Food very good and staff very friendly

There were four of us and we ate very well. The restaurant is really recommended.

As soon as the order is placed, the request goes to the hunter, and a good 1.5 hours later it is on the plate. The food was great, but took a long time, and the price was appropriate. But it was definitely worth it. The staff was a bit strange.

A place where you can have quiet conversations in a nice atmosphere. The service is extremely courteous and friendly, the food is fantastic. Not quite central in the city center, but you shouldn't miss this place, it's always worth a visit. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Enjoyed the daily menu. Friendly service that didn't lose track despite the full house. We were able to move there when a spot in the garden area became available. Gladly again. Some noise from the intersection in front of the restaurant..

Very good restaurant but unfortunately not for every portfolio

My online reservation was lost, but we still got a super comfortable spot on the terrace. I really appreciated this and was grateful since it was my husband's birthday dinner. The service was excellent and very attentive, the food was delicious. At the end, my husband got a birthday candle on his dessert and even a surprise gift including a card. We had a wonderful evening to feel good and definitely come back. Dr Süder is highly recommended.

Excellent food. Completely exorbitant prices for tap water massively spoil the overall impression. We drank plenty of expensive wine, so there wouldn't be any extortion for the tap water.

We went to the restaurant when we arrived in town, but it was crowded and there were no tables available for the day. We made a reservation and went later. The food is sensational and the service is very attentive. Apparently, the place was once Michelin starred. Don't forget to try the meat tartare, incredible! Best restaurant of the trip! A beautiful summer evening in the garden of the restaurant. Very courteous service and good recommendations on wine. You can park right behind the restaurant, very convenient. You'll be happy to come back there.

We were in the south for my wife's birthday. What a joy: cozy table with flowers and happy birthday stickers, great pulpo as a starter with two types of white wine from Switzerland and Spain, then probably one of the best cordon bleu (tender meat and lots of Gruyère) and finally a moelleux au chocolat with fresh berries . There was even a small gift when we said goodbye. We will be back and I have already recommended the Süder to three people.

The food is regional, good quality and the focus is on the product. Everyone's tastes are different, so I don't want to make a judgment on that. For me, a successful evening not only includes high-quality food but also the ambience. It was extremely loud in the south and the tables were very close to each other. You couldn't have a quiet conversation. In addition, it took a very, very long time for the food to be served, between the starter and the main course it took significantly more than 1 hour. (We got to the restaurant at 6:35 p.m., the main course wasn't served until 8:45 p.m.). The waitress apologized for the long wait and said the kitchen was overloaded. If I hadn't chosen the menu, I would have left the restaurant after the main course. It really wasn't comfortable. The whole restaurant was full to the last seat and there was no option to sit at a quieter table. The table was beautifully decorated for the birthday, thank you for that. Because of the noise and the long waiting time, I deducted 2 stars, the 3rd because other restaurants with similar offerings have impressed me more, especially in terms of creativity in menu design, price-performance ratio, furnishings, etc.

Very good food. Very good service. Price/performance completely ok. O. The staff runs back and forth a lot and quickly. Speaks for the service. However, as a guest you can feel the time pressure of the service staff, which is why there is a deduction for the ambience.

We went here for a dinner a few days ago. We had a menu with 3/4 courses. The food was outstanding. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also relaxing. The staff was super friendly and attentive! Would definitely come back again.

The food was good. However, one part of the restaurant was fully occupied and therefore very unpleasantly loud. It is incomprehensible that the other part of the restaurant is only set until the very last seat in the front part is occupied. The staff seemed very stressed and made the atmosphere even more uncomfortable. It's a shame you couldn't enjoy the food. It's not quite spring yet at the end of February, so cucumber salad doesn't quite fit in with a seasonal meal.

Great food and service, but relative expensive

Excellent cuisine with a well-balanced taste and a harmonious atmosphere despite the extremely busy restaurant.

The constantly changing menu always promises a new culinary surprise. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very cozy, especially in the evenings. Reservation recommended as it is very popular.

Nice food and good service in a cozy, traditional restaurant.

One waiter sulked during the whole meal. The other waiter reacted very defensively upon hearing a critical feedback and behaved agressivly against the whole table, eg refusing to divide the bill herselve or touching one of us while on our way out. We all have sometimes a bad day, but this was odd and unacceptable.

Great dining experience - the food is the best quality one could get and made extremely precise. Highly recommend.

The chanterelle mushrooms with the fresh vegetables was an excellent starter. The veal was done beautifully with a sweet side of autumn vegetables and crispy rosti. Such an absolute delight of a meal.

An absolute culinary experience is offered here at Süder in Bern. You can find a menu with 3 to 6 courses or a rich seasonal menu that offers something delicious for everyone here. In all respects we enjoyed a perfect evening with a 4-course menu here. Service was absolutely great, nice, attentive and friendly. The quality of the food was absolutely top class from the starter to the dessert! Portions were big enough, very tender meat and the chocolate cake was (really) the best dessert in my life! Some others can learn a lot from this restaurant. Keep it up, we'll be happy to come back again.

Ambience great. Staff all friendly. The food was very, very tasty except for the dessert. Unfortunately, my partner didn't like the dessert on the menu at all. The service person also asked. Unfortunately it was not an alternative or taken off the bill. 1 point deduction for the clothing of our service staff. Given the price range, a yellow T-shirt over trousers is inappropriate. The dessert thing could also have been solved better.

Always good... and now after far too long an update. A super solid cuisine based on excellent products and an authentic way of preparation. Yesterday: With the Gürberind, fillet strips, you have the feeling that these cattle had to be fed with butter, the experience was so tender. PS: the team is hospitality as you would expect.

Located a little outside the city center but easily accessible by public transport and car. The bus stop and parking spaces are directly in front of the restaurant. Very nice atmosphere, especially in the small winter garden, where it is a little quieter than in the main room. The food tastes excellent and the staff is very friendly, courteous and competent.

The Restaurant Süder is highly recommended. Very nice and attentive service, nice and small restaurant and excellent food of the highest quality. Since the restaurant is rather small, you should make a reservation in the evening. We had our business lunch here and everything was very positive. Wild menu is highly recommended. The next time I'm in Bern again, I'd love to come by again. Thank you!
