Polite, friendly staff, one greeted me in Arabic, I really appreciate it👍🏻 The Cesar salad was excellent crispy, fresh and fantastic dressing. Simply delicious!! Always my pleasure.

Simple but good food. I love the fresh pasta and the concept of how one orders food is super.

The experience is overall positive, and the food was good. The portions are a bit small if you are someone who likes to eat a decent meal after working a whole day. For most people the portion sizes are adequate and the experience is overall nice.

We were there on Monday and it was totally stress-free. Unfortunately, the weekend is extremely overcrowded. Pizza was 👍

You can always rely on Vapiano Sihlcity. Been there 4-5 times. I celebrated my birthday in front of the cinema last year with 7 people invited. There is a lot to choose from at different cooking points where you can watch directly. : (such as pizza, pasta dishes, desserts, and your own creations that you can put together or adapt yourself.) You pay using the contactless card that you receive upon entry and finally have a final bill on this card. Which you pay when you leave. There is also a bar area. The atmosphere is more rustic and modern. The chefs are nice and know what they are doing. Thanks for that Service personnel set up and forwarding.

I have visited this restaurant many times, but my most recent visit was the most pleasant of all. The lady working at the front desk was very helpful and kind to me. I came for a cup of tea while I fed my little baby girl. I needed some hot water and milk to make the baby food, and again the lady from the front desk was incredibly thoughtful, asking me exactly how she could hear the milk and prepare the hot water. She also was sweet with my baby, smiling at her and entertaining her a little. As a busy mum, being treated with such warmth was a great feeling. Often, staff are too busy to give you the help you need and this was certainly not the case here. In general, the facilities for families are great and the food never disappoints. I love this restaurant. Thank you!

The food really is delicious! We had our dishes prepared in-front of us within 5 minutes, chefs were friendly and fun.

Waiting times are an absolute disaster, although this concept was intended to prevent that. In the end you wait at the counter for 30 minutes, so I'd rather sit at a table for 30 minutes and wait for the food than stand around stupidly...

Food was amazing, girl who gave us purchase card not the best. She gave me 3 cards in 3 separate occasions. 1x when we enter 1x when I went for a smoke, even after I said I already have 1. She said it’s 1 per person. 1x when I waited next to the stairs while my wife and son while they were in the bathroom I’m already inside the restaurant why keep giving me cards? Is it because I’m dark skin you thought I won’t pay?

Unfortunately, I have to award few stars for the food and environment. Not only was the food not of good quality, but the tables were also not clean. We ordered a calcone pizza. The mushrooms and cheese looked like they were not cooked enough, almost raw, and the unclean tables added to our disappointment. The dough was overcooked. The tomato sauce with the Prosciutto had a sour taste. Overall we were disappointed with the quality of the food. 😒

Seriously! That cake called 'Death by Chocolate' is just disappointing! It is the worst chocolate cake or chocolate dessert I have ever had. It is surely a death by disappointment though! If that is their intention!

We go to Vapiano every now and then because my children like the airplane pasta and the “rabbit ear pizza”. I think the pizza is a bit too thin and the filling is exact to the gram. I think the pasta is great, large selection and always new variations. The portions could be a little larger. I always take a double portion of pasta. Depending on the chef, the dishes vary greatly. Tip: always watch someone prepare it beforehand and then order it.

Today I had a very fine Go lunch at Vapiano Zurich and I ordered pasta with pesto rosso, extra beef and a Coca Cola small glass 0.3 side dish of salad with Italian sauces and I personally think it was very fine and I would like to eat there again

A pizza shouldn't take another 5 minutes. Just stand there after baking. The pizzas were also swapped. And the guest pager was already ringing even though the pizza wasn't ready yet. For 17.50 a Margharita I expect better quality. The staff lacks catering experience.

The restaurant experience was disappointing. The table was dirty, the drinking glass was sticky (we changed it), the food was tasteless and bland. Our first visit today, at 6pm, was disappointing and we don't plan on eating there again.

The pasta is freshly prepared. I come here very often to eat, our favorites are Camberi e Spinaci with tagliatelle and pizza salami. It's always delicious. Self-service restaurant

Neither the pasta nor the cream sauce were seasoned or at least salted. I got pasta with garlic, onions and cream. It wasn't enjoyable. But the service staff is extremely friendly and attentive, they saved my evening with a coffee and a smile.

I've been there about 4 to 5 times now and have tried different pizzas, pasta dishes and the lasagne. I've always been quite satisfied so far, but last time the pizza al tartufo was a bit strong in taste and very greasy (wasn't my favorite). This time the lasagna wasn't quite what I was used to. Strangely, it was quite runny on top, as if the tomato sauce was too watery and unfortunately it wasn't that hot inside. It was ok to eat and I was hungry. Otherwise in general I can recommend Vapiano, waiting times were never too long, there were always free places and the staff is friendly.

Reservation despite confirmation by phone did not work. Nobody at the entrance knew. Food ok, service is not really there. Ambience is comparable to a modern canteen.

Freshly prepared food. Fast servicing time especially since they are cooking your pasta before your eyes. Worth it for lunches do not be startled by the queue it goes really fast. Then you have fresh Food customed to your Taste 🎈 I loved the pommegranate drink.

So I did not eat here. Was waiting on a first date to arrive. I was a bit early and wanted a place to chill, have a tea. Really cool atmosphere, chilled, not to noisy, super friendly staff. If it's your first time there, they have an unusual system. You walk in the door and are given a credit card sized card. Instead of them remembering your table to calculate your total cost, you go to different stalls and tell them what you want, they scan your card. Ie drinks, go to the bar, food, go to a food stall. And when you leave they scan your card at the door and you pay. Neat system. If you like Tea, this place has proper sized tea cups and a nice selection. V nice place for a first date.

We used to come here often. The arugula pizza was great, as was the airplane pasta for the children. Unfortunately, we were not satisfied with the service several times, which is quite difficult in a self-service restaurant. We decided all the more that we wouldn't go to Vapiano anymore.

Good food. A lot of people at lunchtime. Not very cosy atmosphere. Relatively pricey.

The seasonal dishes are always great once you are used to the main. Carbonara and the risotto tartuffo are my favorites. You can ask for some options and some extras (meat, garlic, cheese...) Also the take away boxes are so great we keep them.

Fine pasta and delicious salads! Always recommended for a visit. The staff is also very friendly and attentive even in hectic moments.

Great food. My favorite is the beef pasta.

The restaurant is nicely decorated and clean. The food is ok, but for a restaurant without table service and where you have to wait at least half an hour at the pasta counter to order and then wait for your dish to be made, I find it expensive. Unfortunately for me the price/performance wasn't right. And on Saturday evening it's full, you can't make a reservation and then you have to wait forever for the food...

The food is getting worse, unfortunately, and the portions are getting smaller. In the future I will think twice about going out to dine at Vapiano.

Self-service. Although the place was absolutely not full (with guests), everything took forever. Practically nothing worked with pasta. The man at the counter celebrated his pasta like others celebrated mass in church. I didn't feel like waiting and went to the soup counter. There were no guests there so I didn't have to wait long for a wonderful tomato soup with croutons and cheese. My wife skipped the pasta line and opted for pumpkin soup, which was also very good. We will only visit this restaurant when we are bored and have endless time. Sorry.

We loved this Italian food restaurant. They make your pasta, pizza or risotto at the moment! They are very fast and the quality of the food is a 10! Plus the staff is very friendly!

Very long waiting time. I always had an eye on the buzzer. Then I went to take a look. The pizza had been ready for a long time and was ice cold. Instead of an apology, there was a rude answer. We hummed at them. Yes / Yes.

The service and politeness is non-existent in this restaurant, and the people in here also have zero decency. Children puke and choke on food. Just horrible, I couldn't enjoy my food and wouldn't recommend this.

There's no way that a few pieces of turkey will increase your price by 5.00Fr. The person serving me made it sound like I could choose between beef or turkey, I thought this wouldn't be charged for extra. I feel like I got scammed.

So, Vapiano Sihlcity. I try to avoid going at lunchtime or evening, especially on weekends as several times I had to turn around after not finding a single spot. Upon entry, you are greeted by cashier who gives you a card which you use in the restaurant to record what you ordered. Annoyingly, they always try to force each adult a card, even though you are as a group or a family. 🤐 I usually get either pizza 🍕 or pasta 🍝. I noticed pizza guys let you just wait and plainly ignore you when you want to order for about a minute, even when they are not busy and just talk to each other, and then take your order. 🫤 But after that it is quick. Pasta, no issues here, quick and easy. For wheelchairs and kids pushchairs there is a lift at the back. Food nice, always happy to come back.👍🏻

Absolutely impudent, prices like those at a normal Italian restaurant, except that I have to wait in line three times. If the food was at least a lot or good, but none. The children's pizza completely charred and dried out. The pasta was ok, but no better than the Italian restaurant around the corner and rather salty. I can give myself a gift. never again Anyone who thinks such an eating concept is good must be incredibly conditioned or suffer from some kind of consumer Stockholm syndrome.

Best of everything, loved vapiano 10 years ago and love it today, and love it here. Super friendly staff, fun and lighthearted, fantastic food, great atmosphere. 10/10 !

The pasta is delicious, but the cook who prepares the pasta is the same person as the pizza. She took a vegetable pizza, which I did not like. The service is not serviceable. The service system is serve yourself. The price for pasta with white sauce, chicken, a vegetable pizza, and one cola was approximately 55, which is considered expensive.

It's better to order a pizza from a supplier in front of the "restaurant", it's quicker, better and cheaper. What can you call yourselves an Italian restaurant? An insult. You don't have a restaurant either. More of a snack bar. Never come to you again.

Staff is extremely unfriendly ((( We ordered 2 glasses of red wine and I noticed that it was less than 1 dl per glass, but my colleague didn't accept that and poured it into measuring cups in front of the staff at the bar so that she could obviously show it. It was about 30 ml less per glass... whatever. We sent greetings to Bar below. The funny thing was where we had to pay... Our bill was only for the 2 wine glasses we ordered!! It was a free bottle but had different prices!!! 10 fr and 12 per glass!!!! I asked at the checkout how is it possible that wine from the same bottle has different prices?!!! Suddenly the barman who served us showed up and tried to lead the discussion at the lowest level... I've never seen anything so disgusting anywhere before... I left this story there with everything, I don't have time for it I feel like it, but I've decided not to go there again.... I don't want to be so misunderstood, it's just unpleasant, even though it was my child's favorite place. P.S. In the past, there was a mess with the food bill every now and then; somehow they didn't have it fully under control. But it is now that I am writing that has reached its climax

I regret leaving money behind with you. VERY bad service and everything is so hectic. A restaurant should offer some relaxation, I now have to go somewhere else to recover from this last visit.

The food is good (I can recommend the various risottos, but pizza and pasta were nothing special), but because of the long waiting times when queuing, a visit here is not relaxing. And compared to full-service restaurants, where you can sit comfortably at the table and make a reservation without stress, the prices here are the same or even higher. Nice decor, but some of the tables are not really suitable for eating, but rather for an aperitif or drinking coffee.

I love the concept of Vapiano. The food is delicious. The only downside that I had was the crowdness during lunch time. You wait quite a bit on a busy day. However, it being located just next to the cinema is a big plus as well.

Perfect for larger groups. Portions are big, pasta dish can be easily for two people.

Pizza was pretty tasty. A bit pricey but it's to be expected by the location.

Way too expensive. Loud, hectic and uncomfortable.

Food was good. However, a very stressful atmosphere, which is why you can't really enjoy your meal.

Visited as tourists. For those who not know: Vapiano is a restaurant brand for Italian style food around Europe that relies on self service. I visited many Vapiano restaurants especially in Germany but stopped after all the scandals occured from 2014 to 2019. This was my first visit after 2014 and I still cannot really recommend it. The pizza was very dry and had no taste (Pizza Pesto with Salmon). The pasta from our neighbours looked and smelled very intense (it looked like tomato sauce with Italian cheese) so pasta seems to be the better choice. The staff is neutral but felt a little bit stressed. We payed about 78 CHF for two pizzas, 2 liter sparkling water and one cola. For Zürich not good but not bad either. Family friendly.

An Italian pasta and pizza restaurant. I recommend visiting it. The treatment is excellent from all the staff and the service is fast. I tried the delicious Margherita pizza. I recommend it. 👍🏻

Acceptable food. A little expensive for the quality and service they offer.

Great food (although a few of my Italian friends disagree). However it's usually crowded so be prepared for a wait. The queues need to be handled a lot better during rush hour. The make your own pasta station was awesome. The food was delicious (can recommend the pasta with pesto with some red chillies) though. Would only visit again outside rush hour.

The food is good. The payment system is totally miserable. Card was not registered correctly at a kitchen, the cashier then had to enter everything manually. This is very unpleasant when waiting in line. I wonder what advantage this payment system is supposed to bring. I don't see a single one. You can't see what you already have on you, you also have to carry a card around and don't lose it, there are huge traffic jams when paying, etc. Extremely hostile to customers. The food was good to very good, but I won't use this payment system twice. It is also very crowded and loud. It's rather difficult to talk comfortably, but the restaurant can't do much for that.

Not worth the money and poorly prepared pizza.

I have never visited such a bad restaurant in my life, the staff are so unfriendly and unmotivated.

They have quite a nice principal that they prepare the food directly in front of you and you have to go at a specific station (Pizza, Pasta, Salat) to fetch it. Me and my kids had insalata surf n'turf and my mom and my godchild pizza. Both was really delicious. The prices are quite high (91 CHF for three salads and a big and a small bottle of water). It's directly beneith the cinema, so optimal to eat something before or after watching a movie.

The pizza and salad were excellent. No long waiting times, despite a lot of guests and fast service. The whole thing is very comfortable... Conclusion: highly recommended.

It was a cool concept in itself, there was also a nice lady at reception who explained to us how everything works with the ordering process & co. When we arrived at the pizza counter we were completely ignored, the man who made the pizza looked at us and just showed us with a hand signal that we should wait. We waited...he made us wait for about 10 minutes...then he took the order, visibly annoyed... When we picked it up we had to point out to him that we had ordered the pizza TAKE AWAY because we received it in a plate. This turned out to be rather difficult because he could hardly speak a word of German or English. Tip/request from me; You really don't have cheap prices for a system catering establishment. So please train your staff to be customer friendly. And make sure you know at least the most important words for such a job in German/or English. Thanks

Nice cafe. We came here thanks to the Ferienpass, which gave us a 50% discount on pizza. Here is an unusual system for organizing work with clients: - at the entrance you are given a card with which you go to the place where the dishes that interest you are prepared; - place your order by placing this card on a special window; - return with the card to where it was issued to you and pay for the order. With a special “beacon” you go to the place you have chosen and wait until it starts to glow and vibrate - this is a sign that the order is ready and needs to be picked up. We pick up at the place where you ordered. Let's enjoy it.

For quick, quick io otherwise there are more comfortable Italians
