Beautiful and stylish restaurant in the Merian Gardens. There is a large outdoor area with a view of a beautifully landscaped pond. Well done, seasonally cooked lunch! Daily dish with soup of the day first, main course pasta with truffle sauce, 26 CHF...hmm. But then we decided on a wild mushroom soup with cream on top (please add a little salt and pepper) (12.50 CHF), then the delicious wild boar ragout with spaetzle and red cabbage (34.50 CHF), and finally a "coffee time". a scoop of ice cream & cream coffee (CHF 7.90). Everything is not cheap, but the atmosphere is anything but cheap. Well done the renovation. We are looking forward to our spring visit to the Merian Gardens and the Villa.

Unfriendly waiter made the whole visit uncomfortable. He just seemed annoyed that we were there. Service was slow even though it wasn't busy. The waiter seemed to be going out of his way to ignore us. Drink order was wrong, but we didn't ask him to change it for fear of annoying him further 😂 Had to ask for salt and pepper. Cordon Bleu was ok, nothing special. Tagliatelle was very bland, little more than a bowl of boiled pasta. Very little flavour and few mushrooms. Portions were not so big. Setting is nice but that's about it unfortunately.

Too simple brunch. The quality could be better. No fresh bread from the bakery, apparently the bread was pre-baked and put in the oven for raising before the brunch. We were there for brunch (46CHF per person) with a group of over 30 people. After waiting for a couple of minutes someone to place us at a table, we saw a couple leaving a sunny one and we chose it before someone else to sit at it. The waiter-an oldish angry guy came to clean it and rudely told us it is still a Corona time and we must wait before we sit. We did't touch the table or anything else that the customers before us were using...so we left hungry and thirsty because we understood we are not wanted there from that guy who obviously doesn't want to serve much. He could be polite while informing us! About the Corona Time....does every customer receive a brand new printed menu?!? Or I also didn't see him wiping the chairs where people normally put their hands...the attitude is well known... too much work when the workers start blaming every next coming..Every time I visit the park, come for a bite and a drink but never received such an attitude. Wish that guy to be 'welcomed'everywhere the same way he 'welcomed' the tree of us!!! And will never spend a cent there! I will never again recommend to my friends! Pity! There is no sign 'wait to be placed'! And when seeing how stressed the workers were we decided to go for that metal table.

Pro Person waren es dann 1 Stückchen Weichkäse, etwa 3 Stückchen Hartkäse und diesselbe Menge Schinken. Und das für 100 Fr.!!! Der Picknickkorb ist extrem überteuert. Und dann kommt auch noch die unfreundliche Bedienung dazu.

Wunderschöner Ort umgeben von einer fantastischen Natur. Leider war das kein Brunch: Sehr kleine Auswahl, keine leeren sauberen Teller vorhanden, die leeren Platten blieben lange leer.... für 38 CHF hätten wir mehr erwartet. Das ist für ein Frühstück. Bin sehr enttäuscht, hatte meine Schwester und mein Schwager eingeladen, es war mir sehr peinlich.
