Suan Long in Zürich

My large family & I were very satisfied with the food, unfortunately the “boss”/service was unfriendly, didn't feel like working and was rude to us more than once. She wasn't stressed because a guest was there and my family, a service employee was also there, she was still nice, unfortunately she took a break so the "boss", who has been working here for a long time, had to serve us and we noticed that she didn't like doing that. We are also half Asian, we know our culture and we are half Swiss. Swiss expectations are not met here; from our Asian culture that would be a no go! When we asked for a spoon, she even complained to us and said that she is not worthy to serve so she shouldn't work in the restaurant industry. Since my family also runs a hotel and restaurant, we know what is okay and what is not okay at all. You should really value your food and hire a better server. It's a shame about Suan Long. The meal was excellent. We'll never come back and we'll spread the word!

Very tasty and friendly service

Good, fast and cheap. Perfect for every now and then to satisfy your hunger and fantasize about a short trip to Asia.

I ordered food from this restaurant on Uber Eats. The portions were extremely small and the food was way too spicy, barely edible. The Vietnamese hot and sour soup with shrimps was extremely sour, not edible, only had 2 shrimps and only half the can was filled.

Despite the bad rating, we gave this restaurant a chance and were not disappointed. Green curry with chicken was very tender. Lukewarm noodles with beef was very spicy. Pad Thai was good, but different from what you normally get, spicier and with too much sauce. But everything tasted good.

Very nice modern restaurant. The service is very attentive. The food was very good. The only point of improvement would be preheated plates, so the food stays warm longer. We'd love to come back!

The take away portions are VERY SMALL. The service was fast, the lady at the counter was kind and very helpful, but the portions are really small. It looks like a children's menu. I would have gladly returned due to the helpfulness of the staff, but I would return TOO hungry.

As far as shopping center restaurants go, this is a cut above the average. I went with a visiting Chinese friend and she loved the food. I appreciate that you can pick up a quick take out from the buffet if you're in a hurry or you can order from the menu and have table service. The staff is nice and the location is super convenient.

I got sick from the food, incompetent service. Not recommended other Suan Long restaurants in the area do a much better job.

I ordered for myself and my family. The food didn't come for a very long time, the courier said that the restaurant would take longer, when it arrived after 75 minutes (Zurich-Oerlikon, please note, less than 10 minutes from the restaurant) it was cold, inedible, things were missing, and in the dark -Rice, was something else that looked like a beetle or an insect. When I called, the person couldn't speak German or English. Very bad experience.

The restaurant is nice and the food is really Chinese, but the prices are a little high

I went to eat yesterday because I always pass by it, I took the Glas Nudeln spaghetti which you pay 5.50 more as a supplement and I had to order an extra portion of rice (and pay for it) because the portion of spaghetti was practically made for a baby, only vegetables. The wine had expired and I had it changed. I complain about that. Very disappointed

The owner and the severs are very kind and friendly. Tried their beef noodle soup and spicy shrimp rice and both were good!

We ordered on Just Eat and it took them 65 min to prepare the food and 25 min to deliver it (while being 750 m away). The food was almost cold, the size of portions and the quality of the food is not acceptable for the price. The rice was dry and clumpy, half of the “meat dish” was full of bell pepper chunks. And in general it looked like cantine food. Do not recommend! Just order Lilly’s kitchen next time.

Fantastic food, definitely one of the best restaurants in Oerlikon. In particular, the fried rice or the Szechuan chicken are highly recommended. There are always friendly and helpful staff on site.

The chicken (country of origin Switzerland) sweet-sour was very tasty. I took it home as a take-away. The prices are very fair for the portion (Chf 14.- for a normal portion, Chf 12.- for a small portion) for Zurich. I'd love to visit again.

The lady at the desk was very rude and upon my complaint she was even more incompetent and rude. On top of that, she treated my guest as if he doesn't know any language (he understand and speaks German perfectly and so do I). All in all, no tips from me. I used to go there frequently, but after that (and after reading the bug incident in the Goggle reviews): NEVER! I would advise others also not to go there. I will go to the asian take-away right around the corner in the same building, where they treat you well, instead.

Super nice service, good value for money.

The buffet dishes are okay, but a little weakly seasoned. But the price-performance ratio is perfect. The à la carte dishes taste completely different and much better. However, this also comes at a price, which I think is worth it. The service is always friendly. The current rating of 3.6 is incomprehensible to me.

There was a dead bug in the fried rice I ordered. The staff was incompetent, and lied that it was seafood. This was obviously not the case. And even if, it wouldn't have been declared. Health inspectors should see this place.

Very tasty food and very good conditions.

So it's a restaurant in the shopping center, but still very authentic. Service is very attentive and the food is really good. If I were here longer I would eat here again. It's worth it.

That was a "chicken" curry... Unfortunately it's not right, there was no piece of chicken in the curry, only vegetables. Bad customer service!!

I was very pleased with the Cambodian-style crispy chicken and the Sichuan soup. The ordering process was seamless via UberEats. I would really like to try other dishes. See you next time!
