Sushi Train Genève in Genève

If we can still describe the food as “correct”, the service is deplorable. The staff has no desire to work and does not fail to make us feel it, they are unpleasant and unfriendly. The waitress made the entire table take the Business Lunch plan for which you pay to eat up to eight plates (two sushi per plate). Having only eaten four plates, I wanted to take away the remaining sushi in the other four plates (which I had therefore paid for). The servers did not allow me to do this. Which establishment denies you the right to take the food to your table that you paid for??? Restaurant to avoid!!!!

There is a bit of a lack of sushi variety on the p'tit train but the concept is very good and the food is very good.

The restaurant is nice but honestly the sushi is not “more good”. They are just served differently which can be an original experience but not transcendent

Tried this restaurant recently. If the concept is nice with the little train, the sushi includes a strip of fish, I have never eaten sushi with such a thin slice of fish, it spoils the pleasure a little, I find that the quality/price ratio is not good. is not on the appointment.

Very good value for money. I go there quite often (I live close by). The setting is pleasant and the train goes quickly enough that you never have to wait too long. There are obviously more traditional Japanese restaurants in Geneva if you are a purist willing to pay double or triple but that is not the concept of a restaurant. The fish is always fresh (I've read some frankly disingenuous comments) and the slices of tuna or salmon on the nigiri are very generous. The staff is always very pleasant.

Beautiful place, fresh and varied sushi. I particularly like the Tekkadon and a sushi only on the menu composed of scallops and mango with Yuzu sauce. I go there often and to this day have never been disappointed. The staff is friendly and helpful. I recommend.

What an incredible surprise! The quality of the sushi was exceptional. I lived in Japan for 2 years and I never thought I would taste something so similar in Switzerland. In addition, the two waitresses who welcomed us were very friendly :) Thank you Yasmine and Ines!!

The first sushi train I made in Geneva. We went there as a family for our son's birthday. He was over the moon, so I'm happy too. Reservations recommended in the evening.

Industrial sushi without any taste. Especially since the map is not clear. They evoke an assortment of sushi while there is a mix of maki, California, sushi. Despite my remark, the manager did not deign to make an arrangement for us. I do not recommend the place. Update of 08/23 to respond to the owner: when I asked for the assortments, I basically wanted two meats (salmon and tuna), at that time the waitress did not offer us the plate formula (which is to will and therefore approx 40-). But later, not wanting to exchange the plate, she offered us to take the plates of our choice...but these plates will have to be paid extra. So I don’t understand the criticism of listening.

I like the design of the restaurant. The train buffet is fun, you can grab the dish you would like to eat. The japanese food is healthy and good. Udon broth is so yummy.

The welcome isn’t exactly warm but it’s very good! I really recommend.

The sushi is really not exceptional, you can easily find slightly better ones in supermarkets. Little variety The reception is ok, nothing exceptional but no fault. (At the same time we help ourselves so it’s normal) The train that brings the sushi is quite funny, practical and quickly replenished so it's easy to get what you want without waiting. 40 CHF unlimited, if you eat enough it's well worth it. Otherwise, without an all-you-can-eat formula, 2-piece plates cost 3, 4, or 5 CHF, which is also quite reasonable. Comfort level, atmosphere, noise is fine. In short, it's average but for the price, especially in Geneva, there's nothing to be outraged about. Maybe I'll go back.

Nice sushi, fun experience, and friendly staff

Certainly the worst sushi I have eaten (even those from supermarkets are better). Sushi has geometric shapes as if it were molded. Most of the ingredients are industrial (salads, tempuras, crushed avocado which has the very acidic taste of industrial guacamole, etc.). Nothing looks fresh (dangerous for raw fish). The setting has no charm. The first and last time for me.

Their concept of delivering each and every person via a small electric train is very original. The little train runs at a constant and moderate speed to have time to take the plates from the wagons, I recommend it.

The "train" principle for choosing your food is very nice and the restaurant is well located in the city center. On the other hand, it is a shame for Japanese culture to call this sushi. For anyone who has been to Japan, move on. The rice is absolutely not well cooked and the quantity compared to the fish is indecent. We end up with a block in our mouth to chew for 1 minute. Good, well-cooked rice (not difficult with a rice cooker that does everything) makes up 70% of the quality of a good sushi. Moreover, the thin and narrow cut of the fish which is lost in this block of rice does not bring back any balance. (Quality of fish, normal for Switzerland let's say). The location of the restaurant obviously brings tourists so please improve even just the rice and you will already gain a lot in quality.

The idea of ​​sushi transported on the train is beautiful, fun and innovative. Obviously you don't expect a very wide variety of dishes. After a while you will realize that the dishes repeat themselves and especially if you are a selector, it will not be easy to choose. The concept is quite nice, the all-you-can-eat menu for a little over 40 chf is reasonable because the 🍣 are of decent quality, for big eaters obviously. Suitable for eating alone or in pairs because being side by side can make conversations a little difficult.

First time at the sushi train! Really cool, the lunch meal with the formula at 26.90.- is perfect. The sushi is really good and there is a choice. It’s a shame that the decoration and identity of the restaurant is not more advanced. To do again!

Eating here is quite a lot of fun! The train passes by slow enough to take what you want, and fast enough to not keep you waiting too long for the next round! It is quite expensive which is understandable for a place that's in the center of town, but they have a happy hour where everything is half price so that's pretty cool! The seats are high, so with a wheelchair it'd be quite difficult unfortunately.. there also isn't much space between the wall, the walkway, and the seats so when it's crowded it gets loud and bustling.. but still the food is great, the sizes of the food is good, and you can also just order what you want instead of waiting for the train! They have a terrasse for when the weather is good as well! Basically, give it a go, it's way better and more fun than big sushi chains...

Large selection of sushi, a little lacking in space. I recommend going there to eat more quantity than quality, although the sushi remains very good.

As expensive as it is good... either it's me that I'm used to Spain or those 50 francs for a buffet for one person hurt me more than usual, there wasn't much variety either.

On the one hand the concept is nice with the train, but too much rice and not enough fish. On the other hand, for vegetarians or those who don't like fish/can't eat it, there is almost no variety. Even for those who eat fish there are only 5 types (max). Also starters are not included in the all-you-can-eat menu. But the worst thing is that they force you to pay for the all you can eat menu even if you have eaten 3 plates. The staff were nice at first but when we noticed the problem with the bill they became unfriendly. We're NEVER coming back!

More than just a restaurant, a Show. As much for the taste buds as for the eyes with this majestic train which delivers refined dishes. The waitresses dazzle us with their smile and their kindness, always very helpful and even without a reservation, they do everything possible to find a solution. I highly recommend !

This place is a joke. Arrival on the terrace today (8.09.21) at 1:30 p.m.! The waitresses are absent. Finally we call them at 1:55 p.m. to tell them that we are on the terrace and that we are going to eat on the one next door (too bad for the sushi). The waitress replied: “Very good, bon appetit”. I ask them to speak to the manager, I am told that he is not there (perhaps the beginning of an explanation). I ask her who I'm dealing with, she tells me I won't give my first name, you just have to say that you spoke to a waitress (...) Good luck for the future

There is not enough fish compared to the large quantity of rice and the fish does not have much flavor. The rice is a little too thick. But otherwise the train is fun.

Even if it is the only sushi train in Geneva, at least to my knowledge, the concept is really not special and the low quality sushi there is too much rice compared to the fish and the two are not incredible.

While the kitchen was still open, my order was refused because the cooks wanted to close the kitchen. Note that I heard the waitresses trying to negotiate with the kitchen who was categorical. I wasn't the only customer still eating when the waitresses were required by the kitchen to empty the train before the kitchen closing time of course. I was not the only customer in this situation. If I can give you one piece of advice, don't trust the opening hours of this restaurant. I thought at least I was making a commercial gesture, but not even... disappointed with this restaurant that I really appreciated until now!

Very friendly service from the staff, and quick seating

Good welcome, smiling waitress but nothing more... the little wasabis were expired, this was announced to the waitress but nothing was done, so I didn't take any. The sushi was not great, just average, the rice lacked vinegar. Sweetened soy sauce on demand and tasteless. The drink is obligatory, 4 francs per drink minimum! A scam! Intense heat in the room, the music too loud, so people were shouting to hear each other, the headache ultimately made me leave. Too expensive for what it is, you pay for the concept of the train, not the food. I don't advise.

I could stay 4 hours just to watch the train go by.

The train goes by too quickly, it's difficult to make a choice and I came across a sushi with a suspicious taste that I put down..

The atmosphere and the waitresses are pleasant. The sushi is full of rice! But really TOO MUCH RICE! There isn't much variety. The price is 33chf for women and 39 for men. But beware ! It's obligatory to buy a drink! It costs around 5chf. So the price will be 38 for women and 44 for men! I won't go back.

Very good restaurant with a nice choice of sushi. However, some sushi was ordinary. The all-you-can-eat formula is profitable from nine plates. We had a great time as a couple, the restaurant is well located and visible. Inside, the main “table” overlooked by the train is in the center of the restaurant and there is a more distant and welcoming patio. We were made very welcome by the staff and we ate very well! We will definitely return to this restaurant.

A good address, unfortunately when the restaurant is full, we quickly get crowded and it becomes difficult to chat. The tea is good, the food good value for money. The frozen mochis are good and refreshing.
