We had decided on a special evening to finally visit the stars. We have reserved in the more exclusive part. Unfortunately they had a mix-up with the booking and we were seated at a corner table. The greeting from the manager was cool, the service was friendly but nothing special (we would have expected explanations of the menu). There were long waiting times. The food was generally good, although unfortunately some of it was very salty. Conclusion: we had expectations and were very disappointed. If there are any stars again at all, then in the front part of the room.

We came to Badstube during the week and not many tables were full. We dined inside, and the main room is beautiful, but small. You will see an impressive wine collection when you enter. The service was attentive and adequate, but a bit impersonal. We had the seasonal menu. The food was well prepared and presentation is straightforward. I was expecting to be more surprised by the dishes. Wine list is great, with many options to choose from. Overall, we had a good dinner, but I had higher expectations.

However, the restaurant has 1 Michelin star, and in my opinion the food cant quite keep up with other 1 star restaurants that I know, so there is room for improvement!

Enjoy your meal. Unfortunately, the waiting time from ordering to eating is a bit too long. On average it takes 30-45 minutes. In the summer in the garden it takes even longer. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

We were invited to a wedding and our first time in this restaurant. As soon as you enter, you'll notice the beautiful orchid decorations that run through all the corridors. The hall on the first floor, which was reserved for the wedding party, is very impressive and the lamps made of deer antlers create the charm of a hunting lodge. The service was very friendly and unobtrusive and the food was excellent! We were able to enjoy the festival to the fullest and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The toilet facilities were also clean and well maintained. Thank you very much for the lovely stay!

I was only here for lunch, but it was very good. There is a selection of different lunch menus. I chose the fish with fregola sarda. The portion was large, the fish was cooked perfectly and the pasta was tasty. Fairly priced and reasonable for a lunch menu. The service was quick and friendly.

This restaurant actually offers top-class cuisine in the bathroom. The waiter was extremely friendly. Unfortunately, given the prices, I also place very high demands on the service and cannot accept that the not exactly small, empty serving plates of amuse bouche, bread and butter were left lying all over the place in the middle of our table during the main course. The bathroom is nice to look at, but the acoustics are so "good" due to the vault that the conversation at the table opposite drowned out our own several times. So the whole thing was very loud, not really comfortable. Nevertheless, we will come back, we still have to test the restaurant with the corresponding menu!

We ate there in the restaurant yesterday full of anticipation. There is also a gourmet restaurant in the same building. Our plan was, before we enjoyed a menu there for over CHF 160.00, to first try out the other restaurant in the same building. Unfortunately we were completely disappointed! The dining room is very narrow and crammed together, 6 people share a table. Well, we thought, it would be “comfortable” and good too. Unfortunately we found disappointing: Service is a disaster. 3 people who took turns serving us understood German very poorly. It's just a bit stupid when we have to repeat everything three times and there are no comments when we ask questions. Small example: Plates were cleared away without a word, dessert menu was simply handed out without comment, no one ever asked for more drinks, no bread was refilled, every plate was always passed ACROSS the table and always standing on someone's feet - how can you tell not serve from the guest side? Completely ok and normal in a mountain hut... But in a restaurant where the two of us ate for over Fr. 150.00, a bit strange. Quality of the food OK, but nothing more. Salad as a starter with smoked meat for Fr. 21.00 was tasteless, not spectacular, a few rolled pieces of meat on it and quikore salad. Easy, but no surprise. Nut salad is also a bit boring. Things got better with the extra salt and pepper we ordered. Skin course veal cordon bleu good, vegetables oversalted, small portion for a high price. Beef tartare was ok but you could get better in many other places. Dessert was by far the best! Thanks for that and the evening was saved a bit. Conclusion: If that doesn't bother you, that the waiter doesn't understand you very well, you don't want to pay a lot for good but nothing special food and you don't mind that it's served like in a ski hut, then that's fine. We had a great meal Evening at a restaurant with these recommendations and price range presented something different. We'll leave the visit to the gourmet restaurant open for now, but we might stop by there anyway as a comparison. This is the only way we can finally form an opinion.

I have rarely been so disappointed by a visit to a restaurant. Based on the reviews on the Internet and TV, as well as the fact that there is a gourmet restaurant in the same building, I would definitely have expected a strikingly better experience in the restaurant. Unfortunately, neither the service nor the food were convincing. At the beginning we were served in a friendly and competent manner by a younger gentleman who obviously mainly ensures the service in the bathroom. Later the service was non-existent when it should have been taken over by other employees. We always had to refill both wine and mineral water ourselves. Now about the food: The mixed salad we chose was of good quality and attractively presented. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the main course, for which we had to wait a full hour. The food was served cold. The presentation is absolutely unworthy of a restaurant and a menu that costs CHF 36. We ordered veal cordon bleu, French fries, vegetables and Züri schnitzel with rösti. I think the pictures I uploaded speak for themselves. The fries were carelessly thrown over the completely tasteless vegetables that had been pulled out of the water. We had to return the plates to at least get fresh and warm fries. Unfortunately the meat was dry afterwards. The plate also looked like it would be in a canteen or a ski/mountain restaurant. After my complaint we were not charged for the plates - chapeau for the professional behavior. Nevertheless, we will never visit this house again and certainly none of my friends will either. It's a shame actually, because we would have liked to try out the bathroom on a second visit.

Just as described on the website: the wooden floor creaks, wooden chairs, wine on a slate - just like in old times. The menu is relatively small, but everything on offer is prepared to a high standard: cordon bleu is excellent, beef paillard is fried to perfection, the sea bream is a dream. The homemade cream slice with fresh berries topped it off! The staff is extremely friendly and competent, not intrusive but always very attentive. The price/performance ratio is very fair, the wine prices are moderate. It's been a long time since we felt as comfortable in a restaurant as we did here at Sternen and we can highly recommend it. Thank you for the lovely evening – we will definitely be back!

We always stop by for lunch and have never been disappointed. The terrace on the village square is cozy and the restaurant is homely. Certainly the best choice in the area and beyond a few villages. The only thing that isn't exactly fun is that they're currently working on the well next door with a jackhammer and you can hardly understand a word. But the restaurant can't do anything about it and hopefully this will be over soon.

Womo-Dinner war einfach super! Essen spitze - Service spitze 🤩 auch der Preis passt. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Gespannt studierten wir die interessante Speisekarte, um hier ein WohnmobilDinner zu geniessen und bestellten dann unser Essen. Vor Ort wurden wir freundlich empfangen. Die leckere Vorspeise stand schon bald auf dem Tisch. Wir mussten nie lange warten und wurden aufmerksam bedient. Die Hauptspeise war sehr gut (Pata Nega Backe und Entrecôte) und schön angerichtet. Eine Crèmeschnitte hätte für uns beide gereicht, das wissen wir fürs nächste Mal, aber auch die Pistazie, Quitte, Joghurt Variation möchten wir nicht missen. Sehr kreativ fürs Auge und den Gaumen! Auch die Übernachtung war angenehm. Den Sternen können wir somit sehr empfehlen. Wenn wir mal wieder in der Gegend sind, kommen wir gerne wieder. Vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft.

Man merkt, die Besitzer sind trotz den Einschränkungen mit ganzem Herzen dabei und haben ein super Take-Away Angebot auf die Beine gestellt. Superlecker!

Am vergangenen Samstag haben wir meinen Geburtstag "mit" dem Sternen in Wagen gefeiert (TakeAvay). Der Sternen hat für uns den Hauptgang und den Dessert zubereitet. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Klar wären wir lieber vor Ort gewesen, aber es war eine den Umständen entsprechende, sehr gute Alternative. Können wir 100%ig weiterempfehlen. Herzlichen Dank an das ganze Team. PS. Am Schluss haben wir noch festgestellt, dass das Verpackungsmaterial kompostierbar ist. Besser geht es nicht.

Hervorregend abgeschmecktes Kürbis-Schaumsüppchen zur Vorspeise und ein wunderbares Kalbs-Cordon-Bleu zur Hauptspeise. Es war für mich das erste Mal in der Gaststube, und ich freue mich schon auf ein nächstes Mal. Wenn ich könnte, würde ich dem Sternen in Wangen 6-Sterne geben.
