Ticino in Lausanne

It was a lovely evening, the decoration of the restaurant was well redone, the service was good and we ate well. I found the bill a little high for the service.

Overpriced fr 5.60 for 2dl of Schweppes!!! To flee

The dishes are excellent. The service is top notch. Fast and very professional. There is a warm atmosphere that reigns throughout the restaurant. We always have a pleasant time there.

Succulent meal, perfect service and very reasonable price

Everything was wonderful, my burger 🍔 was great and my colleagues said that theirs was also very tasty. So I personally can highly recommend this location. Service, even though it was busy, was always available and reliable

We didn't have a reservation, but were accommodated and welcomed warmly by the friendly staff.

Decor that is both modern and warm, you feel comfortable there. Attentive and friendly staff without manners. Cuisine without much pretension but good and in sufficient quantity. A little expensive perhaps if we ignore the particularly convenient location for those traveling by train.

Pizzas are quite expensive for practically the same quality as you can get from cheap chain such as Domino.

Great atmosphere and service but very mediocre food. We ate pizza and pasta. The pizzas are disgusting: I didn’t like either the dough or the filling...( Pasta is just one name. The meat was cooked deliciously, the pasta itself was very cooked. There can be no talk of any “aldente”... The cook clearly did not think that it was necessary to cook the pasta so that after the sauce it would still remain tasty and not soften. Well, especially in the client’s plate. To be honest, we are shocked that for that kind of money you can eat something so bad... We came based on reviews, but were disappointed. The atmosphere and staff brightened up the aftertaste a bit.

Too expensive for what is served. Quality was okay but dishes are too basic: an omelette with few slides of tomatoes 22 CHF? That is excessive. Moreover the waitress accepted our reservation at 14:00h but after they were pushing us to order asap because kitchen was closing. No even the time to properly look at the menu. Not recommended.

Excellent dishes (salad as a starter, roast with pepper and apple tart for dessert). Super fast and friendly service. The only negative point is that it is a noisy place at lunchtime (avoid if you want to talk without "yelling")

I love Ticino. The food is really good and the waiters friendly. On the other hand, avoid Saturday evening if you want to chat quietly. It was really noisy. First time in my life that in a restaurant they celebrated a 4th anniversary...

It was an amazing dinner. All the food was recommended from the waitress, and all was topnotch 👌

The waiter always spoke Italian and did not communicate in English. He felt discriminated against in his cheerful and lively attitude. The lobster spaghetti was very unpalatable and no one could eat it. I asked him to introduce red wine and I got a bottle that was very expensive but tasted very hard to drink. For us, the point is that the meal is very expensive! We maintained positive thinking and etiquette from the beginning to the end. The staff was very friendly and helpful. On the other hand, the quality of the food was not great. I doubt the pizza dough was homemade, it was either overcooked or too hard. Was it frozen? Like torta della nonna and profiteroles? I don't know, but I won't go back.

We first had a drink and then ate. The lady who welcomed us was very smiling and attentive to our needs. The meal was good, more in the average category I would say. We ate pizza. The service was taken over by a gentleman who was less cheerful for my taste. I think my opinion would have been different if we had not been served by Madame upon our arrival.

The service is adorable (I weigh my words!), discreet and efficient. The menu offers pizzas, pastas, meats (including specialties like osso buco), fish... We opted for a forest pizza and vegetable lasagna, it was very good. We really appreciated the "open" wines, served in small 10 cl decanter carafes. The decoration inside is very pretty. Correct prices for Switzerland. A great address where you will be welcomed wonderfully.

Was OK. Nicely decorated place. The fries were soft and probably not fresh. The carbonara was also OK but expected more from this place.

First-class Italian cuisine with a varied menu and extremely successful combinations. Stylish and cozy atmosphere in which you immediately feel at home. Unfortunately we don't know the name of the gentleman who served us, but we know that he is one of the best and friendliest in his industry. Le Ticino is a must visit in Lausanne because fresh Italian cuisine meets excellent hospitality. We haven't been so positively surprised by a restaurant in a long time. Keep it up Le Ticino!

The meal was really good, they serve large quantities. Prices are correct. The waiter on the other hand loved to make jokes and intervene sometimes a little too often...

Very friendly staff who agreed to serve us at 10:40 p.m. (choice of pizza or pasta) while the kitchens were getting ready to close. Bread still served with wine. Well-filled pizza, soft dough, crispy crust. It's not my first visit and it's a safe bet a few meters from the station. Ideal for a snack before your train in a tight schedule or for a longer convivial moment. Brown wood ambiance and decor giving a cozy chalet feel.

For me it is one of the best restaurants in Lausanne. Very accessible because close to the train station and metro stations. The food is always excellent. Let yourself be tempted by the 4 cheese pizza and you will not be disappointed.
