Everything about this place is amazing. The hospitality from the owners and the team is amazing. Definitely one of the best experiences. The Owner Mr Gagan served us food past midnight but still the taste of food was amazing. Would recommend 100% for people travelling to lugano.

Naan didn’t come with main meal on time, we ended up both having to wait to eat our main meal. A group of teenagers came in and were seated next to us, despite us being there for a romantic meal. They continued to play YouTube videos out loud from their phone and the waiters did nothing to stop them. There was not a good selection of Indian curries to share together and enjoy as there would be in a typical Indian restaurant in England. The meal sizes were very small. The chicken tikka masala was nothing to go back for. We would not go back to eat here.

Amazing Indian and Fusion food! We enjoy having dinner there as the setting is very nice in a little forest. The ambience is great and all the dishes are delicious. We really enjoy the variety of the dishes and presentation. A perfect place to spend a Saturday night dinner.

Good food... a nice variation to our habits, very generous dishes. Everything is well taken care of and served with kindness. Excellent wines also opened by the glass and on request... Nel very good overall.

The hospitality of Gagan and Daniela (together with their super motivated team) is a guarantee of quality! We have been customers for many, many years and we are still amazed: by the elegance, the flavors and the professionalism. A safe bet if you want to make an impression, while at the same time surprising your guests. I know several places where you eat well, some equally elegant, very few with service of this level. Note: I don't gain anything from this review, rereading it might seem different 😉

This is by far the best restaurant in Lugano and Ticino. The food is simply superb and the whole team is very professional and kind. Gagan, the owner, is super friendly and polite. Thank you. 🙏🏻 The restaurant is beautiful and the atmosphere is peaceful with soft lights. The taste of the food is out of this world, all the ingredients and spices generate an explosion of pleasure and delight in your mouth 🤩 I've been eating plant-based food for 40 years and I'm so happy that Gagan proposes some incredible vegan options. We had the veg platter and the Masala Dosa and both were beyond delicious 😋 the Chocolate Mousse with a sprinkle of pistachio crumbs (also vegan) as dessert made me feel I was in heaven! Atmosphere and environment is great, very relaxing, warm and welcoming! Came here for a birthday dinner, and food was great, mostly Indian food as well as a few dishes from other asian countries. Service was amazing, very nice staff. Prices are fairly reasonable, and not too expensive for Lugano. Location is nice but the restaurant is a little bit difficult to find. However, definitely recommend!!

The restaurant is strong, strong, strong, I swear to God, there is something amazing about the food, clean and the same cooking. They have amazing Indian food in its original form. I ordered it. 2 biryani, one masala, and a chicken curry with bread and 3 cola. My account is 160 francs, very expensive, but to be honest, there is no loss in the amount because it is something amazing. It has the food. The best Indian restaurant in all of Europe, and the view is beautiful. Its place is high in the mountain, with the lake beneath it 👍👍👍🌹

Indian restaurant, really very, very good... it also offers other types of cuisine but always refined. The staff is knowledgeable and kind, they spoil you from start to finish. The location is very beautiful, both inside and out. The menu changes often, if you want to return frequently you will never be disappointed. Lots of vegetarian choices. A good wine list. The prices are slightly high, but totally justified by the service and good food.

As someone who has lived in India many years this was the best Indian meal I’ve ever had. Gagan, the owner was an excellent host with a sharp sense of humour and first class understanding of his wines and foods. The setting is warm and welcoming and wine cellar worth a quick look, even more so if Gagan explains things for you. The starters were good but the mains of lamb shank and veal steak were something else, truly exceptional. The wines we were given paired perfectly. Overall a first class experience!

A corner of India in Ticino. A very particular place with services attentive to detail. Excellent food that allows you to take a gastronomic tour of India. The owner is very friendly and an expert sommelier who can suggest the best wine pairing. Ask to visit the wine cellar. It really deserves it. Perfect for special occasions.

We were in Lugano just for a night and Tabla was our only choice for "Indian" food. We still tried ordering online other food but failed. Finally at 9.45pm I called Tabla enquiring if they were still open or not! A cheerful voice was on the other side and said till we do not feed you, we are open! Take your time but do hurry! We took a taxi immediately and reached there. It's little out of the way but worth it! We were welcomed (my in laws 89 & 80, we were a bit worried about them) and served with absolutely delicious food! Paneer did melt in our mouth. The owner stopped by and had a nice chit chat. Thanks overall.

A magical place!!! Excellent dishes, cooked with care and love, paying homage to secret family recipes. The owner is a very kind person who makes you feel like a guest in his home, ready to explain the dishes, recommending the most appropriate combinations. The staff is attentive to customer requests, even unexpressed ones (especially for the surprise cake with candle). A place to try, try again, try again and, to be sure, give it another go!

Tabla is one of those gastronomic experiences which transport you into food coma and the ambience takes it a notch even higher. The attention to detail in terms of some very special indian regional dishes and the cellar which has some of the finest wines which make its such a delight. Would reccomend their chicken tikkas, lamb starters and the paneer pasanda with the naans. It’s a must visit when in Lugano , but ensure a prior reservation as it was packed on a Friday evening and I hear Saturday is similar. The staff goes out of their way to give u a superb time!

This place does not need any review, it needs to be experienced. It’s a hidden gem in Lugano which if you don’t discover then you have to come again to Lugano coz you have missed out on the most stylish and sophisticated gourmet restaurant. Anybody who’s anybody had a reservation at the most distinguished restaurant downtown. The host Gagan is so charming that he adds the tassels on the cushions have tassels. The food is delicious, an Indian restaurant, but it is clean, and their food is delicious. It is permissible for a quarter of us Gulf Arabs, but it opens at 6 p.m

Great Indian+Asian restaurant with incredible hospitality and classy ambiance. I also love that it’s surrounded by trees and so tranquil. They also carry an extensive wine list.

Eating is an experience for me, so the place and the environment are worth the visit. Then there is the culinary part, which for those like me who are vegetarians, must always find their way in the search for a dish that has a bit of refinement and is tasty. On this point I can't say that it excels, chickpea or lentil soup accompanied by rice and/or potatoes with vegetables, all well separated, is not up to the asking price. So overall I wasn't particularly satisfied.

Very tasty Indian food. My friend is from India and has always been disappointed, but this was the first time he was very satisfied and enjoyed Indian food. I also found the food to be a culinary delight! The staff was very friendly and extremely quick. We will definitely eat here again! :)

Truly magical place and service very attentive to detail. Very good food even if the veal main courses have different fat in the meat. The chocolate cake was perfect! Perfect for special occasions where you can spend around 80chf each.

Absolutely first rate place for Indian food with swiss ambience experience. The flavorsome starters upped my expectations for the main course which was fabulous- to top it all- the host added a personal warmth to the evening with his wit and humor

Excellent Indian and Asian dishes. Very nice atmosphere with many international guests. Inside decoration is beautiful mix of Asian style with Ticino Grotto combined. We loved it a lot, especially also the high quality food. We will come back on our next Ticino trip for sure.
