Sumak Sumak in Winterthur

Despite the many advantages of Sumak Sumak, it is unfortunately no longer possible to get food there within a reasonable period of time. The capacity of the employees is not sufficient to serve customers, which means that enormous waiting times must be expected, which cannot be combined with a modern urban lifestyle. After making the journey three times only to find a queue that would result in a wait of at least 30 minutes, I'm now looking for another "go to" place for a quick and good snack.

Nice snack bar with a seating area that creates a living room feel. The mezzes are excellent (especially the carrot hummus and bean salad) and the CHF 18 plate with homemade bread on the side (warmed up) should fill you up. Highly recommended.

We really wanted a mezze plate and were rewarded with an absolutely delicious mezze plate. 👌🏼🤩 The food is really well prepared and perfectly seasoned. The restaurant is very inviting and the employees were extremely friendly and cheerful. 🤗 Thank you very much! We will be back! 😉😋

According to official information, open until 10 p.m. When I entered the restaurant at 9:15 p.m. they said: “We are out of bread”.

The food is great and freshly made and the service is very friendly but keep in mind that if you go there during lunch hour you will wait a long time to be served. We waited in the queue for a good 25min before getting served. I will recommend to eat there for the quality of the food but make sure you have more than a hour of lunch break.

Here you can get delicious food, top quality and very fair prices! Self-service. Lots of vegan treats e.g. vegetable bag, mezze etc. Friendly people who prepare the food fresh, which can be taken away or eaten in the beautiful, cozy dining room. Always worth a visit! Pure love.

Every visit is great, fine Gözleme, falafel, mezze, hummous with pita... Attention: take cash with you 😉, we do not accept credit cards or Twint.

Excellent food!!!!! but the service from a man with a mustache is absolutely incorrect and incompetent. Even though he was told twice - “half portion”, he still guessed full price. In the end he didn't even apologize. “Mistakes happen” they said.. yes, that’s true and one of them works for you.

i brought my friends here, they didnt understand the ordering-concept. one of the staff was not happy to explain. he could be a little nicer!!

Best mezze plate far and wide & this at an unbeatable price!

Nice terrace on the walking street and cozy indoor seating however, I expect more from a vegan restaurant. Everything is fresh and tasty but the choice is limited to the usual “fast food” options such as falafel, mezze, houmous... The music was a bit loud and there is no service. I was charged for an extra beverage on my bill. Cash only is not an option anymore today for many. Overall, the experience was okay, I would recommend this place for a quick bite.

Best mezze in Winterthur, served by the friendliest people.

We went there for lunch to get a mezza plate and a kind of filled bread. The food was very tasty and the size of the plate was decent. The ingredients felt fresh. The service was ok. Unfortunately, you can only pay cash (like in the 19th century). If the reason is because of the fees, please increase the prices by 4%. Customers will still visit your restaurant as the food is very good.
