Strichbode in Amden

A surprise bag of goods from this Alpstübli. The boss of the house asked us to wait a bit, he would call his wife to come up with the fresh bread now so that he could make us our trapped. For us it was worth the wait, the sandwiches with ham sandwiches were very good. Nice place with a nice view and rustic furnishings just the way I like it.

Just right in the afternoon after hiking in the mountains: rustic, cozy and okay in terms of price.

Food was good but we paid more for the drinks than what was on the menu - bit dodgy for tourists. Food was also very over priced and we asked for a rosti but got fries instead. Views and atmosphere was great though.

We, a group of 12 people, stopped at Strichboden on August 22nd, 23 for an afternoon hike. We were warmly welcomed by Beatrice and due to the heat we immediately put up the large parasol! We received great service and enjoyed a selection of good beers as well as meat and cheese platters. Thank you very much for the cozy time with you⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A wonderful place to relax. You can feel the hospitality of the mountains and enjoy this with fine Chäsbrut or Älplerplatte with cheese and salt.

Alpine pub whatever your heart desires! When the weather is nice, bring a little patience - the hosts will do their best, but good things take time. Enjoy the view and something delicious on your plate (yes, it's seasoned - wonderful!). We have rarely been pampered more warmly...

The Galloway beef hamburger is not a hamburger as we know it in Germany, it is more of a large slice fried like hunting sausage and served with fries, as is unfortunately all too often the case in Switzerland, with too much salt. The service was nice and friendly.

Highly recommended alpine farming. Easy to reach on foot from the mountain station of the Mattstock chairlift. Very friendly and familiar service. The playground and petting zoo aren't just fun for children. Fine dishes, meat products also from our own animal husbandry. We always enjoy coming here.

Terrible service. 2 of our 3 plates were the wrong order and we asked for the check several times - with a crying toddler and crying baby who were both late for their naps at this point - and after 25 minutes I just left 100 francs on the counter and walked away. Food was okay, standard Swiss fare. Views were good, but not the best Mattstock has to offer.

It took more than an hour to prepare food and we considered to go away. Do not seat inside. The door to the restroom makes so big noise that you tired after 10 minutes.

A cozy alpine restaurant where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Alps. Ideal for strengthening yourself before a hike or for regenerating afterwards. The service in the Alpstübli is very friendly. The menu primarily offers a selection in which meat is the focus. The food was very tasty and the special house coffees are recommended. The restaurant can be reached on foot from the chairlift mountain station in about 10 minutes.

The food is really delicious. And the fact that you can rent these scooters and ride them down the mountain is awesome. It's a lot of fun. I can only recommend.

Staff very friendly, menu specializing in meat. The Rösti was out of the packaging, that's not possible. That may have been out of necessity, I can't judge that, but it would have been worth some information.

Alp Wirtschaft, 10 minutes walk from the chairlift mountain station. Access by car possible. Family atmosphere, very nice, courteous hosts. Delicious dishes and small snacks. Beef is highly recommended for meat eaters. Excellent!

Beautiful view of the Glarus Alps. Easily accessible from the mountain station chairlift. In max 15 minutes. Käsbrut was very good.
