A place with a nice atmosphere. You can have a meal here too, but it is rather a place to have a drink with friends or colleagues.

A beautiful place, trendy and frequented by people of all ages... Great service. You eat very well there and there was a large selection of drinks, aperitifs, cocktails, wines, etc. you can drink everything. Great place to enjoy a nice evening with friends or to visit or reserve for business events! Very good... highly recommended!!

Came here for drinks on a Wednesday evening and it was pretty busy! I love the industrial design of the place and the vibe it has. Maybe time to get a live band going there once in a while. It would be awesome! So many options for cocktails and other long drinks but beer on tap is pretty limited to 1-2 options. Make sure you book a table if you are a group of more than 4.. Parking around is tricky

Exceptionally exciting location in an old factory hall with big city flair. Attentive service and great drinks! Club sandwiches according to all the rules. High noise level is the only downer. I'm looking forward to the next visit!

Had an excellent Christmas dinner with fast and courteous service. Because it is a hall, it is of course relatively loud, but it is still easy to discuss.

Please invest in soundproofing installations. It's getting pretty loud...

The factory ambience in Werk 8 is very interesting and worth a visit. When it comes to service, I unfortunately have to say that I don't really think it's great that as a guest you are treated like your best friend by the employee. I wanted a gin and tonic and when I asked which gin was available, the employee held his ordering tablet in my face and told me to take a look for myself. Unfortunately you have to wait a long time until your order is served.

The industrial aesthetic of this venue is truly original and captivating. The staff provided excellent recommendations for selecting drinks, particularly considering the establishment's array of unique cocktails. We had an exceptional experience. While it might be slightly outside the center of Basel Stadt, an evening at this venue is undoubtedly worthwhile.

Ambient stay with very good food. The only complaint is the enormously large water glasses, which hardly allow you to fill them up a second time.

After a long wait we got a watery mojito for 17.-

A modern yet cozy location with lots of sofas, but also tables and a bar. I've been there several times for a friend's birthday. The drinks (both with and without alcohol) were always really good. The fries and fish crispies, as well as falafel balls are also recommended. Meatballs and brownies aren't particularly good in my opinion, but it's a matter of taste 😉 The service is friendly and attentive.

Food is ok, no taste, and expensive Drinks ok, can be better. Drinks menu can be more elaborate, and the bartender should be able to make drinks that are not on the menu, they have a full bar ! Service was good, prompt and courteous

Food is ok, but nothing special. Options are very limited though, especially for desserts. The place is nice, but the service needs to be improved.

The ambience on a sunny day is great. Was there with a friend to end the evening with a cocktail and something to snack on. The snacks were great - especially the fries with the homemade dip. However, when we ordered, they couldn't answer our question about what kind of dip it was... The Teriaky Mestballs weren't bad either - it's just that the sauce is more like ketchup than teriyaki. The names and descriptions of the cocktails piqued our interest, so we were able to ignore the prices for the time being. When they were served, the look was impressive, but unfortunately it was a disappointment when it came to enjoyment and therefore definitely not worth the high price. It was more medicine than fun for the palate :-( I'll still come back - but for a coke and fries.

The fries are delicious, the meatballs taste good but more like ketchup than terryaki and the cocktails was a bit expensive for the quantity overall would go again for the food but not the drinks

The food was delicious and rich and Sascha's attentive service left nothing to be desired. The summer salad was very fine, as was the pike perch and the matching wine. Many people also really enjoyed the club sandwich. The ambience was nice, but the background noise was a bit louder, so it's ideal to come here with friends or groups. For couples who want to be alone, a few more partitions would have to be installed. ;)) We stayed at this location for the team event and were very satisfied overall, thank you.

Joined Werk 8 for drinks. Location is very cool and vibrant. During nice weather the courtyard is available for sitting and enjoying a warm summer's night. The drinks menu is good, but perhaps a little pricey. Nevertheless recommended to have a nice get together with friends/ colleagues etc.

Great outdoor atmosphere. The only drawback, like almost everywhere in Gundeli, is that the parking situation is better with public transport, bike or on foot.

Cozy atmosphere in an old converted industrial hall. Small but fine menu with a large selection of drinks and cocktails. Be sure to make a reservation as it is usually quite full.

Very good cocktails (both with and without alcohol), good value for money and friendly service. The building (former factory hall) on Gundeldingerfeld has a special atmosphere and has been beautifully converted.

This is still a fantastic place. Good food and great drink selection. However inside it was quite noisy and once they turned on the loud music, we couldn’t hear each other anymore.

The place is undoubtedly beautiful and particular. I made the reservation via the site which is only in German and is already a limitation which is then reconfirmed in the menus which only present the name of the product without the specification of the various components, which is mandatory for those who are allergic and necessary for a Swiss restaurant in 2023. Prices beyond all logic and minimal portions. Extremely disappointed.

Magical place in a former industrial site, very good atmosphere to see!!

Nice bar in an unusual room. The beers are good, the cocktails look particularly interesting, but unfortunately I didn't taste them. The Fried Chicken, club sandwich and fries boards are worth it! The only downside is that the piece resonates a lot, but as the evening progresses we no longer pay attention to it.

We live nearby and go to Werk 8 several times a year. Every time the service is super nice, attentive and courteous. The food is always very good (be sure to try the club sandwich!). Large selection of drinks & good beer. The location in the old factory is unique in Basel, offers plenty of space and you don't feel cramped. Can highly recommend Werk 8.

We were seated quickly, but then had to wait about 25 minutes before we had the opportunity to order drinks. Our order only included 2 beers (bottled). It took another 20 minutes for the two beers to be brought to us. They were only served in the bottle and without a glass. Why it took so long is a mystery to us. It's a shame, because otherwise there would have been a cozy atmosphere outside.
