The Kunsthof in Uznach

Excellent. We had a very nice and cozy evening in the Kunsthof. The atmosphere is very nice and there is enough space between the tables. The service was very friendly and accommodating. And even though the restaurant was full, everything went smoothly. I also thought it was great that boss Matthias went to all the guests and greeted them. The food was excellent and very nicely prepared. Price/performance absolutely top for the perfect quality. Kudos to the whole team. We would like to come again.

The huge room with the high ceiling is still cozy thanks to the fireplace, subtle lighting and calm brown tones. The Zurich Geschnetzelte was simply delicious, from the veal to the mushrooms to the sauce and of course the Rösti. The dining and washrooms are sparkling clean, the service is top notch, competent and friendly. The bill discreetly in old, very different metal cans. And the storks on the roof...

The Kunsthof restaurant in Uznach offers an all-round successful experience that deserves five stars in every respect. The sufficient number of guest parking spaces makes arrival stress-free. The building itself is a feast for the eyes, a successful combination of rustic charm and modern elements. The restaurant on the first floor welcomes its guests with a very pleasant atmosphere. The ability to choose your own table next to a burning fireplace enhances the feeling of coziness and warmth. The homely smell that fills the restaurant contributes to a relaxed and welcoming ambience. As for the service, it was impeccable - very personable and professional. It is rare to come across such outstanding service that exceeds expectations. The menu also leaves nothing to be desired. The wild card in particular is highly recommended; The roe deer pepper, although it has a very smoky taste and might not be to everyone's taste, was high quality and perfectly prepared. All in all, the visit to the Kunsthof restaurant was a perfect experience. A visit is highly recommended for anyone looking for a combination of excellent cuisine, outstanding service and a welcoming atmosphere.

We were there for dinner on a beautiful summer evening and were therefore able to dine in the beautiful garden. We were greeted warmly and were able to choose our seat. The menu is manageable, but that speaks for quality and suggests good things. The bread came with a seasoned butter, chimichurri and, if requested, Greek olive oil. I tried all 3 variants and they were all excellent. The olive oil was also of good quality. For me personally it's more on the fruity side, but that's a matter of taste. For starters we ordered the boiled meat ravioli and the beef tartare. Both were beautifully prepared and tasted excellent. Although olives don't belong in a classic tartare, but that's a minor quibble. For the main course we had the Capuns and the Iberico pork duet. Both were very nicely prepared, although the pork dish seemed a bit overloaded. Both tasted very good, but the pork had too many components for me personally. I would have preferred fewer components and more of each. The meat was perfectly prepared and the artichoke mousse was also excellent. For dessert we had the Schlorzifladen and the Schocko cake. Both were very nicely prepared and tasted excellent. The coffee was also very good and came with Amarettinis. The service was very good even if it was a little short staffed. The two ladies were always friendly and made time for every guest. The chef also made the rounds of the tables twice. I think it's nice when you can see who's doing all the excellent work in the kitchen. It's also worth taking a look at the wine list. Unfortunately we were there by car, but we were allowed to have a glass of open wine.

We enjoyed a wonderful, very tasty 3-course menu in the beautiful gardens. Food is highly recommended, large portions, slightly different dishes that were a pleasure for the eyes and palate. Service was very friendly and we felt very well looked after. We can only recommend the Restaurant Kunsthof and we would be happy to come back.

The Kunsthof is the place to be! The historic building has been renovated in a modern yet reserved manner and is therefore an ideal fit for the young team led by Matthias Wüest. Matthias' kitchen shines with classic dishes and his personal signature, making every plate an experience for the eyes and palate. The service completes this art in a friendly, professional manner and makes a visit to the Kunsthof a lasting event.

Excellent restaurant with very good food and excellent service. We had our wedding dinner here on a small scale, with meticulous attention paid to our needs (including intolerances). We will definitely come back!

The Rösti was only visually okay, unfortunately it wasn't fully fried, and the Zürigschnätzelte wasn't made by a professional chef either, which is a shame.

We were able to celebrate a wonderful wedding at the Kunsthof. The location is fantastic. Our wedding meal was delicious, just like our previous restaurant visits. Cooked and prepared with a lot of love. Staff is very friendly. Simply top. We can only recommend the restaurant, we would celebrate our wedding party again at the Kunsthof in a heartbeat.

Definitely recommended. Atmosphere: upscale, modern and slightly rustic Food: very tasty and really well prepared Price: fully justified for the quality of the food. Dishes range between 30 and 50 CHF. The atmosphere is very upscale. So if you prefer something cozy instead of modern and slightly rustic, this might not suit you so much. First of all, we tried the non-alcoholic house aperitif. Basically a non-alcoholic Hugo (Rimus) with strawberries, mint and lime. If you don't feel like drinking cola etc. you should try this. The food was incredibly good. For starters we had an Italian bread salad with buffalo mozzarella and rocket. Neither of us particularly like arugula, but the dressing went so well with it that I even liked the arugula. For the main course I had the signature dish steak (or something similar) medium rare. The meat was super tender and was easy to cut even with a normal butter knife. As ordered, it came pink and slightly bloody, just as a medium rare should be. There were also capuns and a red wine shallot sauce. These went very well with the meat. I was even asked if I wanted more sauce but the amount was already very good. My friend had the sea bass fillet, which he also really enjoyed. However, the side dishes (risotto and artichoke tomato sauce) weren't quite his thing. For dessert we both had a banana split, which also had banana cream. That makes the whole thing a little more “bananay” but very tasty. All I can say is we will go back. It was very pleasant and tasty. The service was super friendly and the prices are absolutely justified, in our opinion. Maybe next time we can sit outside.

Visited the newly opened Kunsthof today. We received a very friendly welcome and the staff was very nice. At the beginning an aperitif was offered (white wine, beer, prosecco, etc.). If you asked the service staff something, for recommendations or anything else, you got an answer. The food was fantastic and there is something for everyone. It was very nicely presented and the price-performance ratio was definitely right. You can choose between menus and a la carte. As already mentioned, the service staff is very courteous and nice to the guests, you feel comfortable and in good hands. The atmosphere is cozy and yet very modern. You can't miss the large fireplace in the room, which rounds everything off, and the highlight for wine lovers is the wine cabinet, which is also accessible to guests, where you can look at the wines before ordering them. We will definitely visit the Kunsthof again, even in the summer when the outdoor area is open.

Overall, the brunch was very tasty. However, I would have liked more choice of bread or the spelled croissants from Tshirky. There should be more service staff as there is a lot going on and the workers hardly keep up. But the service was generally good.

Very accommodating - friendly - perfect service - very fine, varied food. A restaurant that you would be happy to visit again at any time.

As invited guests, we were able to enjoy a generous and very fine brunch with around 80 other guests.

As a performing magician and mentalist, I was professionally looked after by the service staff. The event manager thinks so that the entertainment can be perfectly integrated into the process. Beautiful event hall accessible by elevator.

Brunch is great... including value for money

What a great space and setting! Thanks to the generous arrangement of the tables, each table has a sense of intimacy. Especially those who don't hear very well will find this a pleasure because there is so little background noise. And the food was also a pleasure, brought by attentive, well-groomed service staff who know their stuff. What a great place, I would love to go there again!

Very fine brunch, nice service, large selection for the money, all Tschirky products, very nice atmosphere, elegant design, only negative point, unfortunately under an old barn roof, which is not well insulated, therefore very hot in the summer, ventilation is not enough.
