Nice tasty coffee in the middle of town where the locals hang out

Extreme waiting time for okayish coffee and terrible chai latte (which is basically just whipped milk with some traces of spices).

Savoury place, cozy, you find nearby you always when you are roaming the old town. For winter travellers looking to rest their legs it might not be the beat place as the space inside is pretty small. For summer travellers, you are going to love the outdoor seating they have. Notwithstanding the price, the quality of the food and coffee justifies it. They accept card payment. The staff are little bit too serious, a smile would go a long way. Trays could be a point for improvement. Since it is a self service place I would be happy yo pick up my order in one go.

5/5. Perfect place for a cup of delicious coffee with a lot of nice and pleasant-to-mind details in the interior and exterior. Wearing outside bushes in the hessian coffee bags it's so smart and beautiful. Vegetarian options is present.

Visiting Zurich from Australia I came across the Vicafe Munsterhof, which was just around the corner from our hotel.The girls each morning made us a great cup of coffee with a smile and the apricot croissants were amazing. Thank you

It's rare to find real hot chocolate and here it's great. There are even remaining pieces that are excellent at the end. Great and happy again every time

Great tasting coffee, beautiful place and the perfect location for a break looking at the Church and the square! I would like to express my personal thanks for what happened on Monday afternoon 6 November regarding my drink. I only had cash with me, but a credit card was needed for payment. The lady who served me thanked me, telling me that she could not accept cash and in the name of all the staff I was their guest! Words of thanks from me will never be enough! See you soon!

I was waiting at the counter. The barista didn’t welcome me at all for no reason. She took the order of the customers that have entered cafe after me although I was looking at her and standing at the counter. That was rude and childish. For no reason. 04.11.2023 16:20

A nice, cosy café located on an old plaza. The view of old buildings is very pleasing and provides a unique atmosphere. The coffee itself is very tasty. I can especially recommend chai latte here. The prices are very reasonable for a café in such a location. The staff is very nice here. All in all I think it's a great place for a relaxing coffee.

I generally like ViCafé but in this branch the coffee is always too sour and the service is inefficient. Hope they come back to their usually good performance and taste soon.

I ordered a flat white, and the combination of the aroma of the coffee beans and the milk is good. It seems that many nearby office workers stop by for takeout in the morning. There is also terrace seating in front of the store. Cash payment is not possible, only card payment is possible.

So worth the walk in this hot weather to taste their coffee and croissant. It is truly the best. 7 star service too with very helpful and welcoming staff.

Absolutely the best takeaway coffee in town. At ViCAFE you can purchase different types of coffee that you can take with you and enjoy at the lake. The service is quite fast and what is offered is excellent. The coffee is similar to Italian coffee, which makes both the visit and the price of the product worth it. It's great that in summer fresher options are made, such as iced coffees, Iced Cappuccinos and Affogatos (coffee and vanilla ice cream). We often come with colleagues for a coffee or an affogato after lunch, and we recommend it to everyone!

Delicious coffee. Not enough seating when we went, but if you get a takeaway, lots of fantastic places to sit nearby. We chose the nearby river (behind).

Very nice area. Plenty of shops in the courtyard. Cafés all around. Nice place to relax and sip a cup of coffee.

Finally more space for cafés instead of cars on the Münsterhof! Vicafe was nice to sit outside. You first have to order at the counter, pick up the drink and clear the dishes yourself. The latte medium (available in S/M/L) was huge.

The coffee is very good, but I have never experienced such unmotivated employees and disappointing service in Zurich. We had to ask them to clean up the dishes from the last guests so that we had a free table. We also had to get the coffee ourselves and they only accept card payments.

I had a wonderful experience with a female staff member named Kasey or Casey or KC. She was very kind and helpful and made a very extraordinary gesture today. This a great coffee shop in a beautiful part of Zurich. Easily accessible and worth visiting.

To the management! Sorry guys! I'm just at Bahnhofstrasse, huge queue, walk to Münsterplatz, even bigger queue. The young, attractive and calm, extremely likeable young man is all alone. At the cathedral it is a no go to use 1-2 people!! It's Sunday! And your employee is working alone. 10 people in line... how about a store every 100 meters or a mini bus like that, chugging along the street at the cafe 😀. By the way, I'm a woman and a regular in every booth you have, Bubamala means Himmuguegeli, ladybug in Croatian :-). At the moment the crew is working again ;-). Kind regards, Marti

So the coffee is great, you have to wait a bit, it's self-service but it's worth it, the price is okay for Zurich. Chairs could be a bit more comfortable and otherwise the view of the square is wonderful

Solid coffee in a lovely place surrounded by old town Zurich and one of the biggest churches in town! Just get prepared and keep in mind, that the queue (depending on time and day) is sometimes up to 15minutes long (or more) Bring some time!

We had coffee and pastries the first time, only coffee the day after. Not impressed with the pastries… but I’m still giving 5 stars because the coffee is spectacular and makes it a truly good specialty coffee place. The staff is knowledgeable about their product. I also bought a bag of coffee from Indonesia, they’re great for V60.

Great coffee and great location in the centre of Zurich. Nice terrace in the summer located in a cosy square. They even serve affogato. Their Flat White is pretty nice. Good price-quality for Zurich Espresso 3.80Fr. Not the best in town, but nicely affordable.

Looks like they are setting up for the Christmas market in the square. Great espresso spot for a quick stop or hanging out to sip. Had the house plant in one of the reusable Kooky cups! Recommend trying that to reduce waste if you're taking to go.

Coffee and vibes were great! Such a nice outdoor space, really relaxing. Loved sitting here after a bit of shopping nearby! One thing is that the croissant wasn’t great, a bit dry and hard even early in the morning. But coffee and views make it a great spot!

It is a very small place, with only two indoor sessions, and there are outdoor sessions, but the weather is sunny, the coffee is excellent, and the baked goods are as well.

We had a cozy Monday morning with my friend at this place yesterday. Very tasty bakery, perfect coffee and an awesome vegan cider! The team is very friendly and smiling:) strongly recommend.

Here you can order a good, strong coffee at the counter and then drink it very slowly with a view of the Münsterhof 🙂. I can recommend the Americano!

Nice location and friendly service. If you come early enough, you can find space to sit. Otherwise there are chairs all over the Münsterhof. The price is on the higher end but the quality of the coffee and food are TOP. Perfect place to take a quick rest after an old town/exploration tour.

Yesterday me and my friend visited here, since the card system was broken and we don't have twint, we were not able to order the coffee but the lady was generous and gave us coffee for free. Thank you ViCAFE for this sweet gesture. You made our visit to Zürich memorable.

If you are looking for coffee or a pastry on a Sunday, this coffee shop is your answer! The cappuccino is lovely and the prices are ‘billig’. I would recommend a cinnamon stick to go with the ‘kaffee.’ 😋

Brilliantly located place in the middle of the city, very quiet. I wish they would also offer the cappuccino in a cup. Because consuming coffee from a paper cup on site doesn't have the same feeling.

Service not professional and not (customer) friendly. Are with a group of approx. 15 people. about 5:40 p.m. there. You couldn't order tea and you could only order coffee with the repeated comment that this was still possible because it wouldn't be available after 6 p.m. To be fair, we ordered all the drinks from one person at the same time (well before 6 p.m.), who was also responsible for paying the total bill. Instead of non-alcoholic punch, there was a kind of lemon balm syrup mixed with hot water. 3-4 young employees prepared all the drinks and it was a bit chaotic. In the middle of the drinks distribution, the cashier asked our group leader how many drinks had already been handed out instead of making a list of the drinks that had been handed out herself. A 1/2 dl espresso also cost, for example. Fr. 5.50, which is completely overpriced for an unprofessional take-away. Generally frustrating experience there. I would never consume anything there again and I absolutely cannot recommend them.

The coffee is very good, but for those who are lactose intolerant, they do not stock lactose-free milk—only vegan milks.

Excellent almost "Italian" espresso. Croissant cold and hard though. It would cost little to keep them in a slightly heated case. Relatively long wait in line outside (about 2/3 minutes per customer!)

Always a delight to get my coffee from Vicafe. Especially when Simon is dancing behind the bar. Good croissants from Debby and latte art from Tim too.
