Very friendly welcome and hospitality. Selection small but fine, selection of soup of the day (barley soup), grilled sausages, cheese/sausage platters, drinks. It's great that the Alp also makes a wonderful tour destination in winter with a range of restaurants.

Great atmosphere in the cowshed. Very friendly owners. The veal bratwurst was super tasty. We will be back definitely!

Beautiful. Great team. Self-service and good things from the grill as well as homemade cakes. We love being here!

Sun-drenched alpine farm with a wonderful view. Reachable in about 1 1/2 hours from the Arvenbüel car park. Self-service, grilled sausages, soup, cake or a plate, no one has to starve here. Open only over winter. A pleasant, relaxing refreshment stop after a lovely hike.

TipTop, beautifully located and there is what you expect…

From the Arvenbühl car park, a good hiking trail leads to the alpine farm at 1537m above sea level. and can be reached in just over an hour. The last section is steep but the view of the Glarus Alps and the Churfirsten chain is even better.

Improvised alpine farming. Large terrace with a stall where drinks, sausages and snacks must be ordered and picked up at a counter (self-service). Great view of Säntis, Churfirsten, Gulmen. Friendly staff :-) Wonderful to reach in winter in just under an hour from Amden-Arvenbühl on foot or with snowshoes on well-prepared paths. Photo taken about 8 minutes walk below the restaurant.

Very nice view, nice innkeepers, good grill...easy to reach on foot or with snowshoes in 1 1/2 hours from P Arvenbüel. Come again !

Just remember that you came here for the view and the nature. This is just a repurposed barn :) That being said, the tea / coffee are hot and so is the food, you can't ask for more. Oh, and there is a toilet!
