Good Italian cuisine, central location in Wetzikon

The service was good, but the food didn't really taste good. The pasta and gnocchi were not cooked properly. The pizza didn't taste good at all, so we left it. The salad was the best part of the meal. In addition, the prices are very high and not justified for what we got.

A pizzeria that deserves its name. Pizza is terrific. The pizza dough and the processing are unique. Service is friendly and accommodating. I would love to come back and can highly recommend it.

A nice Italian restaurant with some vegetarian options as well. We were there on New Year’s eve and it was completely full. We and a lot of other tables had to finish dinner on time because the next guests were already arriving for their reservation. Despite it being full and quite noisy, the kitchen and staff handled everything very well. The garlic soup was amazing. Pizza was great too. Pasta with tomato sauce & Parmesan was a great choice for the kids.

The restaurant is more than a pizzeria, a place to feel good!! My son, his girlfriend and I had a very nice place and were able to chat comfortably. I recommend visitors to Zurich to visit Wetzikon and enjoy the food at Villa Barone. Please make a reservation at the back - the restaurant at the front is always so full because of the good food!!

Had a team event here from our company. Absolutely recommended. Everything went super quickly, we felt very comfortable, it was super tasty and inexpensive.

I had dinner here a week ago. After eating I had stomach cramps about 30 minutes later. My impression was that some of the cooking was done with ready-made products and I couldn't tolerate them. Sauces in particular can contain artificial additives from the food industry. The meat (venison) was good, but the spaetzle probably came from a package and the mustard sauce was probably heavily loaded with sauce thickener. I would therefore only recommend this restaurant for pizzas. They looked good. The service was very good. However, for me it is primarily about good food that is freshly prepared.

The ambience isn't my thing, but that's a matter of taste. The food is simply great and the waiters are always friendly. Tip top: If you go over lunch, after 45 minutes you can leave the restaurant with a full stomach!

It would be a really cool place and the food is really okay, but the waiters are incredibly slow. For each action you have to ask 3 times. Those at the next table waited 30 minutes until they could pay the bill. It all just takes far too long.

It's really very good here. Large terrace, cool interior area (wonderful) and wheelchair accessible toilet. The employees are very friendly and the atmosphere is good. This is how eating is fun. The salad dressing is very fine, homemade of course. There is a daily menu, an á la carte and a summer salad menu. Everyone will find something there. Very fine cuisine. we'd love to come back. Highly recommended!!! Very good cuisine, courteous staff including the owner. Our daughter got her pizza with a bunny motif and an ice cream on the house for dessert. For us adults we got schnapps on the house. They are very focused on guests and pamper them. Thank you very much for everything. It's great to be able to experience such special moments in a restaurant where you feel welcome as a guest!!!

Ponte dei Santi in Switzerland... We ate there two evenings, both times we felt like we were in Italy. Truly Italian food and very good. Quality raw material! Helpful, kind and friendly staff! If we are again in the area we will definitely return.

Super delicious, we ordered 6 dishes to pick up yesterday. Even though it was a Sunday evening and the restaurant had a lot of guests, the staff was extremely friendly, patient and accommodating. The dishes were ready very quickly (30 minutes) and everything was right. I can only recommend the Aglio E Olio, the taste blows you away and the tomatoes in it are perfect. The pizzas are really great too. Great price-performance ratio.

Doesn't even deserve this one star. Neither the service - who simply put something on the table that we didn't order - nor the food were good. My menu, which I had already ordered X times in the other branches, was watery here and not what it was supposed to be because the sauce was wrong. There was still parmesan on a single tortellini, although I wondered how it came about like that. We stayed calm and went out after paying for our meal without any major drama, although there would have been more than enough reason to do so given the pinworm in the food. Just terrible... (In this review, the Bassersdorf and Seuzach branches are explicitly excluded, as these two restaurants have nothing to do with the poor quality of the Wetzikon branch!)

Both vitello tonnato and risotto were quite salty. Several guests found seafood downright inedible. Two guests even thought the salad or sauce was bad. Tiramisu watery (thawed?) and panna cotta extremely creamy. Portion size is generally okay in terms of size, but then the quality also has to be right. And no one asked if it tasted good. Had to ask staff several times to reorder water because no one bothered to refill it. The staff did not assign dessert to people and with almost 20 people this is extremely tedious and not everyone is sitting in their place when everyone is called out individually. Espresso was very good.

Personally a surprise. A very authentic Italian restaurant in a best location in Wetzikon. The menu offers a lot, my insider tip is the calzone with prawns and anchovies. The portions are generous, the cooking is quick even when the house is full and there are no compromises in quality. The wood oven from which the pizza comes underlines the quality standards. The service is excellent, attentive, quick and personal. You really have to look all around for such good service. I always recommend making reservations, the villa was always full every time I visited, even during the week. I will always find my way there, for me it is a really good address in the Zurich Oberland.

I visited this restaurant while there were no other guests there. I just drank a coffee and was surprised at the price when paying: Had to pay Fr. 5.80, with the 20 centimes for the waiter, so Fr. 6.00. I have never paid so much for a coffee anywhere in Switzerland. When I entered and sat down, I judged the pizzeria to be good and thought about eating here with the family. But at prices like that I don't want to afford it. Maybe I was just ripped off and the pizzeria otherwise has normal prices.

Great restaurant. The appetizer (bruschetta) was excellent! The rolls are homemade and still warm. The pizza has plenty of toppings, which is no longer a given these days. The pizza dough could have had a little more flavor for my taste, but it was absolutely fine. I think it's great that it's prepared in a REAL wood oven, TOP! You can only find it very rarely. The dessert (tiramisu) was excellent and of course also fresh and homemade. The service was extremely friendly, warm, courteous and attentive. Big praise to the entire service! At the end we each received a ristretto and grappa on the house. Thank you very much for this!! I can only recommend this restaurant, gladly again. Next time I would like to try one of the many homemade pasta creations.
