Very good cuisine and attentive service!

Beautiful well-kept restaurant. It has a great view of the Swiss mountains and the price/performance is completely fine. It is also recommended for children as it has a large playground and a playroom downstairs.

Went to the Stelzenhof restaurant on a busy lunchtime. Unfortunately, there are only a few vegetarian options and sorry, but "meatless" really shouldn't be used as a term for a vegetarian dish these days. My rösti rolls were okay, but unfortunately I just lacked a bit of creativity overall. The “winter garden” is not exactly very beautiful but it is functional. However, the staff was very friendly! All in all, I think it would be great if Stelzenhof offered slightly more attractive options for vegetarians.

Although there were many guests, the staff tried to serve those present as quickly as possible and as soon as the tables were left, they were given over to new customers who were usually already waiting to be cleared, etc.

Spätzli pan is served with a standard carbonara sauce. It's a shame about the side dishes that were perfectly cooked. Shortly after eating we all had to use the toilet!!!

We come here very often just to have a drink but also sometimes to eat something. This is the second time we've had our food oversalted, which wasn't great. We actually really like being here because it's a nice restaurant with a great view. It was a bit disappointing that people who came after us were served before us and we had to wait almost 15 minutes to be served. Maybe we're just looked at as second class. I don't know.

We had dinner here relatively spontaneously on August 1st. The welcome was warm, a nice table for two at the edge of the somewhat large restaurant hall gave us a nice view. The buffalo mozzarella and the sliced ​​tomatoes tasted excellent, the Gschnätzlets with pasta and vegetables tasted excellent and the fresh fruit salad rounded the whole thing off nicely. We were surprised by the moderate prices and the attentive service, despite the restaurant being full, and we can wholeheartedly recommend this excursion restaurant.

Fine food at, in my opinion, reasonable prices. Very nice location on Ottenberg, above Weinfelden. Depending on where you sit in the restaurant (or outside), you get a little more or less of the view 😉 The service was very attentive, friendly and accommodating. 😃👍🏻

Terrible and unfriendly service! We made reservations two weeks in advance and mentioned that we would like to sit outside when the weather is nice. The weather was great on that day, but the operation only took place indoors - we found out when we arrived. As soon as we walked in with our little 2kg Maltese, we were not told in a friendly way that the dog was not allowed. You could say: “Hello. Please excuse me, but unfortunately dogs are not allowed here.” - No.. they just said “dogs are not allowed”. The employee didn't ask for the names and just turned her back to us. We then said we could sit outside. She said cheekily: “There is no service outside.” We made reservations outside, we mentioned. Her response was: “I don’t care. You have to leave the dog in the car.” On a hot July day, leaving the dog in the car was not an option for us and we were also taken aback by the unfriendly manner of the staff. We weren't even given a goodbye. No more.

Why the Stelzenhof restaurant is still so popular remains a mystery to me. After a six-year break in visits, the service is still just as superficial, indifferent and poor. In addition, there is food in portions that neither fill you up nor make you happy. It's incomprehensible why this restaurant wants to provide such quality. A pity.

Great hosts, humane prices. Environment and ambience great. Even if the sun isn't shining, it's a nice experience early in the morning at the May dance with taxi dancers.

Just drank a coffee cream. It was horrible, completely scalded, the water was way too hot and the coffee aroma was destroyed. In the end you only drink a hot, light brown broth.

When we got the bill, we were very surprised at the CHF 2.50 for a 3 DL glass of tap water. This price is simply unreasonable, especially when ordering this glass, the service didn't say a word about it costing anything, and then so much. We and others would certainly agree with 1.00 francs, but it wouldn't be that overpriced. I have paid many painters for tap water in Switzerland and also in Kontanz, but never, ever this much. We will think about whether we will consume anything here again. The disappointed visitors Kurt and Marlis from Berg.

We were in the Stelzenhof twice. It is very loud and sometimes you couldn't hold a conversation. The dishes on offer were not very imaginative and were in the upper price segment. We were at the Stelzenhof in October. We were looking forward to game, but that wasn't there. We were also there in December and the menu was the same again. Sometimes you only got certain dishes on a certain day. The food itself was good.

The location is really great! The food was also quite good, although the selection of vegetarian dishes was very limited. There is no such thing as vegan - the kitchen probably refuses. I didn't find the service outstanding. It seems to be clear that the store doesn't rely on customers.
