Vino Bar Il Sottoscala in Rapperswil-Jona

Very long waiting times just for drinks, and the aperitif came when we had already drunk the drinks, which was just bad, we also watched other guests leave the bar because there was no service, and they then came twice to ask if we wanted to order, even though we did have already ordered… poor organization..

Aperol was like dishwater and the food was totally overpriced.

Service was good, the drinks in the bar took a little longer to prepare

A nice place for a meal and wine.

Excellent Nero d’Avola 🍷 however, it was 9€ for a glass of 100 ml … mmm I would love to have more glasses of wine, but not at this bar. The atmosphere though is very nice, it’s cozy and cocooning. But expensive. But you are in Switzerland 😁

The Vino Bar Sottoscala makes you almost feel like you are in Italy. Everything is really beautiful and decorated with a lot of charm. The wine selection is excellent! The Italian meat platter is cut directly behind the counter using a Berkel meat machine. This is really worth seeing! Top location!

Waited 30 minutes for pasta, half full restaurant. And we waited 15 minutes and only after a second inquiry did we get the bill...

Quality of the products very good. Service friendly but slow. Could sell twice as much if a little more committed. We waited what felt like forever for each order. Would have easily consumed twice as much, but couldn't.

Quality food with exquisite care down to the smallest detail, which is reflected in the price. From my point of view a little past. A normal meal can cost around €150 per person without much ostentation. Excellent service and delicious food.

Nice service at the bar from Austria! Always courteous and friendly! I feel understood then.

Overall it was nice but a bit pricey, even for Swiss standards.

It was super cozy here, and despite the small menu, the food was very fresh and very tasty. You could sit comfortably outside on the fur-covered chairs and enjoy the lake and the sun. There were blankets and, if requested, radiant heaters were turned on. Despite the vaccination, we enjoyed the great feeling outside.

delicious aperitif and wonderful location

2 course menu. 1. Pasta after about 40 minutes. Then 15 minutes after the pasta was finished, the wrong menu. After another 15 minutes the duck arrives. Service was still nice. Despite everything, last visit here.

Bad service, takes ages till your order arrives. Even if you want to pay it takes long. They just let you waiting

Too expensive for the quality of food and service offered

The regulations to protect bar visitors are completely sufficient. As soon as the guest leaves the bar, the staff immediately disinfects it.

Overpriced prices and a Gran Manner don't come with ice cream

Enjoy a cappuccino by the water. Staff is friendly. Not suitable for wheelchairs indoors. Outside, possibility of wheelchair parking. Clean toilets inside. In winter you can sit outside, the chairs are covered in cozy sheepskin.

Very unfriendly service. Waitress served without saying "please" or "thank you". Wouldn't recommend going there.

lets say that it was the most rude experience, first I want to clarify a few aspects, the most important is one of the waiters (I don’t know her name but probably she was from Asia ) the most unfriendly and unpolite person I meet in my life , super rude,and super uncomfortable. We be been there 3-4 times and it was the same thing with her , Second all the service was to slow to serve about 17-20 tables ,3-4 waiters! Everything came out with a great delay , and when we asked to pay we had to wait 20 minutes ! If someone decide to go there must order to the lady with the short hair , she was kind and nice .
