Thach in Zürich

The pho was great on a cold rainy day. The duck was my favorite. Very crispy and flavorful. The chef is Vietnamese so the Vietnamese items were delicious. Didn’t try the other non-Vietnamese items except the chicken skewers which was flavor. They gave generous servings of peanut sauce.

as a Vietnamese (from Norway hehe) the food was very delicious. I ordered Bún bò Huế and it tasted just like home. The staff were supernice as well

I can only recommend! How come? At lunchtime there is an “all you can eat” buffet at a fair price of around 25 CHF! The service was very helpful and polite. The restaurant is nicely decorated. A solid restaurant and you can't go wrong. Try it out.

Best crispy duck dish in Zurich, hands down. Also enjoyed the plum wine and the little bottle it's served in. Huge portions, super friendly service, fair prices, and wonderful vibe. Will gladly go back again and again.

I visit Thach but accident . I was amazed from the food . The quality is very good . The veggies were as fresh as they could be . Concerning flavor , was amazing and full . Everything was there !!!!! The dish with the duck made me happy . The service , even though the restaurant was full was very very good and fast . I highly recommend it !!!

Would have even deserved less than one star, unfortunately... Vegetables were out of the package, the beef was fried beyond the sole of a shoe and tasted like fuel paste or something similar. Absolutely not recommended

We had the buffet. Some of the food was tasty the beef and shrimps. Rice and noodles were fine. Starters were ok but mostly fried. It was more Chinese food than Thai. There was not much going on in the restaurant, but many people came to take away.

One of my favorites in ZH. Food is delicious, price is fantastic for Zurich, and it is very close to Europaallee. The menu is not long, but it doesn't matter. A great balanced place

Is the sister waitress and the amazing food that makes us go back again and again. Imagine going to a restaurant and have you welcomed with a huge smile and remembering your usual order. I’d like being home without having to cook.

There is very good food. For 14 francs you can pack a box as full as you can, and it's very nice. It’s definitely worth it for high school students. There is such a self-service desk

We went based on the reviews when we were passing through the city and it was a success! A simple restaurant that has a menu and also an open buffet option for about 22 chz per person, which is super good for the area, and the buffet is small. but with varied options and all the food very tasty, very friendly staff. They also have an option to fill a tupperware at the buffet and take it to you for 14'50 if memory serves, 100% recommended!

A very cozy restaurant and lovingly decorated. The food tasted great (yellow curry with chicken, rice and vegetables + vegi spring rolls) The waitress, a young, very personable woman, was always attentive and super friendly. The food and drinks came quickly and finally there was a plum wine on the house! Thank you very much for a successful evening! :)

The food was imaginative yet traditional, good portions at a good price. Despite the full house, the waitress always had an eye for empty glasses and asked if everything was OK.

I've been there several times and had the Pad Thai excellent. Unfortunately this time it had nothing to do with Pad Thai, it was more soy sauce noodles. The waitress only gave me 10٪ and probably doesn't know what Pad Thai is supposed to look like. It's a real shame that it wasn't as good anymore...

Nice place. Only 1 waitress on but she was amazing, never seen anyone work like her before. Worked every table with no delays. Hot soup was amazing.

Absolutely brilliant. Night off from client dinner so we walked around this area and decided on Thach, I had all the veggie options with tofu, summer roll, tom yum soup and a brilliant shechuan curry with noodles that had loads of firm tofu. Oh and must mention Nadine, superb waitress who worked the whole restaurant tirelessly.

Buffet food was okayish, not that great, the soup was very sweet like sugar syrup, fried chicken was cold, and the meat was chewy. Charged 9.5chf for a 1l bottle of water while buffet was 22chf. The atmosphere was pretty bleak, we were given a table at the far corner when the whole restaurant was almost empty.

For those connoisseurs of Vietnamese cuisine: Bun Bo Hue is “spicy” pho. This hurts for a Vietnamese heart :(

Small find for those who like Thai food. Friendly and fast service, delicious food… a little spicy than expected, but delicious.

We loved this place! First of all this was some of my favorite service we experienced in Switzerland, our waitress was straight to the point and friendly and we got all of our food and drinks quickly which is always nice after long days on a trip. The food was 10/10 super delicious. We both cleaned our plates and wanted more simply for the FLAVOR. So good!

The Thach Restaurant impressed me from the start. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by a welcoming atmosphere and friendly smiles. The attention to detail in the design of the interior creates a warm and attractive environment that invites you to linger. The service at Thach Restaurant is simply first class. The staff is attentive and courteous without being intrusive. From start to finish of my visit, I felt well looked after and was able to fully concentrate on my dining experience.

It simply tastes very good every time. Service is super friendly and there are fine (and large) Aperol Spritz ;-) I'll always come back.

The ambience is simple and could still be expanded here. However, the restaurant is rather large and offers many seats. On the Wednesday we were here there weren't very many people but only someone on duty. With many guests this would probably not be enough. The map is extensive and good. The portions are very large and you will definitely be full. We had the sesame buns (these were ok, but nothing special) and then a red curry and Szechuan beef. The food was good and the price was reasonable. Certainly a recommendation for Asian food without the fuss in Zurich.

Lunch buffet: Generic asian mixed sauce dishes. Salty, fresh ingredients, three meat dishes, steamed veggies, a couple of other tidbits. If you need to fill up on the way to the mountains the buffet may be worth it, otherwise there's tastier treats in the same price range around here.

the food was very delicious especially the noodles but the chicken itself tasted a little weird but not bad. we had to wait a bit long till our food got served and it was very loud but this is normal on a busy saturday.

The duck breast was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the seasoning was great. Unfortunately, the vegetables and sauce were mediocre and would have been better served separately from the duck breast when presented. The environment is very good and the service is friendly. Overall, it's an above-average level among Western-style Asian restaurants, and it's worth a try anyway. 80/100

Very good food, attentive and friendly service. Price/performance is also optimal. However: the ventilation needs to be reconsidered, the clothes stink massively after a visit. Everything has to go to the cleaning/laundry. Very unfortunate. Therefore deduction due to ambience, i.e. kitchen emissions.

(I really meant to give 0 stars btw) We felt so humiliated by the way the waitress Natasa treated us. We knew we had to vacate the table by 8pm. At 7.45pm, we were in the middle of our meal and she comes up to us saying angrily, "Are you guys finished?". Imagine having a spoon in your mouth, and the waitress asking you if you're finished!? We said "No", and then she looks arrogantly at her watch, saying "Do you know you have to leave in 15 minutes? Did my colleague not tell you?". I felt like throwing the table away in anger! Later, when we asked to pack the rest of our meal, she packed it up and slid it to our table in arrogance without even looking at us. Learn some manners!

Absolutely steal! All you can eat for only 22 CHF in middle of Zurich? The food is super delicious. Don't hesitate, just come here if you crave for Asian food

Very beautiful place with great staff, they gave us a table even we didn’t make a reservation, after eating we got the cookies with predictions. In general, the restaurant is pretty good and worth visiting, just I had a higher expectations for the duck and have tried better ones in the area.

I tried the Pho here and what I got served I cannot describe as Pho. I got a bowl of noodles (that seemed more like spaghetti) in hot water (not sure even any flavouring was added) with 5 pieces of beef and side of some leaves and beansprouts. I ate the few pieces of beef and beansprouts and after eating some of the noodles, I was thinking "Why am I eating a bowl of plain pasta?" so I left it and went to eat somewhere else. I don't think I will ever be coming back here.

I have to say I had high expectations from the reviews but it sadly was mediocre! The wait staff are the best thing about this place. Very nice, friendly and efficient! Very unauthentic food that made me disappointed I made this choice based on reviews. Wine Merlot that costs 8.50€ costs 52chf here. I’m really disappointed.

Compared to the numerous competitors of Thai restaurants in the area, the restaurant here cannot keep up. The portion was large, but green curry was watery and not very flavorful. In addition, the vegetable base should not consist of 50% coarsely chopped onions.

Worst food I have had in years. Soup oversalted, chicken satay tasted burnt, green curry came with tofu instead of beef, papaya sald was lukewarm, curry tasteless. I live in Switzerland in the year 2022 and I believe Google still has a fake review problem. Sad.

In principle, the lunch menu was good, the service was very friendly. I don't like that the lamps hang so low that they tickle Franzen's head at the buffet. Somehow the Asian feeling doesn't really come across, but it's complaining on a high level.

Ordered cá kho tộ, which I was unfamiliar with. This dish was absolutely amazing! Savory, sweet, umami, delicious. The staff was equally friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend a meal here!
