Süd Bar in St. Gallen

When we wanted to go to the Süd Bar today and placed our order, the waitress rolled her eyes and said "we don't have time for that." It's a shame, we're sitting in a cult now.

I was very surprised by the nice servers and the cozy and pleasant atmosphere that also encouraged games or good conversations... the toilet was also clean and the beer was very good... it couldn't be better ✌️🐚

Actually a good bar, but the bouncer's performance last Saturday (January 6, 2024) was subpar, because of 2.3 dance steps you get thrown to the ground, I have no idea what kind of drugs he's taking, weak and a shame for an otherwise good bar👽🤭😎

The atmosphere is very nice, but the drinks are unfortunately not that good. The mulled gin was simply warm apple juice. The service was attentive. A nice bar in itself, but unfortunately you don't get anything for your money here. Very unfortunate

Visited the Süd Bar in St. Gallen and was impressed by the atmosphere and service. A great selection of drinks and a central location make this place a must when in town. Recommended for a relaxed evening with friends.

A place that is ideal for enjoying an after-work beer after a hard day at work is the Süd Bar. The interior is modern and very well maintained, which contributes to a pleasant atmosphere. The staff, mostly young and motivated, are extremely attentive and make you feel welcome.

Totally ok. There is also a smoking lounge.

Mostly well-attended bar with a large outdoor area. Toilets too small in comparison. Most of the time, queuing is required.

I ordered the three most awful and most expensive shots I've ever drunk (the other two were for a girl and her friend). Something that tasted like a very intense toothpaste. Other than that great place.

Fantastic bar, lovely staff and absolutely brilliant that free water is always available!! The noise from cars directly on the street is loud when you share a table with several people outside. Inside there is a beautifully designed bar that creates a cozy atmosphere.

I visit the Südbar very often with different people from my different circles of friends. The service is always very friendly. The drinks are very tasty. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right :).

As an exchange student this is the first bar I ever entered. Good vibes in general, and one of the rare place where you can opt to dance or speak with someone and still enjoy the music/understand the person you talk too. The quality of the music inside depends on the music you like (and the night) and which DJ is working. Some are just better at mixing than others. Only downside is the fact that the bar personal is extremely slow when making your drinks. It is not like they are doing nothing, they are simply really inefficient when working. But if you don't mind waiting 15 minutes for a order, no harm done. Therefore, a 4/5 it is. Definitely recommend visiting of you have never been.

Pretty nice bar but it often is overcrowded

Service very weak! Since there was no room left, we stood at the bar and waited 10 minutes. Waited for anyone of the 4 people behind the bar to even look at us. It wouldn't have been a problem to make eye contact for a moment and say, I'm coming straight to you...

A good concept, which is completely destroyed by the boss's aloofness. If the boss is of the opinion that he doesn't have to respond to the customers' input or complaints because "the place is full and the customers come one way or another", then he has misunderstood something.

Very rude staff. I will never visit this bar again and won't recommend it anyway. Barmaid feels like she's the hottest lady in the world and forgets that her salary comes from the guests. => kicked out, reason UNKNOWN

It's busy, so it sometimes takes a long time for the order to arrive. Otherwise it's very nice

Very rudely the gentleman with (Schwyz dialect?) pointed out that you can only order after registering using the QR code. But he hardly ever cleaned or disinfected dirty tables ;) otherwise always great, good drinks and friendly staff

Was there with friends and was served very unfriendly by the boss. When asked about it, she didn't care. Unfortunately, after written feedback, she still showed no understanding. A pity

It's a shame that it doesn't seem to be necessary here. When we paid, the boss didn't think it was worth standing with us for 2 minutes and splitting the bill. Even though she would have received more tips...

Pleasant atmosphere. You have to register via QR code or in writing if you want to have a drink there on site. I think that's great because of the current Corona crisis. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. After a while we asked if everything was okay and if there was anything else that could be done. Feel free to come back if I want to have a relaxed drink.

The beer tasted stale when I got it, I asked her if the keg was still fresh and she said yes. So guys, if you want a beer after a stressful day at work and don't feel like discussing the beer you bought, just go somewhere else, i.e. the bar.

Let me too many guests in, which doesn't benefit the "comfort". No light-colored dresses recommended. Great for being outside in summer with a beer garden. In winter with a mulled wine tent. The bar was definitely too crowded on the weekend...
