Steiner-Beck, Café Postplatz in Arosa

We wanted to eat breakfast there on a Sunday, but then left the café without food. First of all, we were ignored for a long time and guests who came to the café after us were served first. Only after we called the staff ourselves did someone come. We wanted to order two hot sandwiches. Since you couldn't customize these (remove the spicy salami from the caprese sandwich), we only ordered one. Plus a small breakfast and Bircher muesli. The drinks came relatively quickly - we probably waited at least 15 minutes for the food. That means AFTER 15 minutes the waitress came and said they no longer had the hot sandwich we ordered. That can happen, but then you could inform earlier, and not AFTER 15 minutes! We then told him that we didn't want any of what we ordered and that we didn't want to pay. She still brought the small breakfast, which we then refused and asked for the bill again. So we left the café without food. Very disappointing!

Very friendly and attentive service. I can highly recommend it. The surprise for the birthday brunch was well received :-) We are already looking forward to our next visit when we are back in Arosa!

We enjoyed a delicious lunch and received excellent service from our waiter, Luciano. The cappuccinos were exceptional in taste and presentation. Prices were very reasonable for a ski resort location such as Arosa. This was our second time eating here and it will not be our last.

The café offers an impressive selection of specialties that will delight every palate. The coffee was rich and flavorful, and the pastries were fresh, delicious and of the highest quality. I was particularly excited by the variety of options on offer. It is clear that Café Postplatz attaches great importance to the selection and preparation of its products. However, what really made the visit unforgettable was the super friendly staff. From the moment I entered until the moment I left I felt warmly welcomed. The staff was extremely attentive and helpful, always willing to answer questions and make recommendations. The positive and welcoming atmosphere created by the staff really enriched my stay. I can only warmly recommend Café Postplatz. It's the perfect place to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee, snack on a pastry and be pampered by a friendly team. I will definitely come back and look forward to enjoying the excellent products and first-class service again.

Nice tearoom in the center of Arosa Village. They have a large choice of cake slices. The one I had (white chocolate and raspberry) was very tasty. It is also possible to dine in. Good Selection of chocolates, candies, Grisons walnut pie and other products to take away. Friendly staff.

I like Widmer’s Café on Postplatz 👍! In addition to bread and rolls, the bakery and patisserie counter also has delicious baked goods. The Engadine nut cake is good and the homemade pralines were really tasty! Then I had lunch too, really delicious! Despite being busy, the service was friendly! I can only recommend it, whether for coffee and something sweet or for a small lunch!

We were there today for coffee and cake. Unfortunately neither coffee nor cake were good. The apple strudel was very mushy, the vanilla sauce was too runny and the Sachertorte was extremely dry. It's a shame, because the coffee makes a good impression and the service was very friendly.

Very nice bakery and café with super delicious baked goods. The perfect detour to relax your soul after the hike. The views of the mountains and the lake are wonderful. The dishes on offer, such as Älpler macaroons, are also perfect. I can only recommend a visit.

For a bakery, the food (cakes and apple strudel) wasn't overwhelming. The apple steudel tastes like it was baked goods from a major distributor... Various. Alprestaurnts have better apple strudel that is significantly fresher.

Nice café/shop in a great location. The quality of the baked goods is very good. The operation, on the other hand, should give a lot more gas for my standards.

Very well designed cafe. The staff is very friendly and fun for everyone. If you take the train to Arosa, the journey is no further than 1 minute. Simply great!

We came in and were warmly greeted. The smell was very inviting and we simply couldn't resist the pleasure of a coffee and croissants. Afterwards we were able to wait undisturbed. We would love to come back because if you are in Arosa you have to visit this café!!!

I actually only went to Arosa to pay for my vacation in a hotel and to see what I was getting myself into. The hotelier personally recommended that I eat here because everything is always fresh and the service is incredibly friendly. Of course I couldn't resist this recommendation and as soon as I was in the café and chose a small table with the necessary distance, which was certainly measured and maintained accordingly, I was asked in an extremely friendly manner about what I would like to consume. I asked for the menu and it was explained to me a bit first and there were also very special and other delicious things that were not on the menu and I said that I would like to take my time. They left me completely alone and I was able to read everything one by one and then decided on Älplermagronen. But the salad beforehand was an absolute poem and the taste was absolutely sensational! Not only beautifully prepared, but wonderfully fresh and not ice cold from the fridge, but really bite-sized in temperature and therefore also excellent in taste. And the main meal was of course quite hearty, but you decided on it and it tasted exactly the same as my grandmother would have made it 40 years ago and that made me extremely happy and of course brought back some wonderful memories. So all in all I can more than recommend this and I'm looking forward to my holidays where I'll probably prefer to eat here one or two times rather than in the hotel to try out this fantastic service and the very fresh dishes one after the other at costs. It was a real pleasure for me because I received absolutely top-class service and then I identified myself at the end and said that there would be a very, very good report here because I was incredibly satisfied! Please just keep it up.

A cozy café with a lot of ambience that invites you to linger. The price-performance ratio is great, because the products from the bakery and pastry shop are simply good and taste fantastic. In this regard, I recommend the Quiche Lorrain and the Arosa bread. It was also nice that there was a small book corner for the children, so we adults could chat comfortably after dinner. Because it is so close to the valley station of the Weisshornbahn, it is also worth grabbing a warm lunch there. Definitely more relaxed than in the crowded restaurants within the ski area. I particularly recommend the Älplermagrone, it fills you up and tastes great. If you wish, you can also easily get a little more cheese or applesauce. We'll be happy to come back as a family on our next ski and sled weekend. :-)
