A wonderful little restaurant in the old town of Bern. The chef comes to the table personally. The service is super attentive, nice and professional. Excellent craftsmanship, delicious wines, everything together is simply fantastic.

A real treat. An unforgettable evening with great food, very polite staff who make everything possible. The wine accompaniment is a dream. Great ambience. More is not possible!

Wonderful evening. Everything was fine. A very small drawback: the accompanying wines could have cost 12 francs instead of 15 francs per glass. But culinary terms are at least one Gault Millau point higher than rated. Big praise to the whole team

We have celebrated my husband's birthday at Wein & Sein and it was just amazing. The food was extremely delicious and creative. The place was nice, very calm and elegant. The service perfect. They even came up with a birthday cake with candles at the end. We highly recommend!

Our eater was great! We were served very politely and courteously throughout the evening. Nothing goes unnoticed by the staff and they are always ready and available to meet your every need. I find it very practical to be able to decide how many courses should be accompanied. For me, 4 courses were completely enough. My partner, on the other hand, wanted to add another one. I would happily recommend the wine accompaniment. I was able to taste many interesting wines this way. Everyone was very consistent with the dish. My partner was also allowed to enjoy the meal, but she wanted a non-alcoholic alternative. I was really amazed at what alternatives came out of the bar. Everything is very consistent and convincing. The only negative point is the stairs. When I went up, I no longer noticed the concrete surface, but I felt it 😅 Wein & Sein is for full enjoyment, not for a small budget. However, I really enjoyed every course and am happy to recommend it.

This was by far one of the best restaurants we have ever visited. The dishes were exquisite and excellent. The wines matched perfectly. The service (the boss serves here herself) was extremely friendly, very attentive, simply perfect! This rating is not just adulation, but rather real recognition for this young, committed team from “Wein & Sein”. The prices are very high, but reasonable considering the very high quality. What we really liked is that you never had the feeling of being out of place, as often happens in starred restaurants. We recommend.

On the last day of my honeymoon trip in Switzerland, I came to this cellar restaurant in Bern. From the bread main dishes to the desserts, everything was of a certain standard. There was also a beautiful butterfly on the dessert. My husband, who loves butterflies, immediately took a photo with him. Take a photo as a souvenir~~❤️

It has one Michelin star, but it is a bit different from what I expected. I estimate that you can eat something of similar quality in Taiwan for about 1,500 (personal opinion). Overall, it's quite disappointing. In addition, one piece of meat in the main meal is very hard, almost well-done, and the other piece is beautifully medium-rare. I don’t know why it is designed like this XD Not good By the way, the desserts are very delicious, but it’s not enough for a Michelin restaurant to only have delicious desserts, right?

The two of us went to dinner very spontaneously and really enjoyed it. Our Amuse Buche as well as the six standard and additional courses were all extremely tasty and were partly served and explained by the kitchen crew themselves. The service is very attentive and professional, but also very warm and uncomplicated. The wine pairing is also great, always offers alternatives if you don't like something, and the price is very fair. We would love to come back and can only recommend Wein & Sein.

A super harmonious evening. Service was very friendly. The various courses were very tasty and a real taste experience. Price/performance top! What I really like is that the wine accompaniment can be chosen per course and not everything has to be included/charged for and there are also half glasses. The selected wines went perfectly with the food. We'll definitely be back!

We were there for the birthday party and were able to sit outside in the best weather. The ambience was so very atmospheric. The evening was an absolute success from start to finish. The food was of the highest quality with seasonal ingredients and everyone enjoyed it very much. The pork main course and the dessert were particularly memorable. The wines were perfectly matched to the courses and in many cases there was also a little story about the wines. But what ultimately made the evening perfect was the exceptionally good service. You feel welcome from the start. And although the service is completely professional, there is no lack of humor and relaxedness. Thank you very much, it was a pleasure and I would be happy to do it again.

The small cellar restaurant has undergone a very interesting development! The last chef was already talented, but now they serve really interesting and tasty cuisine, apart from the lamb, which was ultimately underripe and too pale, the food here is delicious and anything but boring! Very good service with interesting wine recommendations! We will be back definitely!

Best meal I’ve ever had. Staff were fantastic and so professional, yet personable. A really special place.

This was probably one of my best dining experiences in Switzerland. I booked dinner for my wife's birthday on la fourchette for a Friday night. We were trying to find the restaurant but kept walking past it, as Google maps took us to the spot where the restaurant is, but we didn't know that we had to be on the outside of the sidewalk and go down the stairs to the basement. Once we found it though, we were quickly seated and offered a drink and an amuse bouché. I liked the ambient music and lighting. The music was not loud, which allows for conversation without having to yell across the table. The restaurant seemed full, but not in a crowded way. The restaurant has it's courses set up in a way where you aren't brought a menu, but rather you can choose options within a a course. We chose the 3 entrées, and opted for the wine pairings, which was great. The food was amazing. Each dish had lots of flavor and was unlike plain traditional cuisine. After we finished our main, which i believe was veal steak, we were offered either dessert or a platter of cheese. As we asked for the bill, we were also offered some house made chocolate, which was a nice final touch. Most surprisingly however, i had added a note on la fourchette that this was a birthday dinner, and we were surprised with a cake and candle. This was a great end to the experience. The staff was also genuinely friendly and happy, which we both enjoyed.

Excellent welcome with efforts to speak French. Original formula with a single menu, small dishes (here 5 plus dessert... plus the aperitif, plus the appetizer, plus the sweets...) but you come out without hungry, a wine for each dish which is happily reserved with a choice sought-after and surprising (Ah! The sparkling rosé from England…) Now the essentials are on the plate! Creativity, search for mixed and delicate flavors, finesse and beauty of presentation are on the menu. Only one criticism concerns the eggplant caviar tartlet which seemed too complex in flavors to me, which gives an idea where the cursor is placed! If you want a big dinner for a lumberjack, refrain. A rare experience to be repeated. The price, high and deserved in view of the pleasure provided, is on par with a two Michelin star restaurant.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was lovingly prepared and tasted good. Unfortunately, the courses are really tiny, so you can hardly get enough even with the (very expensive) 6-course menu. The wine accompaniment to the menu is not included. For this extreme price level, I would have at least expected to be full. A visit to Burger King afterwards was unavoidable.

It's always nice and we had a lovely evening there. I think the selection is wide-ranging and so far whatever I've received has tasted fantastic through and through. I think the place is suitable for all sorts of occasions — unimportant whether with your partner, friends or relatives; ).Super great and friendly service. I think the entire staff there did a good job.

The food and service are at a very high level. The atmosphere is wonderful for a lovely evening. Unfortunately, the portions of the individual courses are too small for the price level. If three ladies eat the excellent Steinhauer bread in large quantities, the portions are definitely too small. If the main course is served with more side dishes in the future, nothing stands in the way of another star.

The professionalism of the employees is truly impressive. There's a lot that really tickles the taste buds there. The quantities are an appealing and filling dimension. The armchairs are extremely comfortable and I find the distance between the tables very appropriate. There you don't get the feeling that you're eating dinner like cucumbers in a can. We were absolutely positively surprised. We will all definitely come back.

A memorable moment. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Intimate and romantic atmosphere. The dishes are not very copious but are succulent and of good quality. The staff is efficient without being pushy. The prices remain fair for the quality offered.

We visited Wein & Sein in November and had a great dinner. We reserved well ahead and on the Wednesday we visited the restaurant was full. So a reservation is most likely necessary. The menu is a set menu with multiple courses. The food was absolutely extraordinary, as so were the wines.

We were in a small group at Wein & Sein. What was special for me was that there was only one menu. What was exciting, however, was that you could remove or add individual courses. A different wine was served with each course and the friendly and very competent hostess explained for each course and each wine what was on the plate and where the wine came from. The price is certainly a little higher than elsewhere, but the price-performance ratio was 100% right. Over all: always happy and recommended!

We had our team dinner at Wein&Sein this evening and the anticipation was confirmed. From the moment you sit down at the table to the moment you leave the restaurant, everything is perfect. For my part, I can say that nothing has bothered us yet! The restaurant was a success in my mouth every time. Thanks. I can only recommend the restaurant! The waitresses are always lovely and very accommodating. This makes me very happy every time I visit. The local is super easy to get to! The good transport connections make a quick meal trip possible.

Absolutely delightful The staff are so friendly, helpful and informative. The food was beautiful, delicious and plentiful. One of us was vegetarian and they were able to fully accommodate our dietary needs. The meal was a bit pricey, but worth it for the lovely multi-course, hour-long meal. This is more than a dinner - it's an experience! Highly recommend the restaurant for those in Bern.
