Convenient as it is also open on Sundays.

The bakery left me with a rather positive and encouraging taste.

The coffee was super good, and so were the sweets. We were served by a blonde girl who is very friendly and the treatment was splendid.

The saleswoman doesn't like me today I got a burnt piece of bread that was the darkest of all. I wanted to say something but the saleswoman was in such a bad mood that I silently accepted it

Very friendly counter service, large selection of baked goods, but unfortunately no egg sandwiches or canapés (anymore) and proud prices for self-service in the café.

Loveless service. Personak doesn't know a friendly face. They prefer to stand in a corner and hope that no one comes into the store. Positive. The children's corner... right next to the toilet entrance...

A very unfriendly lady who makes a toxic extra comment every time she serves me. I got 10 pieces of Milanese and 5 pieces of aniseed for CHF 12.30.-/ you say goodbye in a friendly manner, the three ladies probably didn't need to say goodbye because they were very busy chatting. There is no point in dealing with toxic people who have a negative impact on those around you.

The staff except the employees were very friendly. Speak to the women very kindly. The man in charge is as if he is irritable, annoyed and never smiles at the customer. It's a shame that not everyone reacts in the same friendly way.

As a guest in this café, the staff hardly pays any attention to you and treats you very arrogantly. The words “providing service” and “customer friendliness” are unknown here. Worst operating experience!

We bought several pastries early in the morning and all were dry ..

The service in the branch is always friendly and quick. Regular customers are addressed by name. The sales staff always know the same product wishes and this creates a pleasant encounter, which begins with a friendly greeting and ends with a delicious coffee to go!

A bit expensive for what it is. You are served at the counter. I have a cappuccino and a cream slice. The cream slice wasn't the classic one. The whole thing cost over 10 francs. In other bakeries you are served and get a small breakfast for the price.

I was really disappointed when I saw the light Leonardo when I was there every now and then before Corona, it looked really inviting with cream and caramel, now it's just a frappe with a little caramel, unfortunately half the glass is just air. Despite the fact that there were no people there was no longer any service. For me this is still a reason to avoid the Sutter Begg.

The food is tasty and looks great, the coffee is good too. The place is very spacious, I guess it's great for work or stuff like that but it lacks some character, it's very generic. Still, it's comfortable, welcoming and bright.

Excellent cafe, where we had breakfast with sweet cappuccino/hot chocolate. The baked goods offer a wide choice and are really good. Prices are in line with the area.

I wanted to order something for lunch. How were to step. My two colleagues ordered and went to the table. The seller lets 2 other customers order first and let me wait. Even though I'm at the front. Does he have tomatoes on his eyes? If I had been alone I would have left the store and not come back.

On Friday February 10th I wanted to place an order for Monday February 13th. The gentleman, a German, was extremely unfriendly and just said “Yes, that's pretty close” I apologized but that didn't stop him from taking out his frustration on me. When I wanted to pay he didn't ask me if I wanted to pay by card, he just assumed that I wanted to do that when I said I would pay in cash, he made me feel like an outcast, as if I had just met his mother insulted. Really unfriendly and annoyed as if I was asking for a free service even though I paid a lot of money for the order. At least the lady who gave me the order on Monday was very nice and she is also the star. In the future I will place my orders somewhere else, even if it is a little further away.

I didn't know this Sutter Begg with its self-service café and was thrilled. Literally made my lunch. Very friendly staff.

Located directly at the Heiliggeistkirche tram station. Bakery with cafe (self-service). Bright, modern atmosphere. Garden seating. Large display including salad bowls and other convenient food. Homemade iced teas. There is also a simple menu every day from Mon-Fri. Friendly service.

Nicely designed café with a spacious bakery counter. There is also a smaller counter for lunch with fresh salads, homemade soups and other warm dishes. There is also a selection of patisserie. Everything also available to take away. Seating is available indoors and outdoors in dry weather (blankets and lambskins are also available in cooler temperatures). The only drawback: after the renovation there was no space left for a children's corner. But it has a few picture books and toys.

Absolute impudence, 20.5% surcharge for consumption on the terrace and that with self-service!!!! Dear Begg team, Your answer is absolutely wrong, not factual and gives no justification for the 20.5%!! It wasn't a "take away", we consumed the goods we ordered in your restaurant on the terrace!!

I received very friendly service today and my Silser sandwich was super delicious. We are around the corner at the hotel and will have breakfast there tomorrow because everything looked so fresh and fine :) Kind regards from Zurich

Not recommended for vegans. The offer is simply not there at all.

Super unfriendly staff. (I thought from the feedback already written "yes, you just have to treat the staff decently" but that doesn't help at all....) I work in the catering industry myself and what I had to listen to on Sunday and how I was served unfortunately didn't deserve more than 1 star. We then left without our Sunday breakfast. It's a shame, I'll definitely never go to Sutter Begg again.

Very clean and well maintained. Large selection, unfortunately not everything is always available. On some days, products that are in high demand are already sold out by early afternoon. But the baked goods are always of high quality.

My rating refers to the chocolate slices with the inscription “Merci” and “Happy Birthday”. I bought one of these today and it was pretty disappointing. The slice costs 6.90 and consists only of dry cake inside, covered in chocolate and a little icing, which makes the whole thing sweeter than necessary, but at least reduces the dryness a little. I certainly won't buy it again. For this price per piece, freshness and quality should be guaranteed.

Regardless of whether you asked for the opposite: you get the cappuccino with chocolate powder.

Staff friendly. Quality has continuously declined in recent years. Urigs bread, Silserli, Berliner no comparison to before. I now buy my things elsewhere.

Very nice staff, always friendly and helpful. I recently noticed that they now also have a small play area where the children can have fun. Coffee etc. Great.

Absolutely avoid due to mask requirement!! Basically it would be comfortable. It's better to go a few kilometers to the next canton and visit a branch there.

There's a bit of a lack of choice at the moment. But quality is very good.

Unfortunately the croissants (freshly picked up on Saturday morning) were dry, which put us in a bad mood. There were also clear differences in quality between 8 pieces. We really expect more from a bakery, even croissants from regular grocers were better. No recommendation.

It is the equivalent of one of our bars, with an adjoining oven, excellent desserts, but the discerning palate will certainly also find something among the many savory options. Friendly and nice, on the second day, they remembered "my coffee" short espresso.

Like this place, used to visit them now and then. Always cheerful staff, good variety of pastries and other bakery products.

We bought a mix of breakfast pastries at this shop for our brunch on a Saturday morning; every one of it was super stale and definitely more than a day old, maybe to be sold at significant discount on apps for preventing food waste or discount backeries (which exist in Gündeli) but definitely not at full price at a known chain café/backery. Very disappointing, won't be back!

Whether in the morning, lunch or evening...I always find something delicious at Sutter Begg! The inviting atmosphere invites you to linger and the service is always very friendly!

I prefer small bakeries. Unfortunately, coffee is too bitter. Good bread for that. Hotzenplotz bread, Pailasse or Urigs are my favorites.

Sunday breakfast on the terrace is very pleasant. Delicious baked goods.

As everywhere at Sutter, the quality of the products is “ok”. There are definitely much funnier and more creative bakeries out there. If you need to go quickly and there's nothing else available, Sutter is fine.

A very nice shop with a tea room from the local bakery chain Sutter. Excellent products but some of them are quite expensive. Well located by public transport, parking spaces are only available on public land and are usually in short supply

schnaggli is good, just hope to know how much calorie those kind of nutrition information

Be careful everyone!!! The salads are already spoiled. Bought sausage, cheese salad, ate it immediately and got severe food poisoning, fever over 39 for three days and everything that goes with it. “Thank you very much” Sutter! Never again!

If you need something quickly, not recommended!! I was left standing too long this morning. I left the shop again after 2 minutes because I wasn't served, even though there were enough staff there who just looked around and didn't feel addressed. The lady at the serving counter was having a nice conversation with a customer and was therefore unable to attend. A few nice words ok. But being ignored after 2 minutes is enough. Thank you for your answer, dear Sutter Begg team. I have made a correction in the rating of your company. Until the next visit, thank you.

Friendly and patient service, they even switch to standard German for newcomers... Ordered food is also served on the terrace. Here you can sit sunny, shaded and/or protected from the wind and view with a fleece blanket and enjoy the really good coffee. Saturday afternoon there wasn't much of a choice left, but the quality of what was on offer looked good... Biberle, vanilla cross, poultry curry cream soup and meatball were certainly tasty. Fatal for the hip gold: good selection of tempting chocolates and pastries. One star deducted for the lack of charm in the furnishings (the ladies and gentlemen were all very charming) - otherwise absolutely recommended!

I like the Schoggiweggli best. Nowhere else are they as good as at Sutter Begg. Finally, the price was recently adjusted from 2.40 to 2.50 CHF. This way I get less coins back 😜

Too expensive, just for rich people and drinks aren't really cold even in summer! Staff aren't exactly the friendliest either

Super fine coffee, lot of space during off hours, outdoor seating, fast and charming staff, top sweet snacks such as choco croissant and more.

Every Sunday I go to breakfast at Sutter near the Heiliggeistkirche tram stop with my girlfriend, my daughter and her Gotti. My favorite are the “Pastetli duette” for CHF 16.90 and a coffee. The Sutter in Gundeli is extremely child-friendly and is therefore a popular meeting place for young families. Over time you also get to know the employees, which makes coming back even nicer. Some people complain about the prices, but everything is right in relation to the performance. And so I'm already looking forward to next Sunday and the pasties.
