Tschingg in Zürich

I only went there for its pasta because it was recommended by a friend of mine. Pasta is pasta so I wasn’t expecting much. But surprisingly, it was good and the pasta had a nice texture. The service was good and they were true Italians as they spoke the language to each other. It is also like a very small local store where they sell fruits and vegetables. All in all, a quick place to get good pasta in Oerlikon.

For about two years I went to Tschingg every Monday at lunchtime to get my food. The food used to be consistently good, then there was a price increase (which is ok if the food tastes good...) However, since then, about a year ago, the food is no longer good. Like Russian Roulette whether your pasta is good or terrible... Unfortunately not recommended

I visited the inviting restaurant for a coffee (in the end there were several :)) and was greeted warmly at the counter. After a very good first "chat", I already felt like the newest regular customer and enjoyed my coffee in the harmoniously furnished passageway to the inner courtyard (there are also a few tables in the inner courtyard - interesting for all smokers). After a second coffee, I was happy to marvel at the colorful fruit display that filled the restaurant with fine aromas and not to be too tempted. I'm looking forward to coming back!

Very friendly service 👍🏼 Large selection of pasta dishes with homemade sauces. In my opinion, the price/performance ratio is right. I chose pasta with Bolognese. The small portion is available from 15.50 and the large one for 16.50. A portion of cheese and hot sauce is included in the price. A drink costs CHF 20, which is completely acceptable in Zurich. Gladly again 😉

Tschingg in Oerlikon was good, is good and remains good. Good stop if you need to go quickly but don't want to go to the King or the Clown. You can never go wrong with Tschingg unless you don't like pasta😉

Pasta was bland and overpriced. Absolutely not authentic Italian cuisine.

One star is already too many! Very disappointing - has nothing to do with Italian cuisine. There is definitely something wrong with you. Unfortunately I can't recommend it any further.

The worst penne bolognese I've ever tried. I'll definitely never come back for pasta! However, the staff was nice.

16.- for a not fine carbonara - definitely too expensive and not worth the money. I can't recommend it!

Excellent food but the seats and tables are mostly high barstool types, which might be uncomfortable for longer stays. Good for a quick lunch or take-away

I think I have found the best gelatins. In any case, chocolate and Amarena are unbeatable.

Opening times could be updated. Then you could save yourself the hassle. Closes at 5 p.m. on Saturday

Excellent pasta and and forthcoming, friendly staff, even in hectic moments. You can feel that everyone cares deeply about the quality of the food and giving their guests the best possible experience. Will be coming back, for sure.

An amazing restaurant in the heart of Zurich, Oerlikon that has great pasta! Strong, flavourful sauces and beautiful, fresh ingredients fill this fragrant shop/takeaway.

Solid quality as always! Since this takeaway was a companion to my cantonal school days, it has a nostalgic touch for me.

Great pasta, but please stop putting so much olive oil into your carbonnara, it's amazing without it!

I've been eating lunch at Tschingg for years and keep discovering new, fine pasta creations. It's just a shame there are no longer large portions. :)

Very very very good pasta!! Had lunch there for years. Unfortunately, they are making their food more and more expensive and have changed some recipes. (Fungi was my favorite but unfortunately it got less and less good..).

One of my favorites. During the summer days I loved the homemade ice creams. Chocolate ice cream beats everything I've ever known.

Cool, the fresh fruits and vegetables here. High quality and affordable. The white peaches are my favorite (when in season).

A great thing. At lunchtime there is good food to eat there or take away. The gelati are also recommended. Cappuccino or espresso is always recommended for a short pit stop.

Fine pasta! And extremely great hot sauce! Sometimes the pasta people don't spread the sauce so well.. :-(

Pasta was overcooked and bland. It had such good reviews that we went there and were quite disappointed. The only noodles they have is penne and they cook it into a mush where you can't even distinguish the individual noodles. Wouldn't visit again, wasn't terrible or anything but even supermarket take away pasta tastes better.

They always make penne and I don't like the shape at all. The sauces are very tasty but I would be incredibly happy if you changed the shape of the pasta more often. :) more variety would be very good and my friends agree with me

Ate pasta with mushrooms for lunch. Normal portion more than enough for me. Food was ok, not that spicy and a bit dry. But received quickly and very cheaply priced. Suitable for takeaway as it is scooped into appropriate take-away packaging.

It was alright, nothing special. It was hard for me to get understood, as a non-German speaker. I specially asked for a sauce, and they served me another one. Oh well. The carbonara was good, but the price was higher then expected

Fast, friendly, inexpensive, the pasta was unfortunately a bit dry and bland, the dining area was unfortunately not completely tidy/clean. Overall the dining area could be upgraded.

WOW! It's difficult to find such good pasta in Zurich. The choice is wide, the fruit juices are excellent and the atmosphere is really nice. I also stopped by the new Tschingg in Stauffacher, congratulations on the design of the place!

Now there are only the large daily menus, which now means around 40% food waste per portion. Everyone is fighting for less food waste, only Tschingg is crazy. Just ask for 1 Fr more, but don't charge everyone for 2. That's really sick!

On a positive note, it's cheap. Unfortunately, it's also cheap on a negative note.

Good pasta for little money in the middle of the city of Zurich.

Wounderful italian take away. You get simple pasta, sandwhiches salad and they're all freshly made for you! Lovely ambience and reasonably priced.
