Taphouse Burgers & Ales EPFL in Ecublens (VD)

The burger was not good (tasted like vegetable proteins), the bbq sauce was not good and the raw vegetables were just a salad 🥲. But the service was very good and the place is good

Student bar with very good value drinks and great selection of lagers and ales. You can get a jug of 3 pints for 15 CHF which is great value, especially for Switzerland. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Did not have any food but a friend had a burger which looked delicious. Good fun to go with friends and was great to view the rugby with other students. Frustratingly bathrooms are strategically located two flights of stairs underground though.

Nice for a quick beer and a change from the famous one across campus. Prices 7 or below for a pint are reasonable. A disappointing selection of beers though.

Very good bar. Good hamburgers, good potatoes and good beers at a good price (for being Switzerland). They usually show several football matches (including Barça) live at the same time, one on each TV. There is plenty of room although it fills up quickly. Good attention from the workers.

So, let's start at the beginning! If I could give 6 stars, I would! Whether it's to end up as round as a tail, or to try your luck with a little date, this pillar of Swiss drinking allows you to achieve your goal. It goes without saying that the beer flows freely, as does the Ricard, but it is the appreciable staff that makes the experience even more pleasant. Having spent a nice minimum wage on it, I find that the "Grisly Bear" beer is truly a gem, even close to the elixir of the gods. The Crafty leaves something to be desired. To eat, if you have room in your belly, it's possible to walk the long distance to Holy Cow (20 meters), the restaurant attached to the bar, which isn't too bad too.
