Very authentic Indian food, great ambience and very polite and welcoming staff and owners

Pretty nice place for a gather up. The food was nice. I particularly liked the Tom Ka Gai. We also stayed longer than we should have, and they were nice and didn’t kick us out.

Unique Indian ambience A small fanatic Indian restaurant in the middle of Zurich. The staff is very friendly and lovely. The food is very fine and freshly prepared. The price-performance ratio is also right. Will definitely come back.

Very friendly and attentive service. The food is very authentic, well seasoned and with lots of garlic. We recommend sharing the starter/main course, which comes with lamb, chicken and veggie. Highlight: Knobli Naan bread.

Nicely furnished with a good view of the excellent kitchen. The only disadvantage is the large selection of delicious food, as this can lead to difficulties in making decisions. To try everything you just have to come several times.

Disappointing experience with serious consequences I am very disappointed with my last experience with Vulkan Restaurant. On December 11, 2023, I ordered the Gosht Vindaloo dish via Uber Eats. Unfortunately, shortly after consuming it, I developed serious symptoms of food poisoning, including vomiting, diarrhea, fever, body aches, headaches, and dehydration. This was an extremely unpleasant and disturbing experience that affected me greatly. I then contacted the restaurant to share my situation in the hope that they would take the incident seriously and respond accordingly. Unfortunately, to date I have not received a response to my complaint. This lack of commitment to customer service and accountability is extremely concerning, especially given the severity of the situation. For these reasons, I unfortunately cannot recommend the Vulkan restaurant. I hope that the restaurant will take more responsibility and take such incidents seriously in the future.

Very good food. Recommend the Gosht Vindaloo or Gosht Rogan Josh. A bit on the pricier side but worth it, considering it's in the center of Zurich.

Our visit to the Indian restaurant Vulkan in Zurich was a true culinary delight. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, with authentic Indian decor and dim lighting creating a pleasant mood. The menu offered a wide selection of classic Indian dishes. We chose several dishes including the Chicken Tikka Masala.

It was a wonderful experience when I visited with my uncle at Vulkan's Restaurant in Zurich. Following are some of my observations: Awesome Indian Cuisines, professional service by staff and a nostalgic feel in respect of infrastructure inside the restaurant. I recommend their Tandoori Naan, Egg Curry and Paneer Masala for sure to try.

Last week I had been to Vulkan. Staff is helpful, ambience is cosy. Food is fantastic. I had visited with few friends, loved chicken tikka masala with garlic naan. Amitsari fish was succulent. Paneer masala was flavoursome. We also tried Paneer chilly in starters. And dal makhani was class apart. Vulkan is one of my go to places in Zurich.

vulkan is a must visit spot. It has a beautiful interior and also the outdoor sitting space . The north indian food is delectable. It is based in prime location of the city near the zurich railway station.

A great restaurant with fine food, well behaved staff, beautiful sitting area outdoors. Must try- Paneer Lababdaar, Navratna korma and definitely papad. They welcome tourists with great enthusiasm.

It's been a nice experience in Switzerland, I visited the Vulkan (Indian Restaurant), the staff is very responsive, and Food is very Delicious, the main food I loved in Vulkan is Fish Curry, the sitting in the hotel is very good. Missing the taste 🔍 😋.

I was on a business tour and really missing Indian snacks. I visited here and ate Samosa, and it was fabulous just like the taste of any indian restaurant.

This is one of Zurich's top Indian restaurants. Really all of the food is authentic Indian taste. The chef's passion for the food he makes is evident on the plate. Even though preparation can take a while, it is worthwhile.

My son works in zurich and whenever i had a telephonic conversation with him he said that he always have a soup in the evening. when I visited to meet him i also tried the soup here. The soup and the atmosphere both were very well and the staff was very co-ordinating with language issues persons.

Being an Indian, I have fast on the day of rakhi. And in India sisters don't eat till they tie rakhis to their brother. Since I was in a meeting and waiting for my brother to tie rakhi and kept fast for him was hungry as well. I had the meeting near the restaurant and one of the locals suggested me to go their. He said I might get something to eat on the fast. And it was true. The sabudana Vada which I ate was great and suggest everybody to have a taste of it.

I recently went to Switzerland and localite suggested me this place! The best suggestion i got for sure. The hospitality by there staff is excellent and the food( tandoori garlic naan) is one of my fav dish, the ambiance is pretty. Definitely add vulkan into your list!

For a dinner for two, we ordered two dishes to share and enjoyed the evening very much: the friendly service was attentive and courteous, we didn't wait long for the food and the prices seemed justified. I particularly appreciated that there are also vegan dishes..

Very disappointing, asked especially for spicy Indian dish and got the mildest possible. Even after extra requests received just mild souse to make it more spicy, what makes absolutely no sense. As the explanation they told me they have spices from Mexico and that’s the problem they cannot offer what set on the card anymore. Never go the again!

This is one of the best Indian restaurant in Zurich Really all food authentic. You can feel the love of the chef in the plate for the food he prepare.
