The first time I came it was extraordinary the second time it became average and the third fourth and five times they didn't even bother to remember my reservation or even come and note it and to my When we arrived, nothing was ready and the fifth one. They didn't even say that we could notify the customer that we were missing ingredients, so I had to travel four times for nothing to plan the boxes for a service that I like, the word mediocre would be a compliment which is a shame is that we are good once and we are not constant that's the problem of Geneva and people who think that everything is acquired so for me it doesn't even deserve a star

Beautiful atmosphere, we traveled during the lunch break to Morocco. The chicken couscous was delicious and the welcome was warm. I will come back to taste the other dishes on the menu.

Small, very welcoming, simple, very clean restaurant. Lemon chicken tagine very very good and vegetarian couscous also.

I ordered a lamb shank tagine, and I was very disappointed to see the dish which was not even well garnished for the price and without any accompaniment. With a small bowl of semolina in addition I got it for 46 Fr.. I am shocked for three prunes, two apricots and three large pieces of walnuts thrown on a lamb shank.

I don’t know why in Geneva no restaurant is capable of making good couscous. Only individuals know how to do it correctly. As for the portions, they are generous. On the other hand, the vegetables are tasteless and the meatballs are industrial. Only semolina is good. I won't come there anymore

First and last time! We've been wanting to try this couscous bar for a while and just had a couscous and a tagine to take away. According to the menu, the tagine is accompanied by homemade bread. Back home, we had the unpleasant surprise to discover that the “homemade bread” was in fact a common industrial white bread (see photo) and that the tagine consisted of a few meatballs and an egg floating in tomato sauce… At 29 CHF per dish, we certainly won't go back!

Update January 2024 : Just been again for evening meal at Uuma. Still our favourite couscous restaurant. So good! Lovely staff too. Thank you ! Went to Uuma for Sunday brunch this weekend. As others have said, the place has a lovely atmosphere and super nice staff (who were really nice with my son who was hot and hungry!). Delicious brunch too. Varied and tasty. Will definitely be back for couscous days during the week!

Having known the restaurant from the beginning, the quality has really gone down - the vegetables really didn't have a good taste or smell.. disappointed we hope it will improve but for the moment no plans to return….

For regulars of the restaurant since its opening, we are very disappointed!! The quality of couscous is constantly deteriorating... for my part it is couscous balls which at first were exquisite and now all dry and hard and the vegetables in water without even the taste of broth and dry semolina without sauce. Really disappointed! And at the price of couscous we really expect to eat real Moroccan couscous like at the beginning 😞 but it’s the big disappointment!!! The little one took a chicken skewer plate which was dry and lacked seasoning. I hope they will do it again because the concept is just great for a city like Geneva.

I recommend! I ate a good chicken lemon tagine, the portion size was small but sufficient. The pastries are really excellent and the tea too. The setting is pretty, the service was great with kindness and a smile. The only small flaw is that the chairs are very pretty but really uncomfortable.

Never again Üüma! We were very excited about eating oriental cuisine. But the experience will prove catastrophic and will certainly not be repeated to the extent that the unforgivable happened. Let's start at the beginning. A more than obvious lack of comfort with an installation on a table made for 2 people while there were 3 of us. Stools not very comfortable to sit on for an entire meal. Long order taking despite a room that was far from full. Couscous is a convivial and family dish which must be served generously (it remains semolina and vegetables in absolute terms!!!) the plates lack consistency and the couscous is drowned in the sauce despite a request to serve the sauce separately when taking orders. The vegetables were seriously undercooked. (Carrots and zucchini much too firm). The restaurant has no atmosphere. (A background of Berber music would be nice). To make matters worse, 2 out of 3 of us were sick that day, diagnosed with food poisoning. Our royal couscous has something in common!!! On the dock, merguez and kofta. Unfortunately, we will never know which of the two is at the origin of our misfortune. The positive points are: The strength of the couscous bar concept The pleasure of seeing young people having a business. Staff who want to be friendly. My recommendations: Taste what you serve (raw vegetables). Review hygiene more than ever or, failing that, in your defense, the choice of your meat supplier. Put on background music with oriental notes to reinforce the idea of ​​a culinary journey. Serve generous plates and offer a doggybag. People will advertise you for free when you ask them the next day at the office where they bought their couscous which looks so good! Good luck despite everything.

Tried for the first time, nice decor, but the value for money leaves something to be desired. 30- couscous with veal, few vegetables, semolina drowned in broth... a particular taste of soap in the mouth... to ultimately end up with FOOD POISONING! I will have a hard time going back 🤢

Everything there was really delicious. The dishes are tasty. Very hearty Royal Couscous even without the supplements. Just missing small plates to eat the starters that we share. The welcome is warm. I will go back there.

Just wonderful! I discovered this couscous bar with my husband. Having origins ourselves, we are often afraid of being disappointed (whether it is either too bland or not cooked enough, etc.) Honestly, go there with your eyes closed!! We ate at uuma concept with colleagues this evening. The dishes, the decor, even the friendliness of the servers, everything is perfect. A varied choice of dishes, quality products and a decoration reminiscent of the magnificent country of Morocco. The harira is so tasty not to mention the kofta tagine which is incredibly good. The only big negative point is that when you enter this restaurant, it is difficult to leave… 😂 By far one of the best, if not the best, in Geneva 😉 See you soon

This restaurants needs to be considered for two options - either their couscous or their tajine. Their tajines are scrumptious with the chicken being my absolute favourite - definitely by far my favourite tajine experience. I am not a big fan of couscous in general, and opinions may vary depending on your preferences and how much couscous you’ve had. However the common points that are always great are the quality and freshness of the ingredients - that is something Uuma does great. Prices are to the level of Swiss standards, and I must admit that I find the tajines slightly pricey albeit they are truly high quality. Overall my experience there was great with absolutely lovely staff!

Brilliant concept. Beautiful culinary journey, varied and healthy choice, friendly service and very reasonable prices. Just perfect ! This restaurant also has an awesome Sunday brunch (which is now on my favorites list). You have the choice between a formula and à la carte dishes. The formula set at 45.- includes a tagine of your choice (notably kefta or lemon chicken) which is served with a fairly thick (and delicious) pancake as well as 3 Moroccan breads (msemen, bagjrir or pancake with a thousand holes and bot bot). The breads are served with accompaniments of your choice including honey, argan, amlou or even scrambled egg). The formula also includes a large cup of mint tea. The service is attentive, super warm and attentive. This address is truly a pearl and a breath of fresh air in Eaux-Vives. This brunch took me back a few years during one of my trips to Morocco. All the dishes are tasty and authentic, we feel that the products are of quality I can only recommend it to anyone wanting to get a taste of Moroccan cuisine.

Nothing to say about the welcome, the service and the food! The couscous is very hearty and we can feel Morocco in our dishes, no tourist trap :) it’s a shame there aren’t more choices of tagines.

Hard to rate this place anything but 5 stars - great portions which really make you feel like you're getting your money's worth (uncommon in Geneva), always served by two guys in a great mood and with a big smile, and simply delicious couscous.
