Best fried chicken in fried rice I ordered thru Uber in Basel.

All the dishes are delicious and the place has a lot of charm. They are very kind and pleasant.

Authentic Vietnamese food, large portions, friendly service. Unfortunately, a massive price increase of around a quarter

I’m not sure what happened to this place, it used to be a favourite of mine. Since I enjoy Viet food a lot! I’ve had 3 unfriendly encounters at the restaurant now, within the past month. The first time I entered one of the workers was asleep on the chair/couch - anyways, when I asked for a bubble tea along with my meal they said rudely “NO we don’t do” even though there is a poster and it’s still on the menu (and there’s a bubble tea machine).. Furthermore, they also advertise it on social media. The second time, I came a few weeks later to ask for a bubble tea and again I was told rudely they don’t do it here. Though the bubble tea machine is there..

They didn't speak a word of English or German but were still very helpful. The food was super good and very fresh!

We ordered the food. The pasta was a single block with no sauce and the chicken tasted rancid. The summer rolls all arrived broken... Would definitely not recommend it

The summer rolls are very good. I recommend the mango sauce with it.

The food that I had was great but the spring roll wasn’t the greatest other than that I have no complain the pho was good and the bahn mi was really good

Really good banh mi & beef fried rice?

My food smelled sour. At first I thought it was a sauce, but unfortunately the ingredients in the menu were bad/expired and I felt sick afterwards too. Very unfortunate.

The pasta was a bit bland and had no sauce. The crispy tofu, on the other hand, was very tasty! Also the pasta salad that came with it. Rather expensive for a fast food self-service restaurant. All in all fine; but nothing more.

Can't say anything about the negative reviews, service was super friendly and the summer rolls were AWESOME!

The food was absolutely disastrous, not at all as described, poor quality and not fresh. The fried rice with chicken was simple rice with a sauce on it and two small pieces of vegetables, a dried/dirty piece of salad and some meat. The summer rolls were not fresh and there was a hair in one of them. Tried to call the restaurant to complain, but nobody would answer the phone. Horrible experience, would give zero stars if I could

Pho soup tastes like just salty water :(

I ordered three summer rolls and two of them had hair rolled up, which I absolutely cannot understand. Of course, this can happen sometimes, no question BUT the summer rolls are rolled up in transparent rice paper and the hair was so obvious that one could have reacted! Neither calls nor messages are responded to despite pictures of my order where you can clearly see the hair. It's a shame I definitely won't be ordering from here again and what's more, I only got a portion of my money refunded through uber eats.

I found hair in the food. This is very unsavory. The food costs me money and I expect appropriate hygiene care.

I've ordered several times via UberEats. The food was never great, but it was OK. and the delivery was always relatively quick and I only ordered here when there was a promotion on Uber. But now I'll definitely never order again. Something went wrong with my last two orders. One time, the whole bag was completely wet and as a result it tore as soon as the delivery person gave me my order (no drinks were ordered). Both dishes ended up on the floor, containers burst open and everything was scattered across my hallway. Tried to contact the restaurant by phone (called 5 times), by Google (it said the restaurant usually responded within 5 minutes...never received a response), and then by UberEats directly. I never heard back from the restaurant but luckily Uber refunded me the money. After a while I thought, let's give it a second chance... we ordered the food and there was hair in the baquette. We ordered two loaves of bread and there were several short, black hairs in both of them. I've definitely lost my appetite for this restaurant...

The order was delivered incorrectly and a menu was not even delivered. I still paid for everything... I tried to call but no one answered, rude and not recommended!

The food was cold In the comments we wrote “without coriander” (due to allergy) Nevertheless, coriander was scattered throughout the menu In addition, the other menu (rice with duck) had 5 small pieces of duck and the rest was rice. Absolutely rude, not recommended😡

Food was average, expected more flavor. expect a wait time of 10min for take away.

Sadly this was one of the worst fried noodles (beef) I have had. No spice or even taste just very very bland and boring. Pork belly summer roll was not enjoyable either. The veggies were fresh but the pork was dry and something was off with it. The Bao was the only item that I enjoyed.

There’s no flavor in pho soup at all :’( too bad, I wanted to support all Asian restaurant but this dish here is just not it. If you’re here, try something else.

Don’t eat here if you have any food allergies or intolerances at all. I asked if the rice paper rolls were gluten free for my coeliac son (I said “high allergy” even though it’s not an allergy) and was assured they all were gluten free . They came out containing tofu with a crispy coat. I asked what that the coating was and after MUCH back and forth was reluctantly showed the packet. Turns out the coating was Panko breadcrumbs with no 1 ingredient being wheat. They made another one from scratch but then tried to charge us for this additional rice paper roll. Clearly no idea.

Friendly, cozy but unfortunately not very authentic.

One of the best Bun Bo Nam Bo I've ever had. The taste is great, the quantity is sufficient.

We took two standard menus with avocado and salmon, avocado was missing from both, bubble tea was very watery, tapioca was inedible (so far the worst bubble tea in Basel and also one of the most expensive). Since the noodles themselves were ok, there are 2 stars.

Unfortunately closed during opening hours without notice or reason. (No company holidays) otherwise good cuisine when open

The Babhn Mi was good. Bread was light, crispy warm, perfect for biting into. Generous salmon fillets, looked fresh. Fresh vegetables. Sauce was super good but a bit limited in quantity. Nearly perfect. Come back.

Me and my partner are vegetarian connoisseurs and really like bao buns. The “bread” is of poor quality. What I also found deeply disappointing was that despite the tofu version, I found a piece of meat. We will not visit this store again!

The taste was mediocre, unfortunately the meat no longer had a fresh taste and it was a bit unpleasant... I ordered delivery and there was only the soup, meat and noodles, spring onions in it. No lime, peppermint, chili or any toppings present. Unfortunately disappointed.

This is the worst and most expensive bubble tea they we have ever tried in Switzerland. There bubble tea is not freshly made and the tapioca bubble taste really weird. You'll be better off with the Starbucks next door.

we won't come anymore. Unfriendly and not clean. Today we were served by a very unfriendly lady. The 20% voucher that we had with us was accepted with a sniff and instead of a discount we were not charged for a drink (around 12% discount). One of our dishes was ok, the other was disappointing. While we were eating there, customers kept wanting to order bubble tea from the menu at the counter, but it was no longer available (that day).

This was the first meal we ate in Basel and the owner made us feel so welcome and at home. The food was delicious and fast. There was also a very cute little dog sitting behind us :)

I have always ordered from this place with its buy one get one deal on Ubereats, great value for money, it’s rare to get dinner for two for under CHF40 in Basel. However when I went into their restaurant I was more than disappointed: The owner was rude with customers (well perhaps it was an individual thing), I heard him yelling at and hustling his Asian employees both time I was there, poor guys was so stressed and unhappy, bubble tea was horribly sweetened and wrong. You truly get to see if someone is creating dishes from the heart or somewhere else.

We didn't enjoy the food. Too many artificial flavorings. Some ingredients could have been a lot fresher. The pork belly in my Banh mi was very chewy.

Went there today and I was excited to get some bubble tea. It was the fake bubble tea, FAR from the original (there own version) that's what the waitress said. Horrible presentation and the tea tested nothing like original bubble tea in Geneva!!!!!! It was so sad, wasted 17chf 8.50chf each on two small bubble teas (original black milk tea and passion fruit tea). The bubbles are not actually bubbles, it's some sticky chewy caramel and it the same in two different flavours. It might be ok if you have never tested the real bubble tea but this is a fail. My husband poured his original black milk tea away, my passion fruit tested like ice tea. The taste was really bad😭. DO NOT BUY THEIR BUBBLE TEA!!!

Very tasty noodle soup! Love it!

The bubble milk tea I got from Uber eat on Aug 30 was absolutely disgusting and terrible quality. After talked to the restaurant, they said they screwed up making the bubbles and have to throw away 5 kg of them. However, I still got those terrible bubbles, and the restaurant said they could send me a voucher as a refund for next time. Every since they’ve been finding excuses to not send me the voucher which they promised. I found this restaurant very trustless and I won’t go anymore.

Colorful decor, friendly staff. Good menu with fresh ingredients, also sufficiently spicy. The chicken meat tasted good. Sauce a bit monotonous and basically too sweet, so that it masked the different tastes. Reasonable, not exactly cheap prices. Clean, including toilets.

Just a great experience. I randomly spotted the phrase „Vietnamese streetfood“ and found myself in this very cute little restaurant in downtown Basel. I don’t know where to start. The food was very satisfactory. I had the noodles with beef and was totally satisfied. What definitely made my experience here worth remembering, was the service. A guy named „nico“ was just the sweetest, and also the boss we later got to say Hello seemed very friendly. Do yourself a favor and get some food and bubble tea there before or after your shopping trip.

The original bubble milk tea was good, the tea was delicious but the bubble would have needed to be a bit more chewy. I’ll come back for sure to try the food that looks very good.

The food is tasty and well prepared. However, it is extremely unprofessional if an employee (with perceptual distortions) misunderstands the politeness of a customer and includes a personal business card with a private telephone number in the take-away package. Not tragic - but extremely embarrassing, totally tasteless and just plain stupid. :-D

The bánh mì and bún bò are very good, even if my Vietnamese wife say that their bún bò is not the “official version”. We wish they were also open during the evening.

I didn't enjoy the Spicy Pho that wasn't spicy at all (maybe order error?) and the meat was dry and tasteless. Gua Bao Buns were delicious though!1

Until the end of 2020, the food was very tasty and the service on site was very friendly. Since January there has been a significant drop in taste and service, I think. Today I saw that the service person behind the counter generously shook the long hair upside down and tied it back up again. There was also cooking and food was left out in the open... The hands were neither washed nor disinfected afterwards. Again! The other two colleagues probably didn't notice. I'm thinking carefully about whether I go there again... Otherwise the offer would be good.

Tested a Banh Mi with Pork Belly today. The taste and composition are close to Banh Mi in Vietnam. The "baguette" (it's not a baguette but sandwich bread) is absolutely out of place. It should be a real baguette, maybe look for a real baker in the region. In addition, 14 CHF is not justified. Hope this helps you. Greeting Dao

V'OODLES es un gran lugar con comida deliciosa y auténtica en Basilea. No hay nada en el menú que no quisiéramos probar, así que pedimos un montón de comida y estamos convencidos de la calidad y el sabor de sus platos. Muchas gracias por darnos una pequeña muestra de Vietnam.

Una de mis comidas favoritas es la vietnamita. Hay varios restaurantes vietnamitas en Basilea y yo ocupo un lugar destacado en la lista. Pedí el sándwich que era muy ligero y crujiente, y rollitos de verano. Tiene un poco de fusión porque tiene kimchi dentro del sándwich y mango dentro del rollo de verano, pero me gustó. Es una sensación de comida callejera, no el tipo de lugar para una primera cita.

Das Essen ist sehr gut, frisch zubereitet und das Personal super freundlich. Preis-Leistung finde ich gut, vor allem bei den Gua Baos.

The food is okay, everything else is not. The order was written down on napkins, questions were not answered when ordering, the tables were sticky and dirty, the food came very staggered and you eat from plastic plates with plastic cutlery. The price-performance ratio is not right.

I had a ban mi (sandwich). It was very good, but too expensive. For 14 chf I expect at least half a baguette, not 1/4. A pity. I'll try something different next time.

It wasn't until December that I discovered the slightly hidden street food restaurant. Unfortunately, or rather better said, it is slightly hidden in the hallway at Scala. It offers some seating options. The food is freshly prepared and has never disappointed me. Whether vegetarian or with meat, the dishes impress with their freshness and lots of taste. Maybe it's just me, but I feel full but not satiated or exhausted every time I've been to V'oodles. The V'oodles is definitely in my favorite lunch recommendation.

I often go there at lunchtime and really like the location. The employees are hard-working and nice and try to sell a good product. The food is highly recommended and can also be taken away. Price-performance ratio is right and I will definitely come back.

Ich bin öfters am Mittag dort und muss sagen, dass das Konzept sehr stimmig ist. Die Bedienung super nett, das Essen frisch und die Preise im guten Segment. Ich kann es nur empfehlen und hoffe, dass es den Laden noch lange gibt.

Ein kleines vietnamesisches Streetfoodrestaurant. Kleinere Auswahl, dafür alles superauthentisch!!! Ich denke es war der leckerste Vietnamfood ausserhalb Vietnams! Und zudem sind die Preise wirklich mehr als OK!! Unbedingt hingehen damit der Laden überlebt! Man wird es nicht bereuen!!!

While looking for a Vietnamese restaurant in Basel, we discovered Voodles. It's not a real restaurant, more of a small bistro. There are a few seating options, you order and pay directly at the counter, and the food is then brought directly to the table. The Bun Bo Nam Bo is very cheap. I asked for extra avocado as a topping, but unfortunately it was forgotten, but it was still delicious. The summer roll was also very tasty. Unfortunately there is only vitamin water/iced tea and beer to drink, no cola or anything like that. Still highly recommended.

5/5 for the Noodle soup with shrimps. Nice atmosphere, good service, fair prices. Def a recommendation if you're looking for Vietnamese cuisine 😋

Very nice and yummy. Recommended. I loved the noodles with shrimps. Be careful of the fresh cut peppers that you can have on the side. Killer hot.

Here you can eat very good, fresh salads and vegetables. Homemade pasta. There are various sauces, pesto. VIETNAMESE RICE, HERE, VERY GOOD.

Pho was very tasty! The place is small and casual but very friendly :) the food was served promptly -> definitely recommend!

We found this new place hiding behind the Starbucks on Freie Strasse. They have a simple, straightforward menu of typical Vietnamese dishes. Everything is well-made and very fresh and tasty. They can handle both mild and spicy tastes. This restaurant is no-frills and very kid friendly, and gave me a good chance to introduce my son to Vietnamese cooking.

Very good Vietnamese food. Service wasn't great yet, had to remember our order to get it.

If you’re in favor of supporting local and family restaurants, this place is for you. Delicious and fresh food, cozy place and wonderful attention. Not very expensive, not stylishly but more than perfect. We visited Basel city and this was the finishing touch.
