It's been a long time since I've experienced such unfriendly and unprofessional service. No food or drink menu. Get apple spritzer and non-carbonated mineral water. We pointed this out to the lady and she didn't want to admit it. No card payment possible. Paid cash. The lady wanted to take the receipt with her as quickly as possible, you can imagine why. We insisted on our receipt. Never again, unless the tenant/staff changes. It's actually a shame, because the place itself would be very idyllic.

Very nice and pleasant host with his 80 years... We can't understand the reviews from some here... because the boss goes out of his way and what many may not know; The prices are high, but the fact that he only cooks on two hotplates and does everything himself and has dishes that you can't find on every menu is highly recommended and we support something like that at any time. We can recommend this wine shop, its host and the employees with a full 5 stars. Kind regards and keep up the great, self-created dishes that taste great and are delicious. Beat Nicole and Cookie (who also always gets his fresh water and treats.)

Absolutely the unfriendly restaurant in Maienfeld. Because Maienfeld is an absolutely bad ambassador in the tourism office. The staff is totally unfriendly and absolutely unwilling to make recommendations. You'll get bullied by the staff if you want to pay for a coffee with a credit card. Attention guest threatens to work.

Unfriendly staff. The staff gossiped more about our group (young to old) than served us. The old gentleman or The owner initially beat us up and didn't even greet us... It's a shame, the food was good, but the price was too expensive. No more!

The prices are just exorbitant. For a cold plate, a barley soup, 1 bottle of mineral water, a beer and a glass of wine we paid an incredible 84.-...

Unfriendly without equal. At the entrance you have to justify yourself if you wear a mask. As if you were enjoying it yourself. This store belongs to the category: don't be embarrassed if it's closed.

We learned Maiensfeld is a wine town while we were visiting Heididorf, so we sesrched for a wine place. When we arrived we saw about 10 people having a good time on a table outside, drinking beer and wine. When we got in we did not see anybody, and after a while one of the persons outside came in. She happened to be the bar tender/waitress. We asked for a local wine, one red and one white and went outside to drink it. Wine was good. Service... well, we wanted to buy and drink but nobody was really helping for at least 15 min. But I still recommend to go to taste some local wine :)

The female staff there was black face. The attitude of her is very very rude. She does not speak English. I asked for a toothpick, she ignored me. Better not go there, the food is really expensive but the attitude is really bad

Unfortunately, way too expensive... the wine we had was good... the location was nice... food: a house sausage for 14.50 Fr. is a rip off... barley soup for 14.50 Fr. at the highest price... so a soup and sausage 29.00 For that price I eat a top menu somewhere else...sorry, that's a ripoff

A very pleasant place for a glass of wine and a barley soup
