Vanini Swiss Chocolate since 1871 in Lugano

Ugh! very expensive for a disappointing experience, we expected so much better from a “Swiss chocolatier” I hope that the dove purchased for Easter will be up to the task! Disappointed

Next to the ice cream bar is this shop selling fresh chocolate and leavened products. There are different types of breaking chocolate, as well as pralines and decorated chocolates. You can also buy panettone all year round, along with seasonal products such as colombe and marron glace. The staff is nice enough and the products are good.

It was a rainy Sunday, most of the markets were closed because it was Sunday, but sitting and drinking tea or coffee in the courtyard was beautiful😍

Dark chocolate is great. Prices are normal for Switzerland. You cannot compare with prices in Italy or other countries.

Very very expensive chocolate (about €100/kg), but a lot of lovely special tastes. Nice to buy just some pieces to give it a try🥰 We came back a few hours later to buy more, but unfortunately they were closed around noon😢

Never have I left a club and felt so disappointed. They brought me a club sandwich where the bread looked like it had been toasted a few days ago, the chicken was the big absentee, what was supposed to be bacon was so hard I couldn't cut it and the egg looked terrible. All for 33 francs. I'm sorry that an establishment of this level can make use of an Italian brand. Vanini do something!

OMG THE BEST milk chocolate ice cream/gelato EVER! One young guy waited on a young hot chick before I was waited on, & she came in a while after I did, & I had been standing there a while, but the guy who did wait on me, a taller guy who had dark hair, was super nice to me. I loved this treat! I went 3 times while in Switzerland! Just don't let your ego get bruised if they wait on someone else before you, haha!

77 CHF for normal chocolate. Vastly overrated.

phenomenal chocolates, 6.5CHF 100g chocolate that breaks off the board, amazing, great combinations (white chocolate with forest fruits, milk chocolate with lemon flavored crystals....)

The chocolate is really good with a wide and tasty assortment. Ice cream also defends itself well. The prices are high, but it is still a place in the center, therefore unapproachable for the average Italian tourist. Small bag of assorted chocolate: 10 fr. Medium ice cream cone: 7 fr.
