Utopia coffee (Eaux vives) in Genève

The apple pancakes were just excellent, plus real and good coffee! Amazing breakfast/brunch spot. Only note is that the seating space is right and gets a bit uncomfortable after a while. Otherwise the food is just amazing!

I tasted a "house blend" espresso there: fruity notes had been mentioned, but it was too acidic for my taste, far from what is served in a typical Italian bar. But maybe this is a new trend?

I do wish for more vegan treats but super delicious coffee makes up for it! Cute, good atmosphere, maybe a little too much banging of dishes but the counter is open so it can't really be helped. Always great and friendly service.

No.1 decaf coffee in Geneva. I used to visit Utopia once a week. I also recommend decaf coffee milk shake as well👍 But to be honest, I had experienced one time that coffee was dull and milk shake was also melted and not foamy. (at that time we ordered decaf latte and normal coffee milkshake) It wasn’t as good as usual actually. We couldn’t enjoy them and even couldn’t finish our drinks. I believe all the female staff are so skillful making a coffee but one the male staff need more experience or improvement perhaps. But still Utopia is our favorite coffee shop. Keep it up!

Here you can order a toast with three slices of goat cheese for 15.- CHF. But since there's spinach salad and two or three slices of pears, it's okay. The waitress is very nice, but I can't believe she recommended us to have this toast which leaves me hungry XD

Great breakfast with friendly staff, in a small intimate space. Weekday breakfast starts at 9:30, not 9:00. Excellent vegan pastries as well

Outstanding specialty coffee, best place after trying most of them in Geneva. After many years on the specialty coffee world it’s not easy for me to find a place that lives up to my expectations, utopia coffe clearly exceeded them. Just go for it and try it!

Breakfast served cold. Turkish eggs served cold and hard boiled. Eggs benedicts served cold on cold brioshe. This place has no proper kitchen, they make meals behind rhe caunter so don’t expect good food.

Small coffee shop with a cool atmosphere. There are classics on the menu with a fairly wide choice of pastries. Small terrace in front of the café but also at the back. Pleasant service!

So calming cafe and cosy for breakfast

Coffee is really good, staff is wonderful. It's always a pleasure to go there, even just to say hi when passing by!

After testing the Coffee Shop on rue St Jean, we decided to try the Brunch aux Eaux Vives. The menu is so tempting that we want to take everything. You can go there with your eyes closed, it's a real treat. The products are top quality, everything is prepared on site. The staff is really super friendly and will be able to give you very good advice. We will come back without hesitation.

The place is nicely decorated! We had pancakes with red fruits, they were ok, it felt like they were not fully cooked tho. The woman who took our order was not friendly at all, while trying to order she ignored us to chat someone else and when asked about plant based milk she wasn't even looking at us and just sighed... we felt uncomfortable.

The coffee is good however the service is lousy, no smile or thank you after tipping

This cafe quickly became one of my favorite corners of Geneva. Not only thanks to the excellent coffee they serve (the Cortados and flat whites stand out), but also due to the attention to detail and good vibes of the friendly baristas like Marion. Highly recommended!

Good coffee, well roasted. The Colombian “Castillo” tasted has a good balance in its light roast. Beautiful fruity notes for a fairly mild coffee in the cup. Don't worry about the fairly clear extraction once in a cup, this is normal. A good coffee to introduce the layman to coffee. To be preferred in gentle extraction.

Marion is the best! she is always offering us the best options, she really cares about the costumer and she's really nice, also, she speaks spanish too! I love utopia and coffee is great. Highly recommended

I recommend this cafe in Geneva because my experience at Utopia is always very good. The quality of what they serve is great, and the coffee they serve is amazing. What catches my attention the most and I consider the best is the treatment of the staff, very kind and friendly. Especially Marion, who is always very happy and friendly, and even tries to speak Spanish with me when I go! He has also recommended some type of coffee to me and is always interested in the customers' opinions.

Without any exaggeration, Utopia's coffee is un-matched at least inGeneva! Make sure it is made by Marrion (the most talented barista I've ever met). Her coffee making is so consistent, as she treats it as her own cup of coffee. I had a decaf flat white, and it was so tasty. My wife and I are definitely coming back again and again.

Cold coffee delivered spilled by a server with a sour attitude. First and last visit. I just arrived the day prior to Geneva, gave my coffee order in my beginners French (I’m trying!) awful attitude from the server and then left my dine in coffee cup on the counter, while I was sitting 1 meter away and so it went cold before she finally carried it over?! (she never waved or indicated me). I don’t understand why you would want to put off what could be a potential new regular .. you have flat white on the menu and sign with English words out the front, so assuming you cater for anglophiles who don’t speak perfect French yet. Disappointing.

Huge disappointment ! This morning I order a banana bread with my coffee which turns out to be dry and stuffy at the first bite. I point this out to the waiter who offers to heat it (I don't see what that will change but let's admit) obviously it doesn't change anything. I tell the waiter that I am very disappointed with this cake, he replies: it happens! 😳 I don't have time anymore, I'm asking for a bag to take it with me, it will do the trick for my cat. Handing me the bag, the waiter added, “You can try it at home with yogurt! I dream ! At no time did he offer to change it and offer me another cake. Amazing ! Never seen this in a store.
