I had to take back my good feedback, because of an incident, which is a total no-go! My partner ordered a soup with adding noodles, but that is not on their menu and the waitress did not like my partner’s wish and gave the fake smile and rolled her eyes and accepted it. That was not it, then they purposely let us wait longer for our food when everyone else got their food first. What a way to treat your guests, never ever! Apparently the person who is usually in charge was not there also.

This restaurant is a must, my favorite, a place of good food, always worth a visit. The food was authentic and the restaurant was very cozy. Since the last time, there has been improvement, and the dishes are restocked more frequently. All-you-can-eat buffet for 25chf at lunchtime, with a drink.

I stopped by to eat basil at this place. The flavor is very strong. It's been a long time since I've been here and I haven't eaten Thai food. When I was able to eat this flavor, I was very happy. The brothers are very cute and kind. As a Thai student living in Switzerland, I do miss the taste of authentic Thai food. This place surely delivers! I did order À la carte rather than a buffet so they made it as spicy as I request.

The one lady in service is catastrophically unfriendly. It's pretty questionable why such a person is even allowed to serve.

The waitress was bizarrely rude when I asked about an allergen in the curry paste. Completely unnecessary, nobody chooses to be allergic to something. In conclusion, the green and red curry paste contains crustaceans. The pad thai was good tho and they do have some fully vegetarian and vegan dishes listed clearly.

Delicious Thai food with reasonable prices!

Every now and then I order Friedrice or Green Thai Curry. It was always good and you can also order with Swiss chicken.

Reserved spontaneously for 10 people - this was made possible without any problems, the service was friendly, courteous and quick, the food was authentic and delicious. And all of this at a fair price. We'd love to come back!

The food was delivered after 2 hours (instead of the stated 30 minutes). Baby wakes up again thanks to the bell and the food is cold.

We can't rate the food as we left the restaurant beforehand. The manager of the house treated us so rudely that we didn't feel like staying there any longer. A follow-up course on how to deal with guests would certainly not hurt the establishment. In contrast to the management, the staff was quite friendly.

I ordered through JustEat when staying in a nearby hotel. There was quite a delay in delivery but I believe this may have been due to JustEat, I did not receive contact but I phoned the restaurant and they sent the food quickly after. The food was delicious. - Pad thai (with tofu - vegan) and pad kaproaw with tofu pictured. Portions were large and the food was fresh, hot, and delicious.

Give it 4 because there were quite a few people. The service could be better and the dishes are cleared slowly. But what doesn't work in my opinion is that there is no cutlery to take out the food, as you can see in the photos. You could also change the cutlery and not use the same for the starter and main course. Food is OK and nicely prepared. I find value for money rather slightly expensive.

Food is not always the same, has fluctuations - but solid. Unfortunately, the “delivery services/Uber etc.” have increased so much that it is no longer possible to get through at the entrance. It then becomes loud and unpleasant in the restaurant. The service then also suffers greatly, as more time is invested in managing the delivery services than in the guests. A pity

The shop looked inconspicuous from the outside, but it's worth ordering or going there to eat. We ordered on the spot and it took about 20 minutes for it to be ready. The food was extremely good and tasty. The price of the restaurant is also totally fair. The service was very friendly. The inside of the shop is very nicely decorated, making it easy to eat with friends or family.

The papaya salad was very good, but the fried noodles with beef was more of a fitness plate as half the plate was salad. Price performance at the upper limit.

Favorite Thai to order food. I did never eat in the location, but ordered several times for take-away. Food is fresh, ingredients have great quality, even Swiss-based chicken is offered for a little uptick. I can recommend the Mi Sua and the Pad Med Mamuang.

The food is nice but the staff is a little unfriendly. Yesterday we called them because our order didnt come for 2 hours And my daughter called them and they said my daughter is not honest just because she didn't know the name of the order and spoke disrespectful. Please be thankful for people ordering your food and learn how to speak with minors.

We went out to eat on a Friday evening without making a reservation. Luckily there was still a table available and we were warmly welcomed. The service was courteous but not intrusive. The food was absolutely a feast for the palate. I can only warmly recommend Pad Kapraow. A successful evening in one of my favorite restaurants in Basel.

Meal: lunch buffet was good; it was quickly replenished. Quality fine for buffet style; no high expectation. A la carte for dinner looks much better. Atmosphere: much nicer than expected, seeing it many times while passing by. Service: the ladies were smiling and very nice! Quick response to requests.

I was pleasantly introduced to tuk tuk in Basel and I have experienced some of the tastiest and most authentic Thai dishes whilst being here. Service is friendly and food is incredible, the laab was the most authentic and served with the weight spice amount I had requested. I have also visited the buffet a few times and the food is scrumptious, would recommend and a worthwhile walk from the main drag to experience good food. Thank you, tuk tuk team

Ordered via Uber, delivery would have been between 5.55pm and 6.15pm, I called the restaurant at 6.30pm. They informed me that uber would be responsible for the delivery. At 6:40 p.m. I contacted uber, who in turn contacted the restaurant with feedback that the delivery had been canceled. Horrible service! Never again!

Overall, the lunch buffet was impressive. The amount of new food that was filled did not correspond to the number of people milling around the buffet. The ambience is rather functional.

Take-away super quick and very tasty

The food was good and looked fresh and colorful. The portion was large, perhaps the amount of rice could be increased a little. My wish for Thai spiciness was thankfully fulfilled. The prices are slightly higher than other take-aways. Unprofessional order processing via Just Eat. The order is long since ready, but it still shows the original pickup time (which leaves me wandering around the neighborhood while the food sits around). The waitress reacts unreasonably to my advice.

The last few visits for lunch have seen long waits for the food to be refilled at the buffet. They bring some food and then it goes immediately because everyone is waiting and they actually don't bring much out. It is particularly bad for vegetarians. There is only ever plain rice, fried rice, noodles and a tofu dish (plus the spring rolls). When I arrived there was only plain rice. I waited ages for more food to come out, only for it to disappear immediately. I gave up waiting and left without any of the tofu dish, my takeaway box being 50% plain rice (with no sauce to put on it) and the rest was fried rice and noodles. At this point the fried rice and noodles had disappeared again so I could only fill up my box with plain rice. This used to be a good little place for a quick lunch but it is too much of a hassle these days to go for lunch, and there are better places for dinner. Note that there are no vegan options for the lunch buffet and they will not take orders from the menu at lunch.

One of a good authentic Thai restaurant in the area. Great service and friendly staff. Nice atmosphere and location. They accept both cash and card payment.

Very authentic Asian cuisine. Can't find anything negative at all. The plates are decorated with a lot of love. Price-performance is right. There is also a great selection of vegan dishes. I will gladly come again...

Very fresh product like in Thailand

We tried to call and make a reservation 3 times, the phone was disconnected. Online booking worked. Greetings and service, no German and certainly not friendly and the food was more than disappointing. Frozen beans and frozen peas in Thai curry. Rice was cold by the time the curry arrived. The service not only didn't speak German but was also inattentive, the restaurant was also visibly very careless and we had to register the bill 3 times and decided to pay at the counter after 40 minutes. Billing couldn't be more unfriendly. Actually a ⭐️ . We'll cook ourselves again next time

Most authentic Laab Gai i ever had outside of Thailand. Recommended.

The food was very good, really Thai and delicious. Unfortunately, a slightly older service employee with a somewhat deep voice was very unfriendly, which spoiled my visit and the mood. However, the other female employee was very friendly and accommodating. Therefore “only” two stars. It's a shame...you could do more with it...

The food was fine, but not quite worth the price. However, the rating is primarily due to the service: the service was not particularly polite, small changes (such as half a portion, a different side dish) were not possible, or only at an additional charge. In addition, you were not “allowed” to move the tables because it supposedly disturbed the neighboring table, even though no one was sitting there. You were also looked at askance if you placed your plates differently than the waitress suggested... All in all: you can do it, but you don't have to.

Food is very good but the service especially the chef of the service could be way more friendly. They always give you the feeling you are not welcome and are kinda rude...

Thai food, very average buffet menu at 27 CH per person, the quality was average. The the place was neat and clean. The service as buffet was OK... They explained that normally quality is better when it is not buffet

This Thsi restaurant is very close to the appartement of our daughter Florianne, and view days before we walked trough and it was full of guests. So this evening after a visit of the twi lakes at Inter Laken, we decide to have a meal at Tuk Tuk. It was good but still expensive as we normal paid in our country the Netherlands. And very expensive when you are on Langkawi st Malaysia. Than you get 3times more for 5tes less money. But for swiss okay.

Amazing food. Such a shame that the service was so awful. Agressive, rude, and inefficient. The menus were thrown at us…the staff were not happy to work there. We were so shocked as we have travelled all over Thailand and have eaten at heaps of Thai restaurants and have never been received so badly. The food was absolutely delicious but I cannot recommend due to the staff.

-Forgot starter -The main course was missing the Thai eggplants. When asked, raw ingredients were added. Service wasn't the friendliest.

For 23 CHF, lunch at the buffet is quite cheap by Swiss standards. You can drink as much as you want and a drink is also included. There is also a salad buffet and a fruit salad as dessert.

We spent a very nice evening in the TukTuk. The employees were all very well placed despite the restaurant being full. One of the most authentic Thai restaurants in Basel. We always enjoy coming back and are happy to recommend you! The price/performance ratio is right.
