Very nice climbing room, for all levels although the number of intermediate routes could be more, especially with the high traffic in the evenings and weekends. Generally great welcome (a few bad experiences with an employee) with sometimes a bit of a queue at the entrance. Yoga also really good. In summer, be careful of the heat and somewhat minimal ventilation. I recommend, the atmosphere is more family and passionate than in other rooms, I can only hope that other rooms of this type open, for example in Valais :) ❤️

You need to start cleaning and ventilating the place, because it is absolutely filthy! :( Also, the boulders need to be changed more often! Off you go 2x a week, you get bored quickly. Otherwise the staff is nice and the place has a positive vibe.

Staff always nice, friendly and attentive Fairly varied refreshment bar. The terrace is a good place to relax with friends or family. Yoga, fitness, weight training, climbing, moonboarding... birthdays, holiday camps, classes also in the morning (new), babymove, competitions... ...It's a real hub where everyone feels good.

The sneakers smell really disgusting, I wasn't expecting this, I quickly left the playground, it's really disgusting.

For the location and the crew at Totem Ecublens I would and will give 5 stars! ...but... - 1 star because: The air ventilation (exhaust system) doesn't exist?!? - 1 star because: The hygiene is low. There is probably no cleaning agency or dedicated people just cleaning, on a regular basis and I miss this! (I know it is overcrowded quickly but Totem should not neglect this aspect!) This evening was a mess. Once these two big points will be solved I will give even 6 stars to this climbing gym! Cheers Flo

Friendly bouldering room outside opening hours, unfortunately, the routes are only too rarely renewed. Furthermore, ventilation is very non-existent, too bad!

Huge selection of bouldering routes and very well lit. Almost never have to wait to climb. Can be a bit dusty and cold but the beers make up for it :)

The smallest of the 3 boulder gyms in Lausanne but with the best and most varied problem setting by far. Also the only one with an outdoor wall. The training area is very good, I appreciate the moonboard a lot. The music they play is also much better than in the other gyms. My only issue is the usupportable heat in the summer. They really need to improve the heat management and ventilation. Also it would be nice if they kept the outdoor boulders all year long. Its usually not that cold in the winter when the sun is shining on the wall.

My husband and I have been going to this climbing gym for over 2 years now. It’s my favorite climbing gym in the Lausanne area 100%. There’s a good amount of walls and they change the routes at a good frequency. The best part is the staff, they are all super nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend.

Very well maintained bouldering gym. The problems are changed very often and are suitable for everyone from beginner to expert. There is also a sector for muscle strengthening. The staff is very friendly and organizes various courses. The presence of a post-workout bar makes the Totem an excellent place to spend an evening with friends doing sport.

Ok gym for casual climbing and beginners but the routes lacks a bit of variation and creativity

This company is a real ghost, unreachable by phone or email. Do not leave a message, the managers do not follow up. They do not respond to requests (although free) from certain health insurers, which makes reimbursements for prevention very problematic... Good luck to those who have administrative problems of all kinds! Post-mortem: 4 months later the insurance company finally managed to obtain contact with management. The latter's clear refusal to sign a simple agreement so that policyholders contributing to Totem can benefit from reimbursement for prevention purposes. Would management want to hide certain practices or security breaches? No one will know. In the meantime, I would advise everyone to go their own way and register with the direct competitor who sees no problem in signing such an agreement.

Great room but the cheap French core music at full volume is complicated.

Great room! All difficulties and routes evolve over time, it's impossible to get bored.

TOTEM is really good! I love going there with other EPFL students.

Overall it’s a great place to climb. There are problems for every level of skill, and the routes are renewed very often. Most holds are well maintained with some occasional very greasy ones. The gym area is equipped with everything you need plus some more and the lounge are is pleasant. The only reason I don’t give 5 stars it’s because the gym is almost always overcrowded after 17h and it lacks proper ventilation, which only makes it feel more suffocating.

I registered my 4 year old daughter in this climbing center for a week-long camp. I was very disappointed... Place not very suitable for young children, staff (especially one in particular) not at all competent and comfortable with children. The games provided were not suitable (broken BabyFoot handles, wobbly bench and table, etc.) I had no feedback on my daughter's days (what she had for a meal, how the meal went climbing etc…) I wouldn't go again and especially the price is exorbitant for what is offered. I don't recommend.

My 5 year old son had a great time. Some improvements to suggest: Putting a table football is an excellent idea, but to put a table football that does not have the bars that come out to edit the little ones' injuries. I have seen several children who were hurt by being hit in the face. Or else put the table football in a place where little ones don't have access to it. I think taking children who don't speak French poses a security risk. My child jumped down, and at that moment a child who didn't speak French went underneath, because he didn't understand the instructions. Otherwise good atmosphere and experience.

Really nice climbing gym. A big diversity of routes that are changed quite often. Also, a lot of classes to join. There are just some days to avoid as it can become quite overcrowded.

Great bouldering gym with various difficulties of routes, amicable staff, good food and beer selections for après-climb, and a decent little gym on the second floor for workouts outside of climbing. Recommend it!

Great bouldering gym. Reasonable prices with a very competitive price during the week. Route setting is fine. The only bad point recently is the cleaning: both the gym and the changing room were not up to standard might be due to covid

The blocks are cool, good atmosphere and the staff are very friendly.

Perfect for kids (they have their own area) and for adults Training. I was expecting a free trial entrance but nothing is free in Switzerland :-) The second floor has enough gym equipment to strengthen the muscles and get also some aerobic fatigue.

Excellent client attention, climbing routes change very often (twice a week) and cleanliness (very good, you don't finish with black hands as in other climbing installations). Nice place to go with friends, couples, work colleagues or even by yourself! It includes also a small gym on the second floor, which I think is pretty nice for full body work.

Superb climbing gym with very friendly and helpful staff. We had a great time, both suffering on a slope and comforting at the bar!

A good school for beginner climbers. The children were busy with the instructors for about 2 hours. Everything is given in a playful way and when completing tasks, children begin to crawl along the walls))) There is a bar for parents where they can drink coffee lounging on ottomans on the street or in the very center.

Top team! Professionals who know how to welcome and share their passion. Security is excellent. Pure fun. Bouldering is way more fun than grinding your fingers on rocks in the woods. You can practice in all weathers and the atmosphere is always excellent. We came as a family and we will come back...

It's not bad Totem, the climbing is great. On the other hand, the staff is very competent, and some are so dedicated that, if I were pope, they would be canonized immediately!

Great place for climbing, for adults and kids. The kids camps are excellent value for money and offer a lot of diverse activity. Friendly staff, lots of different climbing zones and good beer for afterward! Highly recommended!

Large room with a good atmosphere. The only downside is the great disparity in the route quotations, which make the color system quite unreliable for assessing the difficulty of a given problem.

Very disappointed by the very difficult communication with the room managers, the lack of information regarding the requests made regarding subscription conditions.

Great place, friendly and helpful people. The blocks change regularly, and the level is well adapted As for the food, it's good, fast and of course.... the beer is very, very good :) Often in the evening there are a lot of people and the parking lot is full... but there's not much to do given the success of Totem!

Super Blocks, clean mats and really cushioning! On the other hand, the toilets were a little dirty that day ;) Bravo to Totem for these well-made rooms 🤙

Great place for free climbing and friendly staff. Beer could be better!

Very nice and well organized children's birthday party. Plenty of space to let off steam. The floor is cushioning, different difficulties on the walls. I recommend.

The room is quite large, however there are too many people (tried on a Wednesday evening around 7:00 p.m.), we step on each other and we have to queue to make a lane...

Excellent gym. Problems are very nice, diverse and interesting. However, some details could be a bit better: - I found the mats very hard. I didn't feel secure falling on my back from the top of a boulder, neither falling on my ankles. - training area looks a bit "empty", hangboards aren't placed ideally (no room for advanced core exercices and frontlevers).

Very nice. Good routes of different styles. Nice problems in all difficulty ranges. For me it’s also important that it’s not too dirty, since I often go with our baby - probably the cleanest boulder gym I’ve ever visited! Nice staff also.
