Tannenbad in Sumiswald

We celebrated my brother's birthday/retirement🎉🥳 with a nice meal😋. it was great. As a courtesy, we were even allowed to bring our own birthday🎂 - thank you very much!!! I didn't know this place yet, but I'd love to come back :)

Cool restaurant in a dignified atmosphere. A lot of passion is still being put into the work here.

There is still real home cooking here. Well cooked and “wholesome”. Generous portions at a very reasonable price. By the way, the caper sauce on the beef tongue would be one of the best I've had so far and it's one of my favorite dishes. Hamme with potato salad was also very tasty. Service is as it should be in Emmental. Friendly but a bit raw. Absolutely fitting ;-) Eating warm at 3 p.m. is no problem.

Mixed salad, veal tongue and cream schnitzel... eat like at Grosi.

The best meat salad I've ever eaten

At short notice we decided to pay a visit to the Tannenbad. Even though we didn't make a reservation, we got a good spot. The food was very good and the service was very nice. Just like it is in Emmental 🤗. We had a lovely evening and it certainly wasn't the last time we were there. Great!

Very nice restaurant with a small menu. Here, less is more because the dishes are freshly prepared and not frozen. Price-performance ratio is right and we would love to come back!

I really like this concept, "from farm to restaurant". The food is really good, the rooms are well maintained (new toilets), there is enough parking space, the terrace is large and, above all, there are enough activities for children. All in all, we had a nice day and would come again next time, but then by motorbike, because the way there goes over hills and hills.

Nice, somewhat remote inn. Meets everything you would expect from a rustic restaurant in the Emmental. Kind staff, very large portions and home cooking. I was pleasantly surprised by a beer from a small brewery. At least on Sunday lunchtime you will hardly find a place without a reservation.

Way back in Sumiswald... Lots of PP rustic country pub - healthy pine bath water carafes moderately served... Landlady is the heart of the pub comes personally from table to table... Room uncomfortable, loud... Service a bit wooden and stressed... .

The food is good, home-style and totally tasty! The kitchen knows its craft! If you like to enjoy something rural, this restaurant is the right place for you! Today I chose the Tannenbad restaurant as my destination on my hike. There I treated myself to a beef salad garnished. He was fine too. Unfortunately I have to criticize the 3 canned salads and the way everything was served on a small glass plate. It would certainly have been better served on a large plate at 5 p.m.

Cozy restaurant in a very quiet location

We spent a lovely evening here and were able to enjoy the good CordonBleus. Unfortunately it took a long time before we could finally place the coffee and dessert order because a car still wanted to be served, but the dessert was very nicely presented and large. The fact that we were able to spend the night here with the Büssli was the reason why we ended up here. We'd love to come back and thank you for your hospitality.

It is beautifully located in the countryside and away from traffic and you receive very good and friendly service.

Great hospitality. Nice with children. Playground with tractors and ride-ons etc. Fast food was first class. Very good portions. and last but not least, dessert. mmmm very lovingly prepared. There was a scoop of ice cream for the children. It came decorated with fruits and smatris and even a lolly. The whole stay was just wow
