Really nice restaurant, relaxed atmosphere, lots of different food options and everything we ordered was delicious. Prices are normal for Switzerland, maybe even a bit lower.

Have a coffee and enjoy the view and the beautiful weather on the terrace

Had lunch here. Tried Pateli Stroganoff for the first time - a poem! My wife and granddaughter were also very happy with their food. The restaurant is beautiful, the service is perfect and friendly. Restaurant is absolutely recommended!

An incredibly rustic, beautifully furnished resti, right on the way from Hasliberg towards central Switzerland. Loving furnishings and warm conditions, the food was also very tasty.

We had a lovely lunch in the restaurant. I had the spare ribs and my girlfriend pork with cheese on top of it. The portions are very generous and the quality price is appropriate. We were so full 😋 The staff was lovely and made the experience all round perfect. Big thanks!

We had something to eat in Waldegg today and unfortunately I had a short black hair in my salad. That can happen, but I lost my appetite and wanted to let the salad go back, almost untouched. Unfortunately the boss was very uncooperative with the words “The chef has no hair”. That hasn't changed the fact, because we don't have short black hair on our heads. The boss wanted to appear intimidating and immediately confronted us about our problem. But I only wanted to eat something that was perfect. Since I barely touched the salad, I didn't want to pay for the salad. I was turned away because: The cook has no hair at all. The service was still attentive, the boss was unfriendly. We wouldn't recommend. At least we got 4 CHF off, but we still paid 18 CHF for an imperfect and declining salad. These were the most expensive two lettuce leaves I have ever eaten. It would be my fault for not eating the salad.

Good food selection. Right on the Brünigpass, friendly service, large terrace also covered.😊 Large parking lot available. Also suitable for groups.

Of course I can do this rest of Waldegg many years! It's right after Brünig train station At the top of the pass, 1st street, turn left twice. This Brünig Pass is nicer to drive than the Autobahn A. I am spoiled because I'm a Bünzli-CH-Swiss I like a lot of good, fine CH-Swiss food Better than fast food, it doesn't always have to be chicken Nuugets with fries, pizza, burgers or kebabs be! I Noerby like seasonal CH cuisine A thousand times better. That means eating healthy!

Despite many customers, we received good and friendly service. Food is also fine.

After the steep climb on bicycle up from Meiringen georgos route, we treated us to some ice cream, as we had made it up Brünigpass. Delicious flavors and nice sized coups. Service was friendly but very much overwhelmed with attendance.

Top service, nice restaurant and wonderful ambience. Fine food and sufficiently large, whether group or individual guests. Ideal location near the Brünig-Hasliberg train station. Parking lots available. Visit without overnight stay, therefore no review of the rooms.

We missed our train and found this restaurant accidentally. Surprisingly amazing food! We had the spareribs and pastetli, both were flavorful and had perfect portions. The owner and the servers are really nice. Surprised that this place is not on Yelp.

A lovely restaurant with many Portuguese speaking waiters, who do speak English very well too. This was our first restaurant we ate at when we arrived in Grindelwald, Switzerland.

Made a stop on the Brünig Pass Lunch at the Waldegg restaurant eaten. Daily menu: soup or salad Potato salad and ham for 16. Fr. Large portions and very good Price/performance is right here Friendly staff And.... rarely seen such a beautiful sanitary facility (toilets). Would love to stop again

Are you a smoker? Do you want a good meal, a beer and some pop music? Then Waldegg is just right for you to take a break. You arrive and can park your car or motorcycle directly in a large parking lot. The train station, which doesn't leave often, is right next to it. Really comfortable when you're traveling by public transport. Outside, a large, half-covered terrace awaits you facing the sun ☀️. Good for smokers who don't always want to be left out in the rain. You sit on light chairs with armrests and that makes everything even more comfortable. There are 2 large indoor dining rooms. The staff is friendly and with heart. Toilets are clean and modern. If you happen to pass by here, stop here. After your visit, you are guaranteed to travel more relaxed. Enjoy. Thanks to the nice service. 💜

We ate there outdoors in summer, the food is really good, just that there were so many flies around the food and table, I barely could eat, there are helpful solutions they could have done. Next time we’ll choose a table inside.

We each ordered a coffee and a sheet cake of plums with cream and apricots with cream and a scoop of caramel ice cream. Unfortunately the ice cream was on the wrong plate and that's why I rate the service 2 stars less because we didn't get what we wanted as we ordered. But the cake was very tasty and homemade.

Very unfriendly service, condescending and lecturing. Such a shame. Well...us and our family and friends and acquaintances definitely won't come to your place. Otherwise, the restaurant appears well-kept, clean and serene.

Friendly service and good food. Unfortunately, many restaurants confuse vegetarian dishes with diets: for 22.- you can expect a nice plate of vegetables, but the “quantity” is only an illusion created by the volume of the rucola. In the end the portion corresponds to 1/3 of a normal dish. Damage.
