The food that is served there is terrible. Anyone who has ever worked in this kitchen knows that hygiene is taken seriously in the wrong place. Fish that is not properly vacuum-sealed and is two weeks old is often offered for consumption. Even if the person who has to handle this reports it to their supervisor, it is ignored.

The decline in the quality of the catering center in Thun has been noticeable for over a decade. The weekly menu plans already indicate that the balance between carbohydrates and proteins does not meet the usual standards. The subsequent implementation by the kitchen can no longer be surpassed by clumsiness and cluelessness. The simplest foods to prepare are literally violated and the additional food purchased externally is unable to disguise the amateurish implementation of the remaining foods. In a non-state-funded restaurant, customers would punish such a service by staying away.

This was once the best cuisine in the Swiss barracks. In the last few years the way it is handled seems to have changed and that is a shame. Is it so hard to add a little salt or pepper when the only thing there is oiled croissants?
