Had a private dinner and a work holiday dinner (40 ppl) here late last year. Both were excellent. Tanja and team are super. Wine parings with each surprise course were perfect. Truly a special spot in Basel.

The service was super attentive, our special requests were well received and even if one of the accompanying wines - all of which were excellent - wasn't right for everyone, the situation was moderated and resolved excellently. I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time because I've heard good things about it. Unfortunately I was quite disappointed with the food. It was ok but nothing special, not very well presented, the taste ranged from good to boring, bland and overcooked (lasagna). You can get the same thing in many places in Basel for less money. But the service was very friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant.

The six of us spent a very nice evening in the four-part circle. Cozy restaurant with attentive service staff and excellent food (Menu Surprise). Really good value for money. Definitely worth a visit!

Attention!! Great restaurant, undoubtedly the best in Basel. Impeccable service and delicious dishes. On weekends there is no menu but a 6-step menu. At the end the cook comes to see you for advice. Great dining experience. I highly recommend!!

We have come to stay. The food here is excellent. The first thing I noticed was a bottle of water and fine grain crackers before we ordered anything. You feel welcome there! The food was very tasty, beautifully prepared, the service was attentive and courteous. We will be back.

Excellent food, service and ambience. We had 6 course fixed menu on Saturday night. I loved the element of surprise as the menu was fixed and every course was a surprise. All the courses were delicious and well balanced in flavour. I particularly liked truffle pasta and veal steak course. The wine recommendation was also very nice. Service was very attentive and pleasant. The price is very attractive for such a large and various meal. We loved it! Highly recommended!

We were able to enjoy the business lunch with Nahrin AG. So I've rarely experienced something like that. I myself come from the hospitality industry and that is exactly how the hospitality industry works. Food TOP, service TOP. You can't even explain how great it was. Thank you for the absolutely perfect evening. From the first “Grüezi” to shaking hands when saying goodbye. Only the first name is perfect. Absolutely nothing to complain about. Even the truffle pasta, which I don't like, was replaced with absolutely delicious wild garlic ravioli without batting an eyelid and within minutes!! Thank you thank you thank you!

As main courses we had cordon bleu and saltimbocca on trout: both very fine and expensive. The light is extremely dimmed, so that individual guests needed their cell phone flashlights to read the small and manageable map. Nice service. Attention: On weekends there is only a fixed menu (I heard).

A lovely restaurant! We went on a Friday evening and had the set mystery menu. The options for vegetarians were lovely and the meat-eaters were very happy too. The staff were very nice and accommodating, particularly with my allergy. We could also have our big with us. If we are ever back in Basel we will be back.

I love the ambience and the service was amazing. The servers were Uber friendly. We didn’t speak German but they were extremely nice and patient with us and helped us translate the menu. The menu was straightforward and the food was lovely! If I lived in Basel, I would definitely come again!

There was a menu Surprise. (Thurs - Sun) It was very well cooked and served in an original way. You are asked what you don't like. The atmosphere is appealing and the staff is very friendly.

A perfect place for cool people, brilliant ambience, the service is very courteous and uncomplicated. If you want to go on a culinary tour, the Quarter Circle is the right place for you.

We (an American and English couple) came with our limited German language skills and had a wonderful experience. The service team really made us feel welcomed and were super helpful with recommendations that included things not on the menu. We started with the house apero and the lovely mixed salmon starter. We had specifically come to try the cordon bleu (that did not disappoint) and also had the local sausage with sauerkraut ravioli which was a fresh and interesting twist on local cuisine. The prices were on point for Switzerland and quality food. All the little details like bread, water, and end of dinner drinks just added to the entire experience. We will be coming back!

This place was a culinary experience. My friends and I visited on a Friday night where we simply ate what the chef rolled out and to say that each course was delightful, is an understatement. The knockout dish for me was the truffle ravioli, which was creamy and flavorful. Stöff was a gracious host who's passion and knowledge of food coupled with his charisma, ensured that this would be a memorable foodie experience for all of us. Tanja and the rest of the staff were also awesome and I recommend that anyone who visits Basel, adds this to their list of places to visit while in town.

Currently one of my favorite restaurants in Basel. Casual, genuine and really extremely tasty! I particularly recommend the surprise menu in the vegetarian version. Unusual, varied and fair in price. Simply great! Attention: always make a reservation, the restaurant tends to be full.

It's like coming home. When I enter the restaurant I am greeted as if I had been a regular for years. It's rare to see something like this, especially not in urban areas. Very nice atmosphere, really friendly service and wonderful food. We even got a little greeting from the kitchen. It was really nice, after a long pandemic, to be served in such a friendly manner and to enjoy this delicious, beautifully prepared meal. I can only recommend it!

The waitress was very friendly and helpful. We first had some trouble to find some dishes for the kids (we have picky children) but in the end there were a lot of options as we could pick anything from the menu. We even added some dishes for the kids while we were eating, and it arrived very quickly. Very enjoyable and relaxing evening for everyone!!

Staff wasn't very kind when we ordered a small beer as an apéro although we ordered quite expensive meals. We are very disappointed by their following attitude when serving. Never will dine there again, there are much more friendly restaurants in Basel, where you are welcome.

TAKE AWAY quarter circle The lockdown is certainly difficult for many restaurants. Some innovative innkeepers offer TAKE AWAY offers. The quarter circle does this above average. Menus and offers (including vegetarian ones), including surprises, are delivered by friendly and enthusiastic hosts (with apprentices) in environmentally friendly packaging. Of all the offers we have tried so far, the Quarter-Circle one has the best cost-performance ratio.

genial nur super!! amazing place good people and great food great service!!!!!!!in middle of bale close to the train station with te tram. Everyone on the staff was extremely kind and accommodating, the food was delicious and we were received as friends. What a nice way to start our stay in Basel.

Sehr lauschig im Sommer (wenn dann die Baustelle wieder weg ist). Sehr guter Weisswein offen. Leider nichts veganes auf der Menukarte gefunden. Dafür hat mir die Bedienung, die selber vegan isst, einen guten Snackteller ausserhalb der Karte zusammengestellt.
