Tropicana Restaurant in Lausanne

We ate here at 16h30 on a Sunday. Ordered char kway teow and claypot tofu, both dishes were decent according to Malaysian standard. It's rare to find food on Sunday at this time so we were pleasantly pleased with the experience. The dining area was spacious, which is rare in Lausanne. Overall experience was good. The waiter was polite and nice.

Frozen dish or too sweet is really not good

the atmosphere is great, the food is delicious and the prices are fair. I recommend 100%.

The seating area is spacious, such a luxury in Lausanne! We ordered 3 dishes on a quiet lunch hour and everything are delicious. The wonton served with noodle are very proper with the thin skin. The noodle was sweet and salty (typical southeast asian flavor combination), but maybe next time I will ask for less sweet). What surprised me was the sour spicy soup, it's a proper 酸辣汤🥰 Will definitely come back again!

Very disappointed! We hadn't been there for almost a year, but the quantities have decreased, the quality has dropped, the flavors are very diluted but the prices have increased.

To avoid. Low-end food, fairly low quality of products. The dishes are tasteless but look pretty on the plate. No taste pleasure, served quickly, friendly staff. Zero flavour most disappointing, don’t waste your money. We purchased Kung Po , Szechuan chicken, Sambal beef all dishes tasted of nothing !!!!

The Nasi Lemak and KL Hokkien Mee was good enough to cure a home sick tummy. Especially if one has not had that taste of thick yellow noodles for a while.

Went here on a Sunday Afternoon. Everything else nearby was closed, and glad that Tropicana was open for us to have some lunch. Ambience feels so much like a Malaysian restaurant, you can already feel it when you enter. Place was tidy and clean. They do offer a wide range of Asian and/or Malaysian dishes and many of them looks so appealing. We ordered Nasi Lemak, Curry Laksa and Wonton Noodle. They were all so delicious and flavourful. They cooked it right so all the dishes have authentic taste. Love love love the food, and Curry Laksa was the star for me. Portion is quite big for us Asians, thus, I think price wise it was worth it. Definitely recommend this place for those of you who craves some authentic Asian dishes while in Lausanne, Switzerland! The food is very decent. The same can be said of the prices, which are more than affordable. The choice is good and varied.

We tried their nasi lemak, laksa curry and chicken satay and enjoyed them very much. The sambal for the nasi lemak was especially tasty, and the best that we’ve tried in Switzerland so far. The owners were very accommodating with our requests to have a non spicy nasi lemak for our kids by replacing the curry chicken portion with fried chicken instead.

The dishes are plentiful and arrive hot. Daily menu at 17 chf with starter and main course. The service is fast, very practical when you are in a hurry. Good value for money.

The curry laksa and nasi lemak were delicious. The rice for nasi lemak could have more coconut milk in my opinion (Malaysian standard), but it was compensated by the sambal. The nasi lemak sambal was so good! Curry laksa was yummy too.

It's a lovely jewel for Switzerland, its cheap so don't expect michelin service, they work hard. Speak to the staff that come from ipoh if you want real Malaysian.

Absolutely terrible service and food!! The server spit in my food right in front of my eyes and then proceeded to lie about it. Please don't support this place, it's truly unethical. The food was absolutely disgusting too - I was unable to eat it!

The restaurant was very busy this Friday lunchtime, but I was surprised by the speed of the service (we were 2 people) and the quality of the food was excellent.

The dish was good but the service was terrible. I would not recommend this restaurant. I felt very uncomfortable especially when you wait 20 minutes to be able to pay. It was awful !

The dishes ordered online arrived with sauce spilled in the bag, a place setting was missing, none of us finished our dish because they were too disappointing (not excruciatingly bad but not good enough to force ourselves), and the The stomach weighed heavily until the next day. Much too expensive for this "quality". Very disappointed.

I hated Dynasty. I hate this room which is like a canteen and which is extremely noisy. However, last week I ate delicious spring rolls there and the beef with peanut sauce was very tender. I think I'll try again.

Since the name change, the dishes have been much blander. Avoid beef that makes latex and chicken that comes from Brazil. Apart from the ice cream, the desserts are not great. The waitress was really strange and didn't understand what we were saying to her.

Since the Dynasty changed its name (owner?) The dish I had as well as the dessert were just not good.

New name, Tropicana! Very good restaurant, the Peking duck menu is really great. The pleasant and smiling staff. A real pleasure. We'll come back!

Restaurant with plenty of space - inexpensive - excellent dishes - efficient service. I was with a friend and she had a dog. The restaurant agreed that the dog could go inside. The staff is very friendly and smiling. This is one of the best Asian restaurants in Lausanne for me. It is located on the second floor of a building and offers a view of rue Saint François. It is located in the center of Lausanne and accessible by many public transport

The welcome is cordial, the service is fast. I come here for the Peking duck menu which is very good at a fair price. The atmosphere is a bit sober for a Chinese restaurant. I would happily return.

The food is not chinese at all. Maybe chinese food adapted to European expectations by adding glutamates and other additives. I got quite some stomach ache after eating here and was not able to sleep well at night. I do not recommend it.

The service is bad. The food there is ok, but it doesn’t represent real Chinese food.

Good Asian food at moderate prices.

We ate very well. What we liked the most is being able to order a meat dish and accompany it with rice, as if it were a combined dish. It is not excessively expensive and there is a sufficient quantity. With one plate you won't leave hungry. The correct service and treatment. If we pass through Lausanne again, we will surely repeat.

They've tried to charge more by adding a plate we did not order. The service is so so. Double check your bill before leaving... The food is ok nothing special.

Pretty good restaurant with a big variety of Asian foods. Service is good, you don't wait too long but if you want a great looking restaurant then it might not be a good choice, as much as it might be lacking in looks I think it makes up with food.
