Villa Barone Ristorante Pizzeria in Dübendorf

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and authentic and the service was simply incredible. As a guest you feel very valued and welcome here. We will definitely come back, absolutely recommended!

We from Life Gate AG spontaneously came here for lunch. It was really delicious and the service was top notch. There was also a greeting from the kitchen as dessert. Thank you very much & see you soon☺️

I went to this place last week for dinner, a very elegant place, I would say the food was quite mediocre, but what was unacceptable was the behavior of a waiter whose attitude seemed like the owner, who he said was nice with jokes that went beyond! Definitely unacceptable!

Good value for money, good welcome

I have mixed feelings about our meal at Villa Barone. On a positive note, the menu offers a good selection of dishes for both vegetarians as well as non-vegetarians, and the food was well-prepared and tasty. We were rather disappointed by the service though. We had 3 children with us and their food took far too long (about an hour!) to arrive. They were super hungry. When I asked about this I was told that it was because I ordered a soup. But I was the only one on our table of 7, so I’d have expected the staff to have considered serving the children at least together with my starter. There could also be more options available for vegans. Many Italian restaurants now offer vegan cheese on request. This isn’t on offer and I ordered a pizza without mozzarella, which was rather dry and I had to add olive oil on it myself. A suggestion would be to offer vegan cheese, but also to indicate what’s vegan on the menu. At the end of the meal the waiter brought espresso and grappa which I know was a kind gesture, but it would have been better if he asked us first, as most of us didn’t want either of them, and it was quite a waste. We hope these suggestions can be used for improvement.

Back at our house we spend the night here in Switzerland, Dübendorf, and a few meters from our hotel, Dihei, we had dinner at this nice and pleasant restaurant. Good atmosphere, good food and very, very good service from the staff. recommendable

Beautiful, solid restaurant, very friendly staff... I only had a drink there in the afternoon, I can't say anything about the food... but I'll definitely eat there sometime, unfortunately it's not near me.

That's how gastronomy works. Solid Italian cuisine, friendly staff, nice ambience. Price/performance is 100% right. A fresh mixed salad, home-made lasagne and a beer for less than I think Fr. 40 is cheap for the evening. The espresso with a grappa was on the house. And, it should be noted, without me having any complaints. It wasn't my first time here and I'm sure it won't be the last time either.

The service was great. Very nice staff, patient and understanding. I had dinner here with the choir after our concert and we were even allowed to use the grand piano and sing something. Was a great experience!

Went to this place for dinner when visiting my brother in Dubendorf. The food, the service, and the ambience were all on point. If you plan on taking someone for a special occasion, this is the place. Make sure to reserve a table as this place gets busy. Highly recommended.

Lived in Dübendorf many years, without noticing them. A pity, because it is a great, authentic place to eat Italian!

Courteous service, great wine selection, super tasty food and very, very large portions. It's definitely worth a visit if you're hungry. Women's toilet functional, but a bit outdated and careless.

If you want to try a REAL pizza that is very good and baked in the right way, visit the place. I haven't tried the other pasta specialties yet, but just from seeing them served I'm sure they're just as excellent. The staff is professional and very polite and the place is very welcoming.

The lunch menu is always worth it and is very attractively priced. Small variations of the 4 daily menus are no problem, so you can also benefit from the special price with salad and dessert. Espresso and grappa are each distributed with great generosity. Grazie Mille!
