hole-in-the-wall (literally, you order through a window) place with options from sweet to savoury.

Be prepared to wait at least 15 mins even if the queue is short as she can only deal with one order at a time. She is generous with the ingredients but the crepe itself is not great - chewy and sticks to the plate. Also, the crepe is not hot enough so expect some ingredients to be cold, particularly the savoury ones. Not worth queueing for.

Hot chocolat is a fraud...crepes are normal...and very expensive

The worst experience I’ve ever had. From the beginning the owner Stephanie treated us really disrespectful and we could see she was being xenophobic. The place doesn’t accept card and charge you more if you pay in euro. The crepe is normal. Nothing delicious. And to complete our experience, she was selling hot chocolate that was expired, the milk was smelling and tasting really bad and when we kindly asked her to change for a new one she refused and said we were lying. So I really don’t understand how this person keep this business in the middle of an important street of Zermatt. Stephanie, you should treat all the customers good, independent of the nationality!!!

I was extremely mistreated by the owner of the creperie. She sold me a hot chocolate that was spoiled, I politely asked to exchange it, she didn't want to exchange it and said I was lying and sent me away from the establishment. And the crepe was one of the worst I've ever eaten. I didn't expect this kind of treatment in a tourist city, especially in Switzerland.

Didn't get to try it because it was closed despite Google maps saying it was open, and it being during the time it is "often" open. Apparently she just comes and goes as she pleases. 🤷‍♂️

Wish there were some chairs outside so we could pause for a few minutes to enjoy the wonderful crepe! Ordered a savory crepe with mushroom and spinach - incredibly fresh ingredients that was well seasoned to perfection

They don’t take cards (cash only) and the line is long and doesn’t move fast - but it is definitely worth it!

Was here back in 2022, the sun was setting on Zermatt, there was a long queue, could have sworn i saw a guy dressed as santa riding a horse drawn carriage down the street past the store. Lady making the crêpes was really nice and she made those crêpes real quick.

Very nice crepe! We really enjoyed it! You can choose any combination from the menu and also you can do your own combinations. They only accept cash! Also very good service! I would recommend that you ask to make it crispy so the dough is crunchy!

Very affordable tasty crepes, make a great quick meal or dessert. Did wish they had more sitting area though! We where a party of 5 and only one of us could sit down

It's an out of the window Crêperie. It's charming and the women that work there are absolutely lovely. You have to catch a time when it's not being overrun, because the line can be really long at times because this place is amazing. It's cash only , that can upset some people but I can understand why they do that.

Very rude girl at the desk who mocks customers with others if they do not get cash for payment. In 2023 where everything is cashless, probably it’s time for you to get a card machine.

Place is CASH ONLY in 2023, due to "lack of Internet signal". Seriously? All other places around are offering card payments. Very rude worker, mocked me with other customers for not having my card with me to withdraw from nearby bank. Food might be the best ever, but I will NEVER give them a go.

A small cute little shop along Zermatt shopping street. Expect some waiting time as the shop is mended by one lady. There are a variety of savoury and sweet crepes to choose from. We ordered the Mushroom crepe and it was not bad. Only cash (CHF or euro) is accepted. The shop owner even gave us a free toblerone for picking up rubbish on the floor. Very kind of her. Recommended!

Solid crepes at a steal of a price! You probably won't find cheaper food in Zermatt unless you go to value menus at McDonald's and these crepes are waaaaay better than those burgers. Are they the best crepes ever? Nope, but they're good and will save you tons of money eating in Zermatt. Try the savory ones or Stefanie's favorite, the sugar and lemon.

Ordered the salted caramel butter crepe for 10CHF. The crepe itself was decent but compared to a simple crepe (6CHF), all we got was a few drizzles from a store-bought bottle of salted caramel butter flavouring, which means the drizzle of flavouring cost 4CHF. If you’re craving a crepe, I recommend you get the cinnamon sugar or another cheaper option rather than paying 4CHF extra for very little. Server was very kind.

Located on the main shopping street of Zermatt. This little kiosk makes good crèpes with lots of different options (savory and sweet). It’s cash only and there is no seating available. So it’s perfect of you want a Quick lunch or snack. The savory crêpes looks very generous. We had a cinnamom sugar that was a lovely sugar spike after a hike.

Sensational crepe! Huge selection and fair prices. I recommend the chocolate filling from Lindt & Sprüngli. The very friendly owner serves very personally. Simply great!

Love it and good taste but long queue..

The owner and some of the younger workers are extremely rude with loads of attitude. As sn example I arrived at 8:50 today to order with my daughter and when the customer in front of me said they had the last order, I was disappointed without being confrontational. For some reason, the woman working there felt obliged to lecture me that there was a sign that inducated 20:50 as the last order. We got into an argument where both of us were lunpleasant. My guess is she has no idea about customer service which requires a level of flexibility. Hopefully they will have less robotic people serving customers in the future. Savory crepes are average but the sweet ones are quite good. Won’t be going back if the same people are working there though.

A small creperie with a window to order and no tables. But the most delicious crepes and an incredible value. The savory crepe completely satisfied a very hungry tummy. Only downside is may have to wait in a line.

Great crepes, both sweet and savory. Had the cheese/ham/spinach, cheese/ham/tomato, chili chocolate and grand marnier orange brandy, all very good! Owner was very friendly and thoughtful, e.g she gave a child the crepe in its packaging with an additional serviette wrapped around it so that it’s not too hot for the child

DIY Savoury Crêpe with Ham, Cheese, Mushroom. 1 of 3 “street food” I found at Zermatt (ice cream and the other one being a wurst stand). This was satisfying filling for me and I like the many variety of mushrooms in my crêpe (sorry no fillings shot as I was too hungry).

OMG for this crepes, go basic with a ham and cheese and don’t miss the salted caramel one…they only accept cash though

Owner is quite in good mood, she play music along with non stop working. Crape was soft with good smell. There was an menu in English, easy to order.

Very bad attitude. Ordered a pancake, which was basically flour and water, almost without any eggs with 3 atoms of Nutella literally. The pancake was served with a nice "go back to Serbia" goodbye. Why to Serbia?I really don't know. I am not from there. Stefanie, that is not how you do it.

The vendor has a sullen face. The dough is soft, filled with strawberry, Nutella, and apricot. The dough is delicious. Most of the Thai people come in long queues. Eat the most delicious Thai crepes. One filling costs 6 francs. If you want cheese, it's 16. Come and try it.

It is a lovely place right in the heart of Zermatt. The crepes are very famous so there is a long line tha keeps you waiting for arround 30 to 45 minutes. The wait is worth it. They only accept cash. There is also a tiny place inside where you can sit, but there is only room for two or three people.

There was a long line and reading the good reviews in google, I expected it to be good. However, this doesn't meet my expectations at all. The crepe was very soggy and didn't have any taste on it.

Crepe was good however mine was long. I’d recommend a salty crepe with ham or mushrooms. I got the fondue cheese crepe and it wasn’t as fondue as I was expecting. Long line given one person works two crepe machines.

Fantastic local Crepe by local Zermat chef. Once you have tried, you will think about revisting right away. Highly reccommend if you're visiting Zermat. Thank you chef Stefanie for warm and comfort welcome to both of us. We will definitely revisit if we come to Zermat again.

The best crepes in Valais, or even in Switzerland! With an adorable welcome to boot. It is unimaginable for us to come to Zermatt without visiting him at least once a day.

My daughter wants to go back even after waiting for 30 minutes. waiting It's fun to go and eat cheap crepes for fun. For 10 francs, it's a good snack in Zermatt, where there's nothing to eat.

Looks incredible - they no longer serve gluten free crepes though after 20 years because someone with celiac couldn’t understand that there’s an obvious chance of contamination and complained about getting sick from here. What a shame. Waited in line for an hour for gluten free crepes id been talking about for 2 days and couldn’t have them. Leaving this review for future gluten free visitors. Otherwise they looked and smelled absolutely divine.

Nothing special, ordinary pancakes..

Yum yum yum. We enjoyed our crepes so much and it was worth the wait in line. I did ask for light spinach and it was a bit much and needed a lot of salt. I also would have done about half the Nutella and half the caramel in our sweet crepes. Cash only.

We had the most amazing strawberry jam crepes here today. They were delicious! Next time we’re going to try cinnamon and sugar. Hopefully they are equally tasty but easier to eat.

It is not logical to lineup 75mins for crepes unless it is your daughter Christmas wish. Everything is prepared by one person and she is kind, friendly, and patiently making crepe after crepe after crepe. Good business and can imagine if she has 1 helper. After waiting so long, we had to try a toblerone, a mushroom ham & cheese, and a Grand Marniere. We are crepe-d out. Eat hot!

Delicious and Nutritious. Family owned and everything is fresh and right off the farm. Four hours is spent prepping the ingredients for the day. I ate her in 2018 and again in December of 2022. Their is always a line, so get there early. Friend service and wholesome and fresh ingredients. Definitely a place for lunch and dinner. Follow the owners directions about using a knife and fork (wood so good for the environment..) some dishes are messy, but oh so worth it. Eat on one of the street seats/benches. The hot chocolate was out of this world, made with local milk and a bar of chocolate that melts into the hot milk in a minute or so. Just the hot chocolate is worth the long line. Definitely worth the wait in line. Go for it! My mom loved it too!

A mixed opinion.. was something new to try cheese fondue savoury crepe.. not a big fan but just my choice otherwise cute little nice shop..

2/5 is still a generous score, from a crepe that costs 13 chf i expect more, instead what i got was something hard to describe, overloaded with caramel to the level that makes entire dessert uneatable and it spoiled the moment when landing in trash, to say i am disappointed is like to say nothing

Delicious crepes! Best way to end a ski day is with Stephanie's crepes. During our three day stay in Zermatt we got crepes here every day. Place is cash only and the line can get long, but for good reason. My favorite was the salmon crepe add spinach.

Didn't take a photo of my crepe but it was simple and delicious. I don't think some reviewers understand what crepes are or where they are in terms of price point. It is a small, local establishment. The cook was gracious enough. I ordered a lemon and sugar crepe and my sister a toblerone one.

One of the crepes I eat here , really it was delicious , i take it with nutall only for 8 Frank .. the lady’s how made the crepe ‘s was very nice and her smile attract me ♥️

It's a mixed bag in my opinion. We ordered 7-6 carapes (all sweet). I didnt like mine too much but some were better according to others. My crepe was the Toblerone one, and although I really liked the batter the ratio of the Toblerone was a bit too much and wasn't very different from a Nutella one 🤷. Price is high, especially when you think and realize how cheap are the ingredients for this. There is almost always a line, so it can take 10-15 minutes as they have only two crepe machines. The place itself is tiny and orders are done through a window, also there is no place to seat (except the two chairs inside). The service can be better (the owner / employee had a slight attitude problem). If you need a quick bite at the end of the day when places are closing, I think its a good alternative. But during the day when you have other options maybe try something else.

One of the best Nutella crepes we’ve had. And the smile on this welcoming young lady preparing the crepes in a “one man show” process adds a nice touch to the very tasty crepes. Recommended if you visit Zermatt.

QUITE DISAPPOINTED! Unfortunately we couldn't taste anything as Stephanie decided to close earlier than stipulated 3 times on wall and door. We arrive at 9:45pm and on the front of store it says she takes the last order at 9:50pm. When our turn came it was 9:47pm and she said that she just had served the last order.

This is by far one of the best crepe we ever had ! It’s really well placed, in front of their Zermathoff hotel. You will easily find it by the long queue all day long in front of it ! The Nutella banane crêpe is delicious. Totally worth the wait

I would rate this creperie at least 13 stars, for its incredibleness.First, your greeted by an irresistible whiff that you just must say “mmmm!”.Then, the perfect texture of the perfect width of the crepes meets your mouth.All your toppings fuse together creating a creamy, perfected taste combined with the nicest crepe. The service was excellent, the chef cooked professionally in front of my eyes.She was friendly and kind, and even accepted euros!Whats more, the crepes were at an acceptable price and totally worth more. She put the perfect amount of Nutella, a swirly whip of the most amazing whipped cream and sprinkled some sugar just about nailing perfection.She took no time at all, but still handled the crepes deep with care. I couldn’t be happier, these are just about the best crepes in my life - SwissStyle! Wonderful crepes worth the 35 minute wait and the lady was so nice to my son and made the crepes beautiful a wonderful taste cold wait warm crepe.

If I could give Stefanie more stars, I would! I’ve been coming to her creperie for 18 years! My favorite is the plain crepe w powdered sugar, but she also has some savory ones or some with chocolate and fruit. Cash ONLY!! But worth every franc ;) Thank you, Stefanie! Much love from the States!

A wide range of crepes both sweet and salty at reasonable price. It's a great place for on the go food as you walk the streets of Zermatt. Usually you will find a small queue Please note this place accepts only cash but there is an ATM nearby.
